Virtual Reality - What’s Next

**The Future of Virtual Reality: A Showcased Experience**

The latest iteration of virtual reality technology is a truly immersive experience, one that was on full display at the recent VRLA (Virtual Reality Live America) event. The stunning visuals and accompanying audio created an unforgettable experience for all who attended. As you watched this video turn your head to the left and right, you'll notice that the audio shifts accordingly, simulating the sense of depth that is so crucial to creating a truly immersive environment.

**VR Audio: A Game-Changer**

One of the biggest names in sound was on hand to showcase VR audio - none other than Dolby. The company's goal was to bring their acclaimed "Atmos" technology to the virtual reality world, allowing users to experience the same level of depth and immersion as they would in a traditional movie theater. The demo was impressive, with the use of custom drivers designed specifically for VR applications delivering an unparalleled audio experience.

**Skullcandy's Crusher VR Headphones**

Another major player in the world of VR audio was Skullcandy, who unveiled their new Crusher VR headphones. These sleek and stylish headsets were designed entirely with virtual reality in mind, featuring custom drivers that deliver haptic feedback - the intensity of which can be controlled through capacitive touch pads on the side of the ear cup. The headphones are also equipped with 29 hours of rechargeable battery life, making them perfect for extended VR sessions.

**Wireless Freedom**

Skullcandy's Crusher VR headphones take it to the next level by being completely wireless, a feature that is sure to appeal to those looking for the ultimate in convenience and freedom. When they eventually come to market, expect these bad boys to retail for around $300 - a price point that should make them accessible to a wider audience.

**VR Rave: A True Showstopper**

One of the most impressive aspects of VRLA was the world's first-ever VR rave. DJ'd by none other than a renowned electronic music artist, the performance took place in a specially designed virtual reality environment. The twist? Instead of just waving their hands or pressing play on a playlist, the DJ was able to manipulate the music and visuals in real-time using virtual reality controls.

**Min Ride's AirFlow Flight Simulator**

But the highlight of the show had to be Min Ride's AirFlow flight simulator. For those who have ever dreamed of soaring through the skies like Superman, this experience was the ultimate thrill ride. Suspended mid-air, users were treated to a 360-degree view of breathtaking scenery - complete with mountains and even a dramatic storm system.

**HP and Radian's 360° Projector Dome**

Another standout exhibit was HP and Radian's 360° projector dome. For those who enjoy immersive experiences like watching a movie or playing a video game, this setup provided the ultimate level of engagement. Suspended in mid-air on a beam bag, viewers were treated to a stunning 360-degree visual feast - complete with a short film by renowned artist Android Jones.

**VR Arcade: The Future of Wireless VR**

But what really caught our attention was VR arcade's wireless VR system, designed specifically for use in arcades and family entertainment centers. The demo featured an old west-style game where users could shoot bad guys as they popped up - all without the need for any wires or cables.

**The Future of Virtual Reality: A Final Thought**

As I left VRLA and returned to my real life, I couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment that I wasn't able to strap on a headset and experience it all firsthand. But with companies like Dolby, Skullcandy, and VR arcade pushing the boundaries of what's possible, it seems clear that virtual reality is here to stay - at least for now. So, are you a fan of VR? Do you think it has the potential to become a staple in our daily lives? Let us know in the comments!
