Book Haul Before Christmas: A Personal Collection of Recent Acquisitions
As I sit down to share with you my latest book haul, I must say that I'm excited to show off these recent additions to my personal library. Since it's just before Christmas, I thought it would be a great opportunity to share with you the books that I've been eyeing for some time now, and I hope this might inspire some of you to pick up similar titles.
The first book on my list is "Warm Bodies" by Isaac Marion. I had high hopes for this one when I first heard about it, and I was disappointed to find out that it wasn't available in time for Christmas delivery. Despite the delay, I couldn't resist adding it to my collection, and I'm eager to dive into its world of zombies and romance.
Speaking of zombies, I've also recently acquired "Alice and Zombie Land" by Gina Showalter. As a fan of the zombie genre, I was thrilled when I saw that this book had all the makings of a great read: action-packed plot, intriguing characters, and a healthy dose of suspense. The cover art alone caught my eye, with its unique design featuring Alice's emotions on full display.
Another book that has piqued my interest is "Colin Fischer" by Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stein. As a fan of the Sherlock Holmes series, I was immediately drawn to this Teenage Sherlock Holmes retelling. The cover art is stunning, with a plethora of emotions swirling across its surface. I'm excited to see how the author weaves together mystery and suspense in this thrilling tale.
I must admit that I've been a bit skeptical about "A.R.R.A.R." by Joe Schreiber at first, but after seeing a video review from Elzy Books (more on them later), I was won over. The idea of a mystery-adventure novel with a main character who reminds Jesse Eisenberg resonated deeply with me, and I'm eager to see how the author executes this promising premise.
The final book in my collection is "AR.R.A.R." itself, which I'll be discussing further below. Elzy Books has done an excellent job of selling me on this title, highlighting its unique blend of mystery and adventure. I'm excited to dive into this thrilling tale and see how it unfolds.
Now, I'd like to take a moment to talk about the wonderful world of book recommendations. If you're looking for new titles to add to your reading list, I highly recommend checking out Elzy Books' YouTube channel. Their video reviews are always informative and engaging, and they've been instrumental in helping me discover some amazing books.
In fact, it was through Elzy Books that I discovered "AR.R.A.R.", which had piqued my interest with its unique premise and intriguing main character. The author's enthusiasm for the book is infectious, and her ability to convey the excitement of reading this novel has left me eager to dive in. I'm thrilled to have been sold on this title by Elzy Books, and I hope that you'll give it a try as well.
In conclusion, I'm delighted to share with you my latest book haul, which includes "Warm Bodies", "Alice and Zombie Land", "Colin Fischer", "A.R.R.A.R.", and the book recommendations from Elzy Books. Whether you're a fellow bookworm or simply looking for some new titles to add to your reading list, I hope that this collection has inspired you to pick up something new and exciting. Happy reading!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey everyone today I'm giving you a book haul right before Christmas so you know if you like any of these books tell people that usually give you gifts to give you this book maybe this will inspire some good Christmas ideas it's really not related to Christmas at all the first book I have which you if you have watched my November wrap up and December to be read which be right here I mentioned I was going to read this in December and that is finale by Becca Fitzpatrick this is the fourth and last book in the hush hush Saga so you have Hush Hush Crescendo silence and finale I like the second book of this series other ones I did not like so much so I decided I need to finish this series and to get it over with because I don't know how this one's going to be and I'm not a huge huge fan of this so I'm hoping to like this maybe not you don't know the hush hush sh is about it's about a girl named Nora who realizes that she has a garden angel named patch and I don't think this is giving it away but of course they fall in love and drama ensues that is glitch by fellow Heather Heather Armstrong this is a kind of I think on a take of like sci-fi about her name is Zoe and I don't know too much about it know if she's like a robot or something but she starts to have feelings and stuff and her she has sort have glitches of teleconnect powers and that's not good so um have you guys read this have any heard any good things about this is happier at home by Gretchen Ruben this is kind of a self-help book if you will no I'm not crazy she this is actually kind of a sequel is to a book called The Happiness Project which I saw about 2 years ago I want to say at a Walmart and I was immediately drawn to the cover with its cute little bird in it it's a non-fiction book by the way Happiness Project was about things little things to make you happy things that you can do and stuff like that to help boost yourself up and it's not so much necessary for people that are depressed I would say at all I think it's just something that it's like a enjoy the little things kind of book I'd say this one focuses more on at homeing and all that kind of stuff and I love organizing cleaning and all that stuff so I and I love the Happiness Project so I decided to get this one I've read a little bit of it but of course it's getting neglected because of all my other books I'm currently reading but I do recommend for this for you guys it's not a you know if you're sad read it it's definitely a just a light happy book to make you you know