The Gilmore Girls Book Tag!!

**Reagan’s Gilmore Girls-Inspired Book Tag: A Journey Through Books and Characters**

In this exciting video, Reagan shares her love for *Gilmore Girls* and books through a fun-filled book tag inspired by the beloved TV show. If you’re not familiar with the concept, it involves answering questions related to characters from *Gilmore Girls*, each paired with a book or character that holds significance in Reagan’s life. Let’s dive into the video and explore her thoughts on books, humor, and more.

---

### **Laura: A Character with Wit and Sass**

The first question is for Laura, where Reagan is asked to name a character known for their witty or sarcastic sense of humor. Without hesitation, she chooses **Meg from The Trials of Apollo series**. Despite being young and having faced numerous challenges in life, Meg’s ability to deliver the best comebacks, especially when bringing Apollo down to earth, truly impresses Reagan. She describes Meg as her favorite character in the series, highlighting her hilarious personality and how she interacts with others. Reagan even jokes that if Laura herself (from *Gilmore Girls*) were to read about Meg, she’d be thoroughly pleased.

### **Rory: A Favorite Classic**

Next up is Rory’s question, where Reagan has to name her favorite classic. She humorously decides to avoid mentioning *Jane Austen* since it’s a regular topic for her. Instead, she opts for **“Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead,”** an absurdist play that she adores. Known for its witty take on the narrative of *Hamlet*, this play flips the story to focus on Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, friends of Hamlet who visit from out of town. Reagan finds it hilarious and thought-provoking, with some of her favorite lines featured in the play. Though she hasn’t had the chance to see it performed on stage yet, she hopes that changes soon.

### **Luke: A Secret Book Love**

For Luke’s question, Reagan is tasked with naming a book she secretly loves but fears admitting publicly. She admits this was a tough one since her YouTube channel allows her to openly discuss her favorite books without hesitation. However, there’s one problematic yet entertaining book that keeps drawing her back: **“The Bronze Horseman” by Paula Simons**. Despite its trope-filled and character-heavy narrative, Reagan can’t help but revisit it, even though she acknowledges its flaws.

---

### **Lane: A Musical Character**

Lane’s question involves naming a musical character. Reagan selects **Kavo from “Name of the Wind,”** a character who is essentially a rockstar in his world. Known for serenading crowds and earning medals for his music, Kavo’s genius adds an intriguing layer to his magical abilities. Reagan finds this combination fascinating, highlighting how it enriches his role as a musical prodigy.

---

### **Dean: First Book Love**

When it comes to Dean’s question—naming her first book love—Reagan looks back to her younger self. She shares that she loved **Edward Cullen from *Twilight*** and **Jace from *The Mortal Instruments series*** as her first crushes in books. While she now finds them “ridiculous,” at the time, they were undeniably her favorite book loves, capturing her heart with their respective charms.

---

### **Suki: A Book She Devoured**

For Suki’s question, Reagan picks **“Poison Study” by Maria V. Snider** as the most recent book she devoured in just four hours. This fantasy novel follows Elena, a former convict granted clemency if she becomes the King’s food taster—a dangerous job due to poison exposure. Alongside her duties, Elena discovers magical abilities, making the story a gripping and unique read for Reagan.

---

### **Jess: A Book Everyone Hates (or Underappreciated)**

Jess’s question asks for a book that everyone hates but she loves. While she hesitates to use the word “hate,” she mentions **Marcus Sedwick’s *Revolver* and *Midwinter Bloods*** as books she adores but aren’t widely loved. Though these YA novels have low ratings on platforms like GoodReads, Reagan finds them mesmerizing, dark, twisted, and uniquely captivating—traits that set them apart from typical YA fare.

---

### **Miss Patty: A Book Ruined by Hype**

For Miss Patty’s question, Reagan reflects on a book ruined by excessive hype. She admits her disappointment with **“Red Queen,”** which was hyped as the next *X-Men* in fantasy. While it wasn’t bad, she felt it lacked originality and ended up being just another conventional story. Her enthusiasm for something fresh and groundbreaking went unmet.

