to note right from the beginning this is a sponsored review so take that for what it's worth but as always I'm going to give you my honest review of how these actually work so if you remember at all the last time that I showed off these the X real glasses they were formerly the unreal glasses the xreel glasses was using them with my iPhone it was incredible I still use them to this day to play games watch movies all that just connected to my iPhone it's a really neat augmented reality-like experience but now things are a whole lot cooler because you can use them with your Mac both your Apple silicon or your Intel Mac now before we get into all of those details let's give a quick refresher on the hardware of the X real glasses these are the x-rio glasses they are super lightweight approximately about 79 grams they're super adjustable with multiple of these nose cushions in the Box the arms even are adjustable they go up and down to multiple degrees to perfectly fit your ears and there's even a light shield on the outside to block out any externals if you really want to focus on the movie that you're watching you can pick up prescription lenses to go here on the inside and when using these you can protect a display up to 201 virtual inches when you are viewing at a distance of 6 meters these are freaking cool so the hardware hasn't changed these are the same glasses I've been using with my iPhone and now we're going to use them with my Mac so to use them with my Mac we're going to plug it in over that USBC cable then I'm going to go ahead and open up the new nebula app for Mac which again works on both Apple silicon and Intel based Max so here I've got my 15 inch MacBook Pro running the new nebula app the first thing you want to do is after you connected it is you want to start your AR desktop this app gives you three different options you can choose just to see one extended desktop you can have two or you can have three now unlike before where we'll just show you the image in front of you and it would move with your eyes I would move and the image my desktop whatever would kind of move in front of me it wasn't the best experience for trying to work on a Mac because everything would move as you moved your head but now they have this kind of spatial Computing version that locks the point of view so I'll connect it on my Mac start at the AR experience I'll put up two monitors right there in front of me I am looking at them now and as I move my head my screens stay in place if my screens are right here and I move my head my screens aren't moving they are perfectly situated right in front of me like this I can move my head I can look at what I'm looking at and they stay where they are just like they are with apple Vision Pro it's super cool it's such a better experience I can read things I can write things I can check my email social media all the stuff that I would normally do I can do through these new x-ray glasses I even was able to edit videos using Final Cut just right there in front me felt very natural use my laptop keyboard I could look forward natural angle I can even look down if I want to at my Mac I can still see my Mac screen and my virtual screens all at the same time it's fantastic they were able to do this just with a software update now as I said to be totally honest with you guys sometimes there is a little bit of jitteriness but this is still in beta and the fact that we're this far along which is a software update to these existing glasses absolutely blows my mind now that's not all these things can do if you really want to get fancy you can watch 3D videos with the extra glasses that's right all you need is an actual 3D video so wherever you want to find that there's some on YouTube I have a few clips that I already had but I even watched this clip of Despicable Me that X real sent over and it's such a cool experience to see this 3D video playing in front of you you need like the left and right separator on the different sides of the screen enable 3D and boom they overlay one to each eye and you have this super immersive 3D experience I watched a roller coaster on this it was awesome the extra glasses are available now you don't have to wait for Apple Vision Pro Apple Vision Pro is also priced out of the market for a lot of users out there these are so much more affordable you can try them now and you can try them for a whole lot less money go ahead and give them a shot there's a link for these Down Below in the description and I want to hear your thoughts let me know Down
