**Bathroom Makeover: A Step-by-Step Journey with Becky and Rochelle**

**Introduction to the Project**

In this video, Becky, the creative force behind Lawfives, welcomes viewers back to her studio. She introduces Rochelle, a new host who will be joining Becky and Rachel in sharing DIY projects and tutorials. The video kicks off with an exciting announcement: they are tackling a secret second bathroom, which has been untouched for years.

**The Space Before Makeover**

Becky reveals that the bathroom is shared with other tenants, explaining why it hasn’t received attention until now. She expresses her desire to bring some color into the space, as she prefers bold decor over stark white interiors. Rochelle shares similar sentiments, noting that the space feels neglected and in need of a refresh.

**Brainstorming and Material Collection**

Becky and Rochelle head to the storage room to gather materials for their zero-dollar budget project. They find an abundance of paint, wood, and other DIY supplies. Becky mentions her love for wood, while Rochelle suggests using wallpaper and painting the walls. They decide on a green color scheme, inspired by Color Spark’s clay mask green paint.

**Planning the Makeover**

The duo plans to paint the walls, create an accent floor with stripes, add a mirror frame, and install coat hooks. Becky mentions her excitement for the challenge, while Rochelle shares ideas about using acrylic rods for a custom toilet paper holder.

**Painting Process**

Becky starts by removing fixtures and preparing the space. They opt for Color Spark’s clay mask green paint, which is mold and mildew resistant. After prepping, they apply the paint, ensuring it dries thoroughly before moving on to flooring.

**Floor Design and Wallpaper Application**

Rochelle takes charge of the floor design, using wood strips in a striped pattern. She applies sealant to protect the edges from bleeding during staining. Meanwhile, Becky begins wallpapering the lower half of the walls, choosing a coordinating green color.

**DIY Projects: Mirror Frame and Toilet Paper Holder**

Becky constructs a custom mirror frame using cardboard templates and scrap wood. She carves out an oval shape with precision tools. Rochelle, inspired by online designs, creates a toilet paper holder from acrylic rods, bending them into a hexagon shape and securing them with concrete.

**Final Touches and Accessories**

The team adds coat hooks by routing keyholes into scrap wood. They also craft a wooden trash can to match the bathroom’s decor. To add a touch of art, they frame thrift store prints using acrylic sheets, creating a floating effect for added style.

**Completion and Reflections**

After days of hard work, the bathroom is transformed. Becky and Rochelle are thrilled with the results, particularly the striped floors and vibrant wallpaper. They reflect on how the space now feels fresh and inviting, a stark contrast to its neglected state before.

**Conclusion**

The video wraps up with the team sharing their excitement about the completed project. They express pride in using only existing materials and achieving a stunning result. Becky thanks viewers for tuning in and invites them to explore more DIY adventures on their channel.

This article captures the essence of Becky and Rochelle’s creativity, showcasing their teamwork and innovative use of resources to breathe new life into a forgotten space.

