The Day of Extraction: A Wild Goose Chase Up the Mountains

I was in the shop pulling a little maintenance on the yellow banana, and I got a call for an extraction. They're just off a frontage road near Leeds, so we're heading out there. We got anything and I'm here today still alive hot but we'll get the job done all right.

So that's gonna give us a rundown on that job well it was an easy ball and he's been a tire on it to you but he was stacking it out that's a pretty good overview I think I think we'll let that ride all right. So we are up here at kolob reservoir we're looking for a truck of unknown description we were set up here by the Washington County Sheriff to look for a vehicle that's high centered up here somewhere so we got GPS coordinates apparently they're able to get those and we are just gonna be heading up here on some dirt roads looking for us raining a little bit but it shouldn't be too messy we've got some company today we've got Randy he's a longtime friend and he was at the gas station when we were fueling up so he had a minute so he came along and then we got Ed yeah anyway it's gonna be a good day I can already tell that's a good Wow you didn't put them out they will catch up on the way down so I think these guys are up over that hill right there over that mountain top so we've got to drive up this cat into the dumper bye right so we're here on the top and we're gonna drop down into this other Valley down and I just hope that we can find them we're out of cell phone service now and my GPS quit look it's our going from every now so I hope we're on the right track here this is kind of a wild goose chase because we haven't been in contact with the customer so we're just gonna keep on driving and see what happens all right.

We've been through some sketchy situations we were getting closer to the dot that we're headed forward it's really beautiful up here the weather's nice there probably should've cut there you're pretty much stuck sorry I've not spotted nice Matt is a good driver it's impressive it real close to the pole of your roof since we're using the ATV access gates it's kind of a tight fit for the Jeep we gotta go hooks he just drove over all right we are on top of his TPS pin right now this took some doing to get here I am not seeing him we're trying to find this guy we've driven around the location I don't there's a possibility he's got out and gone but we haven't seen any sign of a truck being driven in on any of these roads so we've just got to keep looking me all right.

We finally found some tracks I just can't tell if they're going up or down how doesn't help that it rained on us but there they are for the first time we've hit some real tracks well we're gonna try to get out where we can make a phone call and talk to this back to the see if they have any other things for us because we have looped on about every road we get the fine up to this point yeah you might not made that one all right.

So finally found him and that was a lot of work we drove a lot of miles the wrong way the pin that that dispatch gave us was about five miles off and that's that's a long ways off when there's you know dozens if not four roads all over it we found him and they had I don't know if they gave up on us or had thought about it they decided they were gonna call a relative to come get them out so it first they refused service but the actual owner of the truck he's like no was like it was some of them his friends that refused service so he's like no let's get out let's get out right now we've been up here for several hours so we got him popped out of there and I'm glad Randy decided to show up put him in the truck how was that it was a little bit on the edge there get out as soon as I knew is going to be releasing pressure that it was a little like wait a minute I don't have my safety net anymore cuz it was right on their edge another foot or so and they would anyway that's uh that's how we did it today what do you got to say it can you catch it
