**Game Planning and Strategy: A Detailed Look**
In this week's session, our team of coaches and analysts sat down to discuss game planning and strategy for an upcoming match against their opponents, The Blues. Our focus was on utilizing effective tactics to outmaneuver their defense and create scoring opportunities.
**Defensive Setup**
The first step in our defensive setup is to occupy the midfield area with four players. This will allow us to provide pressure on the opponent's midfield, while also protecting our own defense. We've identified two areas of focus for our defenders: the central area and the wide areas. In the center, we'll have three defenders defending against an overload of five opponents. However, this will create opportunities for us to play through the midfield and stretch the pitch.
**Receiving Zone**
We've designated a receiving zone in the center of the field, where our players can receive passes from their teammates. This area is crucial in creating scoring opportunities, as it allows us to move the ball quickly and efficiently through the opponent's defense. We'll also have an extra zone for movement, which will provide flexibility and options for our attackers.
**Midfield Rotation**
To create confusion among the opponent's defenders, we'll use midfield rotation and stretching of the pitch. This will allow our players to come out of their positions and occupy new areas on the field. By doing so, we'll be able to play through the midfield and create opportunities for scoring.
**Pressing the Ball**
When receiving the ball in our designated receiving zone, we'll look to press the opponent's defenders immediately. This will put pressure on them and force them to make mistakes. We'll use this opportunity to bounce the ball around and create space for ourselves.
**Patient Play**
However, if the opponent's team is sitting off us, we'll need to be patient and occupy the spaces in between their players. By doing so, we'll entice them into pressure on the ball, which will create opportunities for us to play through. We'll use this patience to our advantage, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
**Bouncing Passes**
As we progress through the game, we'll look to bounce passes around the opponent's defense. This will force them to make mistakes and leave space for us to exploit. By using these bouncing passes, we'll be able to create opportunities for scoring and outmaneuver their defense.
**Attacking Opportunities**
Once we've established a strong presence in the opponent's half, we'll look to attack and score goals. We'll use our midfield rotation and stretching of the pitch to create opportunities for ourselves. By doing so, we'll be able to exploit any weaknesses in the opponent's defense and find the back of the net.
**Conclusion**
In conclusion, our game planning and strategy will focus on creating pressure on the opponent's midfield, while also protecting our own defense. We'll use our receiving zone and extra zone for movement to create scoring opportunities, and employ patient play to entice the opponent into making mistakes. By using bouncing passes and attacking with confidence, we'll be able to outmaneuver their defense and find success on the field.
**Final Animation**
Before concluding this week's session, we've prepared a final animation that highlights our key strategies and tactics. This animation will showcase our defensive setup, receiving zone, midfield rotation, pressing the ball, patient play, bouncing passes, and attacking opportunities. By watching this animation, our team can get a better understanding of how to execute these strategies on the field.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwelcome to session sunday hi guys it's jack edwards and today's session is going to be focusing on breaking down the opposition but before we get into this week's video make sure to leave us a like and subscribe and if you missed last week's video click on the link above okay so moving into the first part of this week's session we're going to be looking at how we can break down the opposition by playing through the middle of the pitch so but before we get into it let's have a have a look at how many players we've got this week and the equipment that we'll be using so and since outfield played this out of field players this week we're gonna have 14 outfield players plus a goalkeeper but for the first part of the session okay we're not going to be using a goalkeeper so if you do have a key pair and you want them to obviously get warmed up and you can work on their own little things that's fine if you do want them to get involved that's fine you can always have the goalkeeper starting at one end and being a feeder okay and you can also have maybe another coach as a feeder and you're there in on the other line here as well or you can either as a as a goal you can even have a goal behind and the greens could look to win the ball back and then score in the goal before swapping over so in terms of the setup for this part of the session okay we're going to be having 50 yards of total depth 30 yards of total width so 220 yard areas 110 yard area and then 30 yards of width in terms of the equipment for this week we were looking at balls bibs and cones okay and obviously we're going to be using goals as well if you don't have goalkeepers we can use smaller sided goals so in terms of the cones we always say about using those flat markers to try and split different areas of the pictures up so the ball doesn't obviously roll over the cone and change the direction of the ball so what we'll focus on in this part of the session is we're trying to play through the opposition so we're breaking them down so we're trying to move the ball quickly to then find gaps to play through so we're encouraging our movement both on and off the ball moving the ball quickly okay that tempo the