work on here in the studio so I'll leaveyou to that good luck and I can't wait tosee it all right so today we are tacklinga super secret second bathroom did you knowwe had a second bathroom we actually sharethat bathroom with the other tenants of thisbuilding yep that's why it's been entirelyuntouched until today we also have so manyextra DIY supplies paint samples buildingmaterials that I think this will be a reallygood challenge to try and use only the thingswe already have in our storage room okay Ithink we should just get started with a littletour of the space backyard that wayokay bathroom it has been a minute since I'vebeen in here I think I've maybe used thisbathroom like twice in the entire time thatwe've been here like I said this is a sharedspace whereas the bathroom you've seen beforein our own office is a private space for justus that's why we tend to favor that one overthis one I'm hoping that we can change thattoday though what do you think about the colorI am not a white girl myself that's a weirdthing to say but I don't typically decoratewith a lot of white I'm starting to a littlebit but historically I have been like a boldcolor kind of gal I would definitely loveto get some color in this bathroom what doyou think about the floor I think it needsa good sand at the very least I don't knowif I want to keep the wood oh like becausewe want to give it a makeover I just likewhat can we change how much can we changelike could we paint it also although yes weare subscribing to this lovely challenge ofusing only what we have and typically there'sspecific flooring paint which I don't thinkwe have a whole lot of fair what we do havethough is wood stainand then I mean I don't know what to tellyou but the guy is using this space or usingdish soap or hand soap maybe as well as alsoyour classic like my mom had this in the 90s100 I don't know what to say choices evermade definitely feel like the spacecould use our help Becky something I justnoticed what that thing on the wall yeah itopens no so you already know I took a peekno there's bugs in hereew what what the heck I told this like theoutside world oh my gosh miniature oh my goshokay Kelsey's getting a project after thisvideo is donewe can talk have my people call your peoplelet's go take take a look-see at our inventorysince we're trying to do this makeover witha zero dollar budget I actually think thebest place to start would be looking at ouroptions in the storage room okay I feel likeyou organize this room the most I do I actuallyquite like spending time in here so I havea pretty good idea where a lot of things arewe do have a lot of paint and that's goingto give like a major transformation yes rightoh my goodness we have pain we have paintso that's no problem what cool stuff do wehave do we have like wallpaper do we havewallpaper so I was back here the other dayand it's one of those things where you kindof don't like notice until you are thinkingabout it oh I mean I don't know what you guyswere using this for but there is in fact tworolls I don't know about this palm print Ifeel like it's a little five years ago andI would love to do something elseof course we got wood that's my favorite thinghere we got this cart full of wood and actuallyquite a bit of Bendy plywood here which Ithink we could make something really coolout of Rachel's Chandelier the Emma Chamberlainone we had a couple of extra acrylic rodsI kind of had a thought but okay Rochellewould it be weird to just put a picture ofmyself up in the bathroom absolutely not everybodyin the other units here would love it I'msure whose bathroom is it it's minethe concrete from you know that table that'sin the front the one that Rachel made yeahyeah so we do have some of the sand and thecement mix left from that so if you wantedto take on a concrete project you might beable to what's that thing that everyone allthe influencers have in their bathroom TheSquatty Potty a Squatty Potty molded SquattyPotty girlI love it honestly I love it so the ideasare flowing some of them better than othersbut I do know we've got lots of wood lotsof paint colors lots of DIY supplies we canwe can make something happen here okay wehave options we just need to know what wewant to do let's brainstorm all righttaking what materials we found in the storageroom and combining that with the needs ofthis bathroom Becky and I are going to sitdown and formulate a plan so we know we 100want to paint the walls in here and to dothat we will be using Color spark paint colorspark is a premium paint line that was recentlylaunched by Rust-Oleum Canada the line hasa selection of 13 pre-tinted paints whichwere all chosen by designers since they'repre-tinted you don't have to stress abouthaving the colors mixed or trying to do amatch with their room visualizer tool we wereable to test out how different colors wouldlook in the bathroom before committing toa color so along with painting thewalls some of our other ideas include a funaccent floor and maybe a DIY frame for themirror one thing this bathroom is also missingis some coat hooks to hang like a jacket ora bag on and those soap bottles we have todo something about those soap bottlesokay so it's the next day and we're preppingthe paint starting by removing this awfultoilet paper holder holy that's excessivefor the paint we've decided to gowith clay mask green by color spark this isthe perfect selection for this project becausethe paint has a mold and mildew resistantcoating which is perfect for bathrooms wherethere's a lot of moistureoh happy with you guys seafoam that's thecolor I was trying to think of earlier likeit's like this Bluey green gray color butthere's a word for it I mean you might sayit's clay mask green mmm you could indeedbut you could also maybe call it seafoam butit is nice I think yeah those dark colorswould have been quite dark overwhelming yeahwe did a dark bathroom it's been done