Is This How The Worlds Largest Off-Road Wrecker Will Look

Kudos to Lizzy and TomTom: A Day of Wheeling Adventure

As we embark on our Easter Jeep Safari adventure, I want to give a shoutout to my co-pilot, TomTom. It's always great to have someone by your side who knows how to navigate the trails. Our first obstacle was Hell's Gate, where Jamie took the lead and drove like a champ. "Just straight up that obstacle," she said with confidence. I couldn't help but feel a little nervous as we watched her take on the challenge.

The team made it through Hell's Gate without any issues, and we decided to head over to the escalator to see what could happen. By the time I arrived, my friend George was already in the bowl, having scraped the top of his Jeep. Matt from Leaping Jeep had come to our rescue, throwing him a freedom winch line that helped get him winched out safely. It was a great feeling knowing that we had each other's backs.

Next up was the escalator itself. With some peer pressure, I decided to give it a try. "How's that?" my driver asked Matt, and I replied with a thumbs-up. "Awesome," he said, which I took as a compliment. The team followed suit, with Rory driving Trail Mater backwards up the escalator, and Robbie taking the giveaway Jeep up next. It was a tricky obstacle, but with some spotting from Rory and a bit of ballast, we were able to make it through without incident.

The final obstacle on our list was the top of the world, courtesy of Barnes four-wheel drive. We made our way up the trail, which turned out to be longer and rougher than I expected. But the views at the end were breathtaking, and there's a great photo op for anyone willing to take it on. As we drove back down, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the experience.

A Big Thank You to Barnes Four-Wheel Drive

We want to give a huge thank you to Brad Connor from Barnes four-wheel drive for organizing this trail ride. It was an amazing experience, and we're so glad we got to share it with Connor and Brad. The team worked together seamlessly, and it was clear that everyone had a great time.

Barnes Four-Wheel Drive: Where You Can Get All the Parts You Need

As we wrapped up our Easter Jeep Safari adventure, we realized just how much we would have needed some of the parts shown on the screen behind us. Luckily, Barnes four-wheel drive has got you covered. From welders to bolts and everything in between, they've got what you need to get your rig ready for the trails.

Catch Up with Paul and the Fabrics Crew

The final day of Easter Jeep Safari was a bittersweet moment – we were sad to say goodbye to our friends and fellow adventurers, but we were also excited to catch up with some old faces. We headed back out on Hell's Revenge one last time, this time with our kids in tow, and let them get a little bit of seat time.

The Easter Jeep Safari Experience: A Must-Visit for Any Off-Roader

If you haven't been to the Easter Jeep Safari yet, I highly recommend adding it to your bucket list. Not only do you have access to rentals and tours, but you can also meet some amazing people who share your passion for off-roading. It's a great community, and we feel so lucky to be a part of it.

Raising Money for an All-Abilities Park

One of the highlights of Easter Jeep Safari was working with the Hurricane Valley Chamber of Commerce to raise money for an all-abilities park. We were thrilled to learn that they had this project in mind and wanted us to help. With the support of our fans, we were able to raise over $22,500 for this wonderful cause. It's been an incredible experience, and we're so grateful to have such a supportive community behind us.