---

### **Paris: An Uptight Character (Reimagined)**

Lastly, Paris’s question involves naming an “uptight” character. Reagan rephrases the term to reflect someone who is intensely driven—someone who stops at nothing to achieve their goals. Her choice is **Manon from *Throne of Glass***, known for her intensity and willingness to go to extreme lengths to get what she wants. Despite Manon’s lethal tendencies, Reagan respects her determination and finds inspiration in her relentless pursuit of success.

laurelai read this book and read about Meg she would be very pleased with Meg next question is Rory and you were supposed to name your favorite classic so I'm going to avoid saying jire because I feel like I regularly talk about Jay nire and I'm going to go with one of my lesser talked about favorite Classics and that is Rosen CR and Gilden Stern are dead this is actually a play it's an absurdest play and it's absolutely hilarious if you're familiar with Hamlet even a little bit I think you would enjoy this story it really takes takes the narrative Hamlet turns it on its head and tells the story from the perspective of Rosen CR and Gilden Stern Hamilton's two friends that kind of visit from out of town this story is absurd it's hilarious and it really makes you think it has some of my favorite lines of all time without fail it's an incredibly awesome story I've yet to see it on stage which I'm really bummed about but hopefully that'll be rectified soon it's a great book and it's short because it's a play so like it's a quick and easy thing to read through question is Luke which is supposed to be a book that you secretly love but are afraid to admit I honestly struggled with this question for so long I think it's because I have a YouTube channel I'm not really afraid to talk about books I love I think perhaps there's one book that I recognize that it's not the best book it's very problematic in a lot of ways but I still really enjoy it you know like that moral conundrums like a tennis court I'm like but it's so fun I'm like but it's problematic but it's fun but it's problematic and that's probably going to be the bronze horsman by Paulina Simons this book has a lot of Trope issues it has a lot of character issues but my God I keep going back to it but it really has a lot of issues so just know that before you go into this please next question is Lane and this is to name a musical character I have to go with kavo from the Name of the Wind the guy is like a loot God like he is like the best at playing in his world basically like people give him medals people become quiet as he serenades crowds the guy's a musical genius which I feel like really adds an interesting layer to a magical genius as well next question is Dean and this is supposed to name your first book love I'm going way back with this and it has to be either I have to go with Edward Cullen because like hello I loved Edward Cullen when I was like 11 years old but thought I also love Jace from the Mortal Instrument series because holy moly he was just seemed like such a dream boat guys are probably tired of be talking about this but I loved it it was a great why fantasy novel following her main character y Elena who is basically given clemency from prison if she becomes the King's food taster which is a very dangerous job because poisons she also discovers that she has some magical abilities this book is great I really really loved it a lot so question is Jess a book that you love that everyone hates and I feel like hate is too strong of a word again for this particular I author but I'm a huge fan of Marcus sedwick's novels revolver and midwinter Bloods are some of my favorite books that I've read just generally in the Y genre but for whatever reason good reads does not tend to love Marcus sedwick's books as much as I do they tend to have a very low rating like in the low threes but I think his books are mesmerizing Dark Twisted and very interesting and unique and maybe that's why cuz it's not a normal ya book but I love his stories a lot specifically midwinter blood I mean that book won the prince award it's really really good so the next question is Miss Patty a book that was ruined by all the hype and for this I'm going to go with red queen I reading it and I was like this is kind of like a lot of what I've already read which was very disappointing for me which just kind of a conventional story it's not I'm not saying it was bad by any means but it wasn't necessarily something new and I was very disappointed when I realized it wasn't X-Men in fantasy like it kind of is but like it wasn't up is Emily Gilmore my second favorite is Paris name an uptight character now I'm going to kind of rephrase this question a bit because Paris is like my favorite person on the show I just think she's amazing and I don't like the word uptight instead I'm going to say like intensely driven someone who is so intensely driven that it's like almost life or death for them Paris is a successful woman and she will stop at nothing to get what she feels like she deserves or wants in her life and honestly I found that to be a little inspiring so for this I went with Manon from Throne of Glass Manon is intense you know what I mean like she eats people sometimes but you know I I feel like she's really going for what she wants though and and she'll stop at nothing to get it and I respect that and I like man as a character a lot she's currently my favorite character within the Throne of Glass universe and I feel like you know her and Paris would probably get along I feel like Mana would ultimately like Kill Paris cuz she would annoy her but I think they would have a grudging respect for each other you know what I mean guys that is the Gilmore Girls book tag I hope you enjoyed I personally love Gilmore Girls and I was
