BMW E60 M5 Review!- The Epic V10 Hero

M5 it's one of the coolest m5s BMW ever made because of one big reason it had a really badass V10 in it made over 500 horsepower and a tons of torque and the cool thing is you have two power settings in the car factory feels like when you go around to turn like a little alien from out space is hugging you it's like the weirdest thing in the world and I know you can't really see it but the side bolst strings are moving as I'm turning the wheel and that's something from the E60 I had no idea existed so I learned something new today with the two power levels you are normally in 400 horsepower but if you hit a button down here you are in 500 horsepower right now the one time and like who knows how long it's raining in California so I'm going to be very careful right now and if it dries up I'll get on it a little bit bit more the E60 M5 has a lot going for it it's one awesome awesome cruising car it can go up to really high speeds if you take off limiters you can go over 200 M hour it can rev to the sky to 8250 RPM stock but this one with the tune can go to 8500 RPM which is ridiculous the E60 as well has a beautiful interior this one in particular has like the like brown or like cinnamon interior essentially it's close to that anyway from the E46 and the steering wheel feels great the SMG transmission feels great it's actually very hard to find these in stick shift this is also another car that you know with a warranty would be one of those badass dealies ever but will the owner said don't daily drive this thing in case something goes wrong because if something goes wrong it's going to be very expensive motor itself range is from $9 to $12,000 if something goes wrong so yeah just be careful with that this car got a lot of Internet Fame too because when you straight pipe these things they basically sound like an Italian exotic in a way it sounds almost like a Lamborghini and that was a big appeal is this super comfortable M5 that sounded like a badass I mean it's ridiculous in tons of people will tell you if you do a really long road trips or you do Road rallies everybody said what car would you take almost everyone would say the M5 because it's big enough to hold a ton of people adult-sized people and and it's just comfortable and it's fast it's fast enough it's fantastic it also has a heads up display which is pretty cool and I'm seeing exactly what's going on and has the you know tachometer and everything built into it handles bumps really well too as I go around steering wheel feels good the paddle shifters feel really solid they don't feel cheap but oh my goodness has a very linear Power Band it's very very predictable overall when you're in the at least the 400 horsepower setting another thing too about the BMW M5 is you might have a pretty wicked performance car but it Blends in with everybody we just passed somebody who just got pulled over and I was like oh I better worry about it I was like wait no I shouldn't who cares they don't care it's a black BMW to an untrained eye that's all it is the seats literally just make me laugh cuz I just feel like I'm getting like the greatest German hug in the world I have to push it through a little bit sometimes if you let off the gas it kind of wants to under steer a little bit not too much though oh yeah even 400 horsepower feels good brakes are also solid this is a pretty big car and it has some weight to it especially with all the weight in the front nose but the body roll is pretty limited all right it is so dark and gloomy what is happening of course the one time I come to Califor California guys it rains we go to flor course the one time I come to California guys it rains we go to Florida to film last year coldest winter in 50 years go to California it rains during a drought good job David all right I'm in the 500 horsepower setting now so okay oh yeah paddel shifter doofus I forgot I forgot I was in man mode oh no I had fun in first gear that's that's one thing to say but yeah first gear pulled really solid you instantly could tell that there was more horsepower the 400 almost feels like a lion trying to get out of its cage oh yeah is awesome it's really balanced for how big it is I'm actually pretty impressed it's going to barely get in it and it goes right around all right try again traction control was hating me it was like please please stop this I don't like this but yeah shifted right in went into Power I think was pretty sweet gave you a little jolt I think that was mostly the traction control yeah so the SMG has rumors that when you first get the car it's very jerky cuz it's a single clutch transmission but when you do the tune evens everything out it still is a little jerky but nowhere near what the stock form was but it makes it a more enjoyable experience I think roads are still a little wet so I'm being a little careful here we go open up let's go brake downshift all right that's awesome I can totally see why people fell in love with this thing when it first came out cuz I I've never driven a BMW like this I'm more used to the traditional inline 6 and even the e92 V8 that's pretty rare but the V10 man I could see why so many people were so bummed when they got rid of it because it has so much character in you know in a BMW which now you drive a 4 Series you're just like I'm bored it's funny cuz the engineering of BMW overall has gotten better but it's just not as exciting all right guys I want to thank you all for watching this quick little review of this V10 M5 I had a fantastic time driving it