A Final Thank You to Our Fans

Last but not least, we want to extend a huge thank you to all of our fans who supported us throughout this Easter Jeep Safari adventure. Your generosity and enthusiasm mean the world to us, and we couldn't have done it without you. We're already looking forward to next year's event and can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enso we just got back from the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab we had an amazing time caught up with some old friends made some new friends we're going to show you more of that in a minute but first let's talk about the heavy wrecker build big news we got our 54-inch Mickey Thompson Baja Pros we were looking all over the United States for a set of these and Tommy at Off the Grid Motorsports in Canton Ohio was able to find us a set we got five of these bad boys we're waiting on Wheels to get them mounted up but these look amazing I don't even know if you know how excited I am 54 inch tires these are amazing thank you Tommy so in case you're wondering this is a DOT tire that means we can drive it on the road this is literally how I drive ask Tucker can confirm it's been a while since you've seen us work on this let's just catch up to where we are we've got the links tacked in place we've got the basic frame structure built we got the axles mounted with the links so we've been doing a lot of work that wouldn't be interesting to show you it's just calling suppliers researching Parts trying to get parts ordered getting told that they're back ordered that's been going on with the airbags that's been going on with the shocks it's been going on with the engine that's been going on with the transfer case um but finally I think we're at a point now where we can move ahead so by next week we should have a video and you should see some progress on this fingers crossed some parts come in so we've got some good news another thing we've been working on is what kind of a cab we're putting on this for years I've always imagined this as a cab over like a cab Forward Design we've been thinking about it we've been driving some cab forward vehicles and we've decided that the level of how we're going to be using this and where we're going to be taking it the cab forward is actually going to limit its capability so we're gonna go with the cabin a more conventional location so to kind of give you an idea of the layout here engine is going to be right here but garbage can that's not an engine I know it's a garbage can LS engine that should help and then directly behind that is going to be transmission if I spell this wrong my teacher's fault right back here we're gonna have the transfer case that's the basic drivetrain hey Ed how's it going good we're telling these good people where we're putting the stuff in this Frame I wonder what the front end in the rear end was so then from here to here it's going to be a drive shaft and then we're gonna have one go up front we've done a lot of work figuring out what's going to fit and what's not this is not the right transfer case we're actually going to be running a midnight Metal Works case with a doubler it's going to be amazing we're going to have all kinds of gear ratios we are running a gasoline engine sorry to you diesel guys but there are so many reasons why we're not going to be running a diesel we really care about off-road recovery and our capabilities and there's a couple of boxes that a diesel engine won't check oh that's the transmission the motor will be here so the drivetrain's down low this keeps our center of gravity really low like axle level this thing's going to be able to drive on its side without flipping over so where does the cab go since we're not doing an FC I'll show you cab goes right here so Tucker did a concept of this record in Photoshop it's not exactly how it's going to be but it is an amazing rendering that'll give you an idea of what we're looking for and here's that we have been thinking about like a large displacement LS there's several crate motors out there one we've been looking at is a 454 LSX it's an amazing engine they use it a lot in Ultra 4 racing I don't need a race engine though I need a truck engine I would like the displacement but I don't want the wild camshaft and the high stall that that's going to require so I'm kind of thinking about a junkyard motor even if it's a 5.3 and then I can find somebody that knows something about turbocharging we could put a really low boost application like less than eight pounds of boost comes on really early really linear that's what I'd really like just to give it a little bit more you know that you know drive up the hills kind of stuff that's kind of what I've been thinking the last couple days so tell me in the comments below long block crate motor trying to do it that way or should we get a junkyard motor and just see what we can do with the turbo I'm kind of leaning that way right now but let me know what you guys think all right so look forward to this build coming up we're gonna be hitting it pretty hard and now we're going to talk about ejs all right let's talk about the more Vera transmission at the Easter Jeep Safari so one week before Easter Jeep Safari the transmission went out of the more bear we had a lot of things to get ready and get done but that was the big one that needed to be done TomTom came down to help me build a transmission neither of us had ever done that before at least not for a turbo 400 so it went about as you would expect it so if out of the channel Pat stopped by to say hi to us and happened to mention that he knew something about transmission rebuilding he'd been in the business for 25 years so we recruited him to get the transmission built he helped us do that we got it slammed in there the day before we went to the Eastern Jeep Safari we headed out to Moab to test it out so Not only was this the maiden voyage for the transmission and the more air this was also the first time the banana has ever been to Moab we were excited to see how it handled the Moab Trails the first trail that we went on was metal Masher we went with bleep and Jeep and a couple of our other friends I've seen you on YouTube leap and Colt was here still here Jamie did most of the driving on metal Masher the banana handled amazing Jamie did a really good job Wheeling it over some of the biggest obstacles there it was a great way to kick off the week so the next day we got up to go trail riding and a job came in and this job was in Goblin Valley we were way closer to Goblin Valley than Eric was so we decided to go do this job so we didn't do any wheeling in Moab that day but we did some awesome Wheeling on this Trail where we had to rescue this guy so look for that video coming up soon and then that night it snowed we didn't know how that was going to affect the trail ride but it only snowed on exactly half of Moab so we picked a trail on the sunny side so I called my buddies at bleep and Jeep I called my buddies at BSF recovery I called my buddies at go off-road and of course Rory George's Chris and Robbie who brought the giveaway Jeep and we were gonna go on this ride the only influencers that were missing was Paul and Michelle from