DOLLAR TREE HAUL that blew my mind _ TRYING A DOLLAR TREE CHRISTMAS HACK + Thrifted Finds

I recently went through my dining room and found some amazing books that I just had to incorporate into my junk journaling project. As I was digging through, I stumbled upon this adorable little book titled "The Big Balloon Race". The image on the cover caught my attention immediately - it's so cute! I have no idea how old this book is or when it was first published, but it has an older look to it that I find endearing. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the page numbers indicated that it was published in 1981, which just happens to be the year I was born - crazy coincidence! Despite not knowing more about its origins, I couldn't resist getting it to junk journal with.

Next, I found this Mary Inglesbright book, which is truly a treasure trove of unique illustrations and images. I am beyond thrilled to have discovered this gem at such an affordable price (probably just a dollar!). The inside pages are equally stunning, filled with intricate drawings that will surely inspire my crafty endeavors. I can already envision the possibilities - I'll be using some of these images to create beautiful journaling pages, and maybe even add some additional embellishments to make them truly special.

Moving on, I came across this Southern Living book, which is actually a holiday edition. As I flipped through its pages, I was struck by the gorgeous images that fill it - while not entirely filled with pictures, there are enough to inspire my creativity. The real draw for me, however, is the section dedicated to recipes, which I'll likely keep intact but use some of the pages for crafting projects. It's always a joy to find materials like this that will help bring my ideas to life.

The final find of my treasure hunt was this Better Homes and Garden treasury book, titled "Christmas Crafts and Foods" - published in 1981 no less! As I examined it further, I noticed someone had left their name on the cover, adding a touch of whimsy to this already beautiful book. While the pages themselves are largely black and white (not exactly what I'm used to working with!), I can already envision how stunning this book will look as a display piece - maybe I'll even cut out some pages for journaling or crafting projects.

Last but not least, I stumbled upon these polo shirts while checking out a store. I opted for the plain and simple style (I don't think there was much of a choice!), which seemed fitting given my current mood. The price tag read $9.99, although I believe it might have been on sale at that time.

In other news, my furry companion Loki has been keeping me entertained while I work - his antics are always good for a laugh! As a fun aside, I've included a few photos of him doing his thing - you're welcome to watch and enjoy.
