but yesterday was rough spent all day on the plane getting LZ Invitational launch which is now officially live ticket link is in the description we're giving away three engines 2J with a Garrett terrible Arctic medical dashworks injectors EC Master ECU Sr with the same bits and RV with the same bits Sim what are you going for I kind of want to go for third place that SL looks nice I thought it'd be cool to do some engines we'll talk more about the Invitational later but I'm just like it's such a massive relief usually we end up launching it so last minute that to have it up a month before the event is wild starting off our day of the Family Mart this is Colette's first ever time in Japan yep and I already found the Japanese hot fries wizard what are they do you see well they're not that hot but they're like similar to hot fries but better Colette is in heaven and family all the candy all the colorful branded things we're heading to the track I haven't seen my car in three years until I got a car it's a very very exciting day we're not in the fanciest of all rentals we're in uh what is it a veil fire van so this is the first trip where I actually bought a car prior to coming over that was I was planning to drive it around while we're here however there's some issues when it came to getting the car shocking which is like their version of getting it registered and inspected so I'm hoping that I'll get to drive the car today or tomorrow so the van's just a temporary thing I'm curious to see if you guys will be a stoked on the car as uh as I am it's definitely not the normal for the healthy Fleet oh that was not a satisfying one I was expecting to go life is good them's leading Us in and Colette is enjoying her first stamina Mom that's so good pork bun would be the English way she's literally freaking out in the passenger seat because I just realized into this little bun looking thing best little bum looking thing I've ever had so I'm just realizing maybe I might do dead I'll just like hold the Japanese gas station food and we're here it's like going home for the first time in years got our day passes now we're heading up the hill if you guys are familiar with uh the circuit basically episode is a combination of multiple tracks all in one place and during the Mastery a lot of foreigners come into town and we all bash into each other with our missile cars so this is Colette's first time and I know a lot of you guys have commented in the past about the track that got pretty damaged by the earthquake it is now rebuilt and they actually made a bank course that I think we'll get to drive one day so that'll be new school course has been redone and then Menominee unfortunately is no longer in existence it's now a dirt rally course so no more drum drifts sadly but I'm thankful that I got to drive it before uh not coming back here it's been three years basically I drove fall Matt Surrey then the next spring Mastery I was into FD and I wasn't able to get over here because of a date conflict and then covet happened and everything was shut down and they finally opened their borders up and uh it's gonna be a great week can't wait to get some cafeteria around check out the plate on the car that I'm driving my lucky number I want to steal it we're going to meet up with her car's about to get dropped off oh look at this thing chilling here after three years all the Love tabs from before I'm gonna give you guys a full walk around but I gotta hop in and get a get going quick see if old girl fires up like nothing ever happened three years later baby we're ready to rip so for those of you guys that don't know this is my gzx 100 Cresta so this is not a Mark II this is not a chaser this is a Cresta it's got a little bit different front end front fenders and it's got this little snoop droop butt going on we'll do a little walk around see where we're starting now we got our starting point before it goes through a week of Carnage it's got a little bit of rust and mildew sitting around we've got the uh rear all loaded up with my spare wheels and random tires I'm stoked this car sat for a little bit without a window because it got smashed in one of the uh the other trips but nothing's really too moldy it's got a little bit of mildew but my seats look great my harnesses look great going around the front got some fading on the gram lights that's a thing with these neon ones I love the patina of uh just like the mildew and stuff from it sitting apparently that's really bad to touch so I might wash it even though I'd love to leave it I gotta have monster truck height just because these stock fenders will hit everything I might take a grinder to them this trip so I can lower it make it look a little bit better but the cool thing is now I've learned so much about these cars having one in the states that uh I have a really good Baseline for setup so I can have this car feeling perfect and just like my car at home just based off a couple little measurements and things that I know so I brought some toe plates I brought some measuring tape and stuff so if I decide to get adventures with it and I just go out and rip right away which is usually what happens I could spend some time and get her looking right love what's going on in the rear with all this trunks loaded up with some wheels too let's take a look under the hood and see what we got last trip here I blew the turbo on the last day so the boys over at power vehicles got a stock replacement turbo in I don't want to go Big Turbo because I like having the same power setup as everyone else I didn't want to go turn the power up and then not be able to drive with everyone because my car's too fast so she's still got a stock John in there uh just stock one jvti it's a little gold bits some vertex Parts a little weld cover definitely looks like it's seen better days put a new filter on there the boy's got the oil change so that's looking good she's got some water in it brand new battery brand new alternator pretty much ready to rip but I'm gonna spend some time today it'll mostly be kind of get my car sorted for the week get some tires mounted and I really want to help Colette so you can get comfortable quick she's got to learn right hand drive she's got a new car that we're gonna need to set up so most of today's probably gonna be spent with that let me just kind of getting stuff dialed in on this thing but it's good to be back and I'm stoked to be with old girl believe it or not this was my second ever drift car that I owned I had the 240 and then I got this before I even got anything else and this is the car that kind of changed my mentality from what was becoming to be an overbuilt 240 into just loving the simple sea time cars and just getting maximum smiles and dollars per lap came back from my first trip with this and that's when I got my Z which I think is probably the car that I've learned the most driftwise in all right yeah would yeah it might not shut great got my trunk stocked up with parts these uh advans I don't know how they've lasted as long as they have easiest wheels in the world to mount tires to so stoked about that I have this box in the trunk that's a fun surprise you guys are gonna have to see Colette's video for the full scoop but she just shut the whole place down with girlfriend but uh I've lost my usdm girlfriend in Japan it's all right you have your Australian boyfriend my Australia my Australian JDM imposter friend is helping me purchase coffees in Japan trying JDM coffees in Japan a lot of good parts at upgrads usually they're all gone by the time we get here but we're pretty early compared to a lot of the other foreigners so maybe there might be some good pickings like uh right in front no good Wheels but we got a nice DSR how much is it oh it's like that's like 700 U.S 750 bucks yeah I could probably sell this to some JDM restoration shop and make a quick Buck Rudnick needs one of these right now does he yeah he just blew his second one God damn it pull your 34 for recorder that's that's handy oh look at the works that's not bad how come there's no price oh they're not for sale um they're just for display of course metal S15 quarter panels This would be like the equivalent of like 150 US dollars not bad wait no you can't do a retake of that you're not allowed to take retakes God damn it Fender all the wheels at this place are always uh very high offset very small width so usually not that much good around so cool to look though I enjoy it put a 180sx center garnish I think that's like the equivalent of like that'd be like 30 bucks so that's pretty cheap if you're familiar with that garage it's basically like a chain performance parts store that stocks a lot of you stuff a little bit of new stuff mostly used stuff typically you can come here and you can trade your parts in and they'll give you cash for it and they actually give you a decent amount I trade in a used set of coilovers one time they give me like 800 because there are two ways that like retail for like two grand imagine just going to your local auto parts store and seeing an R34 Hood for like 100 bucks I still just think it's the funniest thing to see like a used stock clutch and a used s chassis diff on a part store shelf never seen this referral style C before it's very cool minus the bolsters it's like an Alcantara with like a blue Stitch I think like a speckled blue padding in the next door there's a place called yellow hat which would have like more of like just the new stuff that you'd buy in little trinkets I'm just like standing here the amount of noises and like stimulus visually around is the most overwhelming thing in the world but I love it you guys will see tomorrow but I'm actually picking out some seat covers because the car that I got a long time ago that we're going to be driving as a rental is getting dropped off tonight and it's got very nice seats in it that are a light color that's the the biggest hint you'll get and that's something that I haven't owned that is weird that I don't own and I probably said