fabrats and they were busy with a BFG trail ride at the time we're not able to make it Paul wasn't able to come with us today so what I did once I wore my fab rat shirt just so that we could have a little piece of of them with us today foreign so for me this trail ride was all about relaxing with my friends enjoying the day and giving other people the opportunity to do some Wheeling So Jamie mostly drove the banana TomTom and Lizzy was sharing the driving duties of the more there and we brought Tucker along with his Toyota 4Runner to see if it was even possible you see this there's no way no way Tucker's making it down that you could do that all right we're going if we roll We Roll how'd that feel buddy that is so steep a little birdie told me that Tucker was about to change his mind and he was gonna drive around and wait for us at the top so I ran all the way up the hill to help change his mind spot you down there in that spot where you drop easily any sugar the power of Milestar you get it I just ran up the seal to make sure you were gonna go down it ah so Lizzy this is a really iconic obstacle do you want to drive it kind of okay come this way just a little boy I wish you had Rock sliders you're good okay slightly driver come on down my way just a little Highway okay that's right now oh my gosh again if you want to get in with her get in with her I'll film yeah yep I'd love to ride it belt belt up so Lizzy is gonna do Hell's Gate this is a really iconic obstacle at Moab on the hell's Revenge Trail this will be a feather in her cap okay just head on down there you don't need a spotter anymore so at that point all three more Vehicles were down on the bottom ready to finish Hell's Gate obstacle so we got out of order at the bottom of the obstacle for all the reasons there was lots of stuff going on between Tucker's insecurities on our Relentless peer pressure we needed Rory to get Tucker up the hill if he gets on his roof then I'll pass it over to you okay okay he's coming this way I'm passing this job over to Rory what do you thinking I don't know foreign foreign a rig that I built made it up that so Tucker went up this obstacle with no lockers no experience and no self-confidence it was amazing now Lizzie was a little bit nervous to do this this is a really big obstacle it's not that it's super hard but you can make mistakes it can get you in a lot of trouble but it is a very intimidating obstacle to drive up foreign how was that Lizzy oh taking my sweat disappear but it's okay I was just holding the four-wheel drive in that was my job she did amazing the more bear went right out of there kudos to Lizzy and TomTom gotta thank your co-pilot whenever possible so now it's time for the banana to go up Hell's Gate Jamie was at the wheel she drove like a champ just straight up that obstacle how's that Jamie it was good kind of scary so after the rest of our team all made it up out of Hell's Gate we decided it was time to head over to the escalator and see what could happen there by the time that I made it to the escalator my friend George's was already in the bowl up there and ate already scraped the top of his Jeep but Matt from leaping jeep was up there he threw him a freedom winch line got him winched out of there after George had made it to the top I decided it was my turn to give in to peer pressure and drive the banana up the escalator where are you pointing driver how's that Matt it was awesome so as soon as I made it up to the top Rory decided to show us who really owns this obstacle and he drove Trail Mater backwards up the escalator after that we talked Robbie into taking the giveaway Jeep up the escalator this is a really tricky obstacle about the time you feel like you're done with it that's when it grabs you throws you into the wall and scrapes all your paint off but with the help of spotting from Rory and a little bit of ballast eventually Robbie was able to make it up through and all this without his lockers on because none of us knew how to engage them like I said it was a great day of Wheeling we did really miss Paul and the fabric crew but we were able to catch up with him later in the week so the next day we got up and we went to the top of the world with Barnes four-wheel drive all right it is another day in Moab we're here on a trail ride with Barnes four-wheel drive got Connor and Brad here we're going to the top of the world I've never been there but I think it's going to be an amazing race beautiful day it snowed yesterday so this is a really long and rough trail if you've never done it I would highly recommend just for the views at the end and there's a great photo op while you're up there all right we made it back we made it to the top of the world we looked over the edge and then we drove all the way back down a big thanks to Brad Connor for putting this trail ride on and everybody that came look at all this thanks for coming okay so you can fire up your computer and you can go to Barnes four-wheel drive you can buy all kinds of parts for your projects we're we've got barns parts and every single thing that we've had and we've had them in there for years so you can enter more at checkout for a 10 discount on everything you're purchasing and you can get working on your rigs it's not that hard get a welder bolt some parts on see you tomorrow so finally on the last day we were able to catch up with Paul and the Fabrics crew we decided to go back out on Hell's revenge and let our kids get a little bit of seat time before we left so Easter Jeep Safari was amazing if you haven't been I highly recommend you go there's lots of places that have rentals there's also tours if you're not up to Wheeling and drive through these yourself you can get in one of those tour vehicles and have The Living Daylights scared out of you which I recommend so now it was time for us to leave Eastern Jeep Safari it was a Bittersweet moment because what was next the hurricane Easter car show and that's something I will not miss it's right here in Hurricane I have been going to it since I was a little boy I've met a lot of friends there we hang out it's just a good time this year was extra special and I was super excited because we were working with the Hurricane Valley Chamber of Commerce to raise money for an all abilities part so thanks to your support we were able to raise over twenty two thousand dollars for this badly needed all abilities Park we're just really grateful for the opportunity to work with the Rotary Club when we found out that they had this project for the all abilities Park they were trying to raise money for we wanted in we felt like like it would be something that could the community could really benefit from glad that we could do our small part and then the fans that support us they just came out and donated their money and just really appreciate this opportunity it's been amazing so with the help of our fans we were able to raise 22 500. today thank all of you that this is just been great thank you thank you so much for all of your support and thanks for watching what you looking at over here Lizzyso we just got back from the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab we had an amazing time caught up
