The Best Smartphone You Won't Buy

The Camera System of the Latest Smartphone Device

As I examined the camera system of this latest smartphone device, I was impressed by its capabilities and features. The fingerprint sensor is quick and convenient, requiring only a glance to unlock the phone. However, I opted for using the fingerprint instead of optical face unlock, as it's faster and more secure. When I tried to wake up the phone from a table, I was surprised by how quickly it responded.

The camera system is one of the standout features of this device, with consistently high scores in DxO mark. It's clear that the camera team has put in a lot of effort to make this device a real player in the market. The video capabilities are particularly impressive, with super slow-motion available and a variety of cameras to choose from, including lenses on the back. I took my first photo at 1x zoom and was impressed by the level of detail and processing.

The wide-angle camera is one of my favorites, offering a field of view that's perfect for capturing landscapes or group shots. The contrast on the white area looks nice, and the image retains plenty of detail even when cropped in. I also took a photo at 3x zoom, which showed great results, with the fibers visible under close inspection. The camera app also features tracking my face, allowing for smooth selfies, as well as HDR capabilities that enhance the overall image.

However, one major drawback of this device is the lack of Google Play services. This means that users who rely on these services will have to find alternative solutions, such as Huawei's own app gallery. While it may not be a complete substitute for Google Play services, it's clear that Huawei was hesitant to launch this device elsewhere due to its limitations.

The hardware of this device is also notable, with a mono speaker at the top and no speaker union on the upper part of the phone. The screen delivers good audio for phone calls, but I had difficulty getting two speakers to work together seamlessly. Despite these issues, the phone still delivers a great mobile YouTube experience, although with limited options for configuration.

In terms of performance, the camera system is one of the standout features of this device. As someone who enjoys taking photos, I was happy to find that I could simply point and shoot with this device, thanks to its excellent performance. DxO mark may not be entirely off the mark when it comes to this particular device, considering its impressive camera capabilities.

The release of this device in China without a clear launch plan for other regions is also worth noting. Huawei's hesitation to launch this device elsewhere due to its Google Play services limitations means that it will likely only appeal to those who enjoy tinkering with their devices or don't mind importing them from China.