timefor something fresh also the paint has amazingdurability with enhanced stain resistanceand blocking and it's highly scrubbable ahuge Plus for a space that gets frequent usecolorspark is now available in retail storessuch as Walmart and online all rightso the paint has fully dried and it is lookingso good so I'm ready to start prepping thesefloors for a fun accent starting with sandingwhile Rochelle is working on the floors I'mtaking some time to figure out what our nextmove is and like how we can make this bathroomas cool as possibleohwait do you want me to not look because Iwon't forget but I'll keep it a secret ifyou want me to give it a good I want to revealI never get revealed so I want to reveal butI also want ours to be a reveal too what isthat what is this wallpaper don't ask questionsI'm surprised it's gonna look good it betterI don't really know what's going on here Ihaven't approved any of the designs I don'teven know what they're thinking but I thinkI trust that camera shophey how's it going oh hey okay um I had somethoughts oh I love that okay so I know wepulled this out earlier yeah and maybe I wasn'tsold but I've been thinking about it okaybecause we just have so much of it I knowI don't know we were gonna just do this wallthe same color but we'll have to be more excitingbecause we can like I know everybody doestop half wallpaper accents but what do youthink about bottom half wallpaper accent Itried to suggest this wallpaper earlier I'mglad she's coming around to it but now we'regonna put it on the bottom half of the wallI'm gonna have to trust her vision on thisone look how well these colors work this likeBluey Green in there is clay mask and thenI was thinking you know you kind of need somethingto kind of explain where the wallpaper stopsyeah so we do have lots of scrap pieces heredo we have enough to do some hair right herein there only because you can't really dothis on the brick that's funny yeah I rememberthese this is the tongue off of Rachel's tongueand groove wood that she used on that actuallyhas videos yeah so we cut this off of everypiece of tongue and groove that she usedoh waitoh wait are you kidding me I never would haveknown or I found more more ideas you weresaying we need more hooks in here I was thinkingso yes I agree some sort of bar with thosehooks on it that's an ideabecause like that's the thing that's a thoughtthat is a thought yes you have thought ofthat I think I like the clear better thoughthan the copper do you want my my actual thoughtI always want your actual thought RochelleI have this idea that I sort of got my heartset on with the acrylic but I was just thinkingsince we pulled that toilet paper holder downyes I saw these really cool uh like sweetfloor floor standing that's toilet paper holdersonline and one was like kind of made out ofacrylic I am liking where this plant is goingand I cannot wait to see what Rochelle doesI feel like you have a vision and I don'twant to stop that so we should go ahead withthat I will not use the acrylic let me goahead with the wallpaper I think I think that'sa definite that's definite and then we'llsee how it's looking from there in preparationfor the wallpapering we're gonna have to goahead and get that top half of the wall paintedin the matching green Becky's outtoday so I'm going to show you how we're goingto be doing the accent floorthe goal is a striped pattern that we're goingto achieve by using a darker stain color thatwe already have and combining that with thenatural bare wood of the floor to do thisI've cut a couple of pieces of wood to usea spacers to keep my stripes even we're goingfor a six inch wide stripe and I'm going tomark this out using painters tape foreignnext I'm going to use a clear sealer to completelycover every stripe that I'll eventually stainespecially the edges where it's taped thiswill help stop the stain we're adding laterfrom bleeding throughonce the sealant is dry it's time to add thestain to every other stripethank youthe floors are looking stunning Rochelle'sgoing to do a final top quote of a clear sealantand then we can get to wallpaperingso I typically wallpaper before that's theend of the statement you can't you can't reallygo wrong all right I guess more is more inthis case dip and brush that's rightmy first attempt at wallpaper paste not badI think I'd do it again so now that the wallpaperis up we are adding that trim which turnsout wasn't actually trim but that's on usingevery last bit of materialyeah nice it's good right that's freakingawesome Becky thanks Rochelle couple smallerDIYs I know you want to make something forhere I do I want to do something about thatbecause that's gotta look cuter pretty basicso I can work on that you work on your projectand that's today okay I'm excited yay foreignso here is how I'm going to make a frame forthis mirror I've already cut out a piece ofcardboard that will be a template for thepart of the mirror that we'll be showing thenI'm taking those measurements and seeing whatscrap wood we have to build the frame unfortunatelythere wasn't one single piece big enough forthis so I'm puzzling it together with somesmaller pieces of scrap wood I'm gluing allthese scrap pieces together and then securingthem with some tiny mending plates that wehad in the drawer and then I'm tracing thisshape onto the frame I'm using a drill tostart a hole big enough for my jigsaw bladeand I'm using the jigsaw to cut out the ovalah wow it's something thank you somuch okay so now we need a new toilet paperholder I saw this one online and I'm totallyinspired now I know we've got some leftoveracrylic rods from Rachel's Chandelier videothat I could totally put to use for this projectso I started off by cutting out a hexagontemplate to trace onto a scrap piece of woodfrom the wood card I also measured the sizeof a toilet paper roll to know where to placethe bends and measured how high I wanted