fluidity of our movement so we're going to be starting with the blues in possession so the coach will play into the blues either end to start with looking to have players occupying this middle area okay so they're going to try and overload by using you can have players dropping into here if you want to you can allow that or not but you can have your options with your height width and depth okay so our attacking principles have a height width and depth across the pitch so looking to maneuver the ball it can be a 3v3 in here the greens may look to push an extra player in but to start with i'd say you want to try and do whereas the players are locked in so we can start to get some rhythm in the play and then look to progress it will have different players into changing off the different areas so i'm going to move the ball to play through receiving in these tight areas so in between the lines so in games when teams are playing compact we've got to be able to receive the ball maybe with two players around us to play through and we keep that ball every time they play three and twist to play you can do a point system where the team gets a gets a point to it to score so the blues keep moving that ball okay players look to get themselves in position they don't have to just play through the middle you could to where they missed it house and play through again that's fine so they've got to obviously try and create their space and it means the players are new to the box are always got to stay alive and aware of where the ball is so looking to move that ball again can we get some movements in and around the pitch it could be moving to here this play comes short which could create some space and we get that ball down the line if the greens then win the ball back they'll just then look to secure the ball okay get players into areas to then obviously we're going to transition so you're going to have blue players trying to press the ball quickly greens are looking to secure it okay and then get themselves into an area to then pinch the ball back okay so are they going to set this seven players up is it going to be three two and two is it going to be if you could have three three and one as well so you can obviously try and adapt data however you want to do it in terms of your formation and your style of play okay but what we're going to be trying to go with is trying to get it overload in one area for the team in possession okay and then like i say we can try and interchange once we're trying to progress but the aim of this of this part of the session is trying to play through either through that middle into this middle area so playing through the lines or can we mess it up with our movements okay and then play through into the final third we will now move into our first animation before moving on to part two of this week's session now moving into part two of this week's session we're now looking to work the ball into the final phase of penetrate but it's going to be playing against a low block okay so mid to low block so we're going to be focusing on that possession and our in possession shape as well so in terms of the setup we're going to be going with 55 yards of total depth so 25 yards in the final third 30 yards in this middle area as well okay and we're going to go 45 yards a total width 25 yards centrally and 10 yards either side so there's going to be eight blues six screens and then our goalkeeper so if you don't have a goalkeeper for the session you can just look to have small site that goals or put a coach or a volunteer whoever you can to go in gold so in terms of the blues we're going to be focusing on a three-man midfield okay with the full backs obviously supporting the attack and then our front three you're looking to stay narrow okay occupying the defense so then when they receive the ball trying to be intricate and then trying to score okay so what our focus is is being patient moving that ball switching it okay so can we step in okay can we play the ball forward if not can we keep switching the play okay so i'm not trying to force things too early okay having the ability to take the risk we're not trying to force things when you know the options may not be there straight away so it's being patient i was saying in that possession so it could be that when the ball is even in here the greens may step up slightly but if there's no pressure on the ball okay can we look to step in as well to maybe force on them into an area where they can close down which might mean that we get the chance to play wide to then break the lines and play through and then we can look to attack that final third the winger might spin off anyone can move into these areas okay the striker might come in this play might get closed down we get the other wing to make them run across okay so can we look to be intricate get ourselves in there so it's got to be neat and tidy to get into the final theory to finish okay because when teams set up in a low block they're restricting the space okay they're making it difficult and they're telling us you know you've got to be quality in that final third there's got to be quality to get the ball in there otherwise we're going to win it there might be no pressure on the ball at all when we step in the players might not um step out they might just continue to drop okay let's be patient and wait for them to jump because they're going to try and win the ball back sometime because the greens are looking to win it back and score through these small side of goals in here so when we've got that ball in wide areas okay can we have options coming in short okay not just moving away to receive across can we have options coming in short can we have midfielders breaking the lines getting behind the opposition line okay with our pivot in here all the time ready to receive it although the fullback provided an option because