600bhp RX car driven _ Rallycross special _ Autocar

When it comes to loose surface racing, rally cross is on a roll. The racing is close, it is exciting, and it is Mega fast. This is Len Hill circuit in Kent which will host two rounds of the British rally cross championship and Britain's only round of the world rally cross Championship.

It has competed in the world rally cross championship this car is the Citron C4. This year it is going to be competing in the British rally cross Championship with a guy called Nathan at the wheel. It has been driven in the past by Pat Duran who you will have heard of if you know anything at all about rally cross because he is phenomenal.

His son Leo now runs a team so he's running this car and they have been foolish enough to let me have it Go thinking e it is fast that is not very much throttle at all brakes are good lovely feel through the brake pedal nice and responsive steering actually with B some bit of weight to it it's quite easy to drive it is not that intimidating yet right so this is on to the loose for the first time ah he's just got so much potential oomph.

I think this car steering weights up nicely loads of Tor so they say 600 horsepower R to eight but develops it way below that it's got 900lb foot between flipping Hell's Bells between four and six which means it generates an astonishing amount of speed. Jesus Christ that is fast wowers right that's second gear let's try Full Throttle second gear shall we wow wow wow wow this is Bumpy this is Len Hill we're R in a Range Rover Sport but this rise the bumps phenomenally that is astonishing.

I have no idea how you do this this is incredible what a suspension setup oh you can feel it move around they reckon 50/50 weight distribution with a very slight rearward bias in the power setup limed slip diffs front and rear that is so fast that is so fast it generates an astonishing amount of grip on on what is loose and this time isn't exactly clean Silverstone stuff either bloody Hells how do you race like that.

The car just go past cuz he's testing and he's quicker than me cuz it's what he does for a living but all of a sudden the wind screen is just full of dust and you can't see a damn thing and that is a man telling me to bring it in Lime me O'Reilly. I tell you what these machines are massively exciting certainly to drop live and I know to watch as well cuz you'll have seen it on the Telly or you'll have seen it on YouTube for more rallycross action but with drivers who know what they're doing and have all the skills.