tomake the final piece using the heat gun Iwas able to heat up the rod for a few minutesand when it was soft enough I bent it intothe exact shape I wanted I'm using that hexagonshape that I drew on the wood as the basefor this then I'm going to use the routerto carve out a space underneath to fill withconcrete which will hopefully make this sturdieronce it's all assembled and I'm outside inthe backyard because this is a really messyjob now that the space underneath has beenrouted out I'm going to use the miter sawto actually cut out the hexagon shape I canalso use the miter saw to cut the acrylicRod to length I drilled a hole the exact sizeof the acrylic rod for a nice snug fit andthen I used some scrap wood on a table tosupport the piece upside down and level Iadded some hot glue around the rod mixed upsome concrete and poured it inokay my project is finishedI think Rochelle is done with hers so let'sgo see how they look in the bathroom anytimeI can make something into a reveal I'm likeso here for it um okay I want to see it ohmy gosh wait it looks like something thatCV2 sells like right now right it's definitelylike a little amalgamation of a couple differentones I saw but lucite wait hold on hold onoh shut up it's so freaking cute and wellhold on let me show you what I madeeverything and you made that out of thosescrap pieces of wood yeah no way one two threefour and wait I have to tell you somethingso I think Ann mentioned this she was likeyou know what this bathroom's reminding meof it reminds me of like the exact oppositeof the other bathroom yeah right okay I'mlike yeah okay I get that the light wallpaperthe lighter colors and then I realized youknow the mirrors they are oval but like butthe opposite I swear I did not plan this atall but I think this just means the Home Makeoveris shaping up well and meant to be a partof our space I think that's good for todaythough yeah yes okayall right it's the last day there'sa few final things left to figure out startingwith the wall hook situation so I'm takinginspiration from the hooks that we alreadyhave by the front door foreign from the storageroom and I think we can hang it on the wallby cutting a keyhole shape on the back ofeach hook because I had to use the routeron the angled part of the wood I created thisjig to hold the hook in place while I didthis it made the project so much easierI also whipped up this wooden trash can usingsome scrap Plywood And I steamed it a matchingdark color to the floor let me know if you'reinterested in a full tutorial on how I madeit this bathroom is missing a little bit ofArt and if I'm remembering correctly I thinkthere's a stash of some random art piecesin the storage room do we dare inthe bathrooma scandalous hippo moment this art stash wasactually bigger than I remember it being soI'm going to consult with Rochelle on ouroptions honestly this is from the thrift storeyears ago we found this book the portfoliobook of popper it's seven dollars 40 printsand I think what's cool about this is thatthey come out they're like made to be oh niceremovable so I would love to bring more colorinto the bathroom somehow yeah it's kind offun there's two dudes in the pool but I likethe colors yeah yeah the water's givinga bathroom I likewe are mapping out the potential placementfor this art so that I can get started diyinga frame you could call it a frame for thisart we're cutting down some extra acrylicwe had from our various clear board projectsI'm then taping the art to the back of theacrylic and then we're hanging it to the wallthrough two screws in the top oh yeah it'sso satisfying oh that's gorgeous how'd thatfeel oh so satisfying oh it looks goodyes okay that's cool that was the move thatwas totally the move right absolutely forour smaller art pieces I'm using some scrapfluid plexiglass and drilling a small holethrough Each corner through which I can puta nail I'm then attaching the art to the frontof the plastic with some double-sided tapethen it's just a matter of placing it on thewall and tapping in the nails I then pulledit off the wall a little bit like maybe halfan inch to give it this floating frame effectthat actually turned out so well right okaythat's the sickest thing that we've ever doneI'm sorry it just isthat's cool but no money I can't believe allthe projects are done let's get to those finaltouches that will really pull this face togetherthat is my first time calling out final touchesthat is so excitingohthey've been working on this for solong and now that it's finally done I getto see how it turned out I'm so excited ohI'm feeling excited for her to see it I thinkshe's gonna like it you do they do I thinkso too I think so my fear is I don't likeit I saw the wallpaper you guys were usingoh no I think it turned out well I don't thinkit's what you think it's a small space I thinkself-guided tour today let's goI'm definitely gonna like it I think she'sgonna fake she likes it at leasthello is anybody and the floorohI love that wait why am I most excited bythe rippled glass frames oh that's cute that'sso cute I love the little butts oh yeah niceCorner moment oh and that's the acrylic Ican I see everything oh in this color thiscolor's beautiful can we talk about the floorwow wow wow wow wow wow do it like this I'mso happy with how this final bathroom makeoverturned out and these statement floors they'refor sure my new favorite thing that we'veever done this room turned out better thanI could have ever imagined the color was perfectfor this and I can't believe we were ableto do all of that using only products thatwe already had and we even got the seal ofapproval from our landlord who stopped byto see itexploring picture someone's not going to wantto leave the bathroom I think he did a greatjob oh my gosh I love this color okayalso we're not leaving this candle in herethis candle is way too expensive this is amazingI love it thank you guys