appreciate things more I would say it was a couple days ago and I immediately I was going to get this book but I'm not going to lie the cover drewy in and I knew there was a movie coming out and I wanted to see that movie but then I was like oh it's a book and then the book's cover really sold it for me which is odd because I usually only like the original book cover never the movie covers but this one I like the movie cover and that is the Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick and I love the cover of this because I'm guessing the main character Pat he's all about football and stuff like that and in the middle you have have a whole bunch of like Strat like a what's that A playbook kind of thing for football I'm not that great at you know stuff like that this movie we have Jennifer Lawrence AKA Katniss everan and Bradley Cooper AKA atie so it is's about guy named Pat he believes his movie he believes his life is a movie produced by God and his god-given mission is to become physically fit and emotionally literate whereupon God will ensure a happy ending for him and his happy ending he thinks is his return of his arange wife Nikki has spent meth time in a mental facility getting help and he's out and he's surprised that no one's really talking about it and then he meets a girl named Tiffany and Tiffany is Jennifer Lawrence and she's kind of odd and eccentric have you any of you guys read this um I love this cover I don't know what the original looks like May I'll put a picture of it up but I think this cover is a very very cute cover and the next book I got I have been eyeing for a while and actually these next two books thank you to e Lizzy books she does um if you if you have not subscribed to her please go subscribe to her she's amazing e books is a part of this week in y news where every Tuesday she will release a a video called new release Tuesday letting you know which books come out and all about them and stuff and I had I had been eyeing one for a certain while and I wasn't too sure on it a new video release Tuesday came out and it was a sequel to this book and she sold it to me I was like I have to get it and that is arar I'm not French obviously AR RAR is that right crazy European chick by Joe shriber she said I think the one thing that sold me on it was she said the main character kind of reminds her of Jesse Eisenberg and I love Jesse Eisenberg like cutest weird guy love his voice ever so I was like I have to get this and she said a a mystery just a big adventure and I love books like that and I'm very excited to read it thank you el books for selling this to me I was so unsure about it but now I sure I will love next book that she talked about is Colin fiser by Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stein and this is kind of a Teenage Sherlock Holmes if you will he if you can see the cover which I'll show it to you it's a lot of emotions on it like weary nervous he reads emotions very well and the whole Pro plot of the story is a gun goes off in a school and he's quickly trying to figure out what's going on he's learning all that kind of stuff and I just excited to read it thank you elzy books for recommending these two cuz I got them and this cover is so cool I wish I had this book when I did my favorite covers because it would definitely be on it cuz I think it's so unique I love how his face is blinked out but it just has all the emotions all over it very very very cool cover Alice and Zombie Land by Gina Showalter if you don't know already which I'm sure all you do zombies is the new trend of course vampires are still hot and relevant but but zombies are kind of taken over if you haven't noticed I think what really started it all was The Walking Dead I think that kick started it of course zombies have been around for a while there's been plenty of movies but I believe that the Walking Dead really like jump started back up everyone has gotten into it and now it's just a huge thing and I decid jump on that train of course I've read zombie books before but I mean how cool is it Alice and Zombie Land I think it's going to be really cool I think this really book really needs no explanation it's basically about you know in Zombie Land there's also books similar to like this of Pride and Prejudice in Zombies Abraham Lincoln vampire Hunter those kind of things they remake books and make them into zombies and I'm sure when you're reading it you're like this could have really happened H last book which I don't have which was the whole reason why I made my Amazon purchase because I wanted it so bad is Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion I believe I don't have it in front of me I'll put a picture right here I was I thought was going to be immediately available to me cuz Amazon's very good about shipping and then I get an email it's like just you know this won't ship out till after Christmas what I don't know if it's because it's so popular right now but then again I haven't heard too much of it on the book Community or maybe it has been and I haven't seen it but I know there's a movie coming out and I saw the trailer and it looks amazing and it is about a a boy named R I believe who is a zombie and he is not like most zombies he actually has he can register what's going on he has feelings of course he's still like that uh kind of zombie thing but then he sees this girl Everything Changes he falls in love with this girl and it just looks so great wait to read it but I'm going have to wait till like January it seems to even get this disappointing are the books I got for you know this book haul are there is there any books you've got recently that you're just so excited about I know when I come home and I see a package and I know it's books I'm like fangirling I'm like all my books yay I will talk to you guys later I hope you have have a great rest of your week bye\n"