we might have to strike it comes in short okay midfielders can spin in okay we get our wingers going out can we get a player coming in here center back might get tight we set it in we get another run from midfielder and we go in and score okay so we're planing is that mid to low block are they going to pressure the ball you could try and give the greens instructions could be after five passes you look to go and press the ball okay it might be when they go press you press for three passes or four passes and then you get back into your shape if you're on a ball so then gives us a chance to try and work around them when they are pressuring us to find no space and score and what these players in wide areas provide that width getting that depth with our front three and we're getting the height in here okay with our midfielders as well we will now move into our next animation before moving on to the final part of this week's session okay so moving into the final part of this week's session we're now focusing on a small side of the game which is focusing on stretching the pitch okay with our height width and depth to then play through the opposition to then go and score so in terms of the setup for this part of the session in terms of our depth okay we're gonna have two 25-yard areas okay so there's 50 yards 10 yards in the middle making it 60 and then this end zone can just be five yards if you don't want to do an enzo and you can have small sided goals again for the greens to try and score it same as the width we're gonna go 40 yards across these two boxes here just going to be five by five just off the side here so we're looking as if this is going to be full backs or center backs to occupy these areas okay so the greens will have four players okay providing pressure in the midfield okay so it's that mid to high and slash mid to low block the blues are gonna have two players occupying in here with three in here so they're gonna have an overload five versus four but in the center actual central areas we're able to play through they only have three in there so it's encouraging that midfield rotation and stretching the pitch that we get players coming out into these areas okay so then we can get these balls to play through so we've got this area as a receiving zone okay and also an extra zone for us to move into okay so if it's we've highlighted this zone so it's in between the lines okay so these players can move in there these players can move in there as soon as we've received the ball in this area we can play forward and score we can support the attack as well or if you want to it can just be as soon as these three players receive it they can combine in a 3v2 with the overload to go and score so we can do you can maybe do a progression at first it's just a 3v2 then afterwards as soon as the ball goes through we're playing live until the ball is done out of play so the ball start with coach here gets played into the blues okay so looking to maneuver the ball into these areas okay will these go and press the ball will they put pressure on the ball carry it because obviously or they're just going to hold off keep the shape which means that we might get a bit more space okay for the players in the pivot but then we're going to look to stretch the pitch as well it could be looking to set and movement and then when these players get it in these wide areas as well kenny looks to play through okay so we don't always have to receive it in the zone we're just going to play through them we're just trying to highlight in between the lines so it could be played through into this area here player comes out and closes this player comes across okay the center back then is in two minds what do you do do you hold or you drop winger takes it in okay plays across the other side we go in and then we look to score ball starts again with the coach if the greens win it they're looking to get the ball into the end zone by receiving all dribbling in there which means that they're going to take more risks which means that's to leave more space in behind for us to attack so we have our 3v2 in here again let's start up again so we've got there four in there ball gets played in we're moving the ball about okay are they putting pressure on us okay yes they're putting pressure on us use these players here to bounce the ball get it into midfield we can drive into here obviously if you want to do that in a progression this player drives in okay can we get players combining in these areas pull the defenders out into these areas where they don't want to go leaving space in and around the goal area okay for us to attack we get ourselves in and we lock to score okay so if the press on us okay what's our movement going to be in terms of can we get away from the opposition so when the ball is in here it could get played in centrally we get two players attacking us okay we get support from behind are we looking to use these players because then if we're getting we've got movement in between the lines behind the midfield line okay that's when we've got the chances to play through okay if they're sitting off us can we look to be patient okay try to occupy the spaces in between the players and here okay so then we can look to bounce passes which might mean that they try and pressure us which means they leave a bit a couple of yards for us to play through it's that patience okay receiving it trying to entice them into pressure to the ball but keep stretching and switching the play and then eventually you look to find those areas player looks to jump okay can we try and receive it in space and instead of playing in there because we're having that patient play the player then might try and jump out can we lock the turn play through get ourselves in and then look to score we will now move into our final animation before concluding this week's session thanks
