Audi TT 3.2 Breakdown and Review: A Drag Racing Experience with Rory Reid

The Audi TT 3.2 was put through a series of tests by Rory Reid, including drag racing and a brake test. The car was expected to have more power than its predecessor, but unfortunately, it fell short in this regard.

The first test involved dragging the car from 50mph to finish line, where it was able to maintain a relatively fast pace and stay ahead of the mark one 1.8 for most of the distance. However, upon closer inspection, it became clear that the 3.2's lack of power was due in part to its weight, with Rory Reid noting that the car was "heavier than expected".

In contrast, the Mark III TT and the RS6 were able to keep pace with the 1.8 for a considerable amount of time before losing ground.

Moving on to the break test, which involved pushing the car from 100mph to a stop as quickly as possible, it became apparent that this was not the 3.2's strong suit. The car took an eternity to come to a stop, with Rory Reid joking about having been "on me for three hours" in order to reach top speed.

In spite of its lackluster performance, Rory Reid expressed his admiration for the 3.2's sound and overall build quality, saying that it sounded "really impressive". He concluded by advising potential buyers to prioritize the car's sound over its acceleration if they're looking for a TT with good vibes but not necessarily blistering speed.

makes a 250 horsepower but the same 320 newton meters of torque as the Quattro sport next to me that drives all four wheels through this dual clutch six-speed automatic gearbox but that big engine means I am the heaviest here I weigh 1520 kilograms this time but it was about the same price when it was new it was about 30 000 pounds gonna be an interesting race between those two Generation One cars let me tell you about my car it's got a 2.5 liter turbocharged five cylinder it puts out 340 horsepower and 450 newton meters of torque and it drives all four wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox now this thing it weighs in at 1 450 kilos and when it was new it was 46 000 pounds finally let's come to the very last of the line Audi TTS this special iconic edition of the ttrs being driven by the lovely yanny Cheryl lambus Yummy Tell me about your car give me all the stats I know you've learned them yes sir of water you didn't even tell me to learn them or even search them it's an Audi ttrs it's got a BNR in the car and it looks like Nardo gray on the outside basically you're playing catchphrase say what you can see right boxes in it yanny uh uh six speed or is it a seven torque does it have this had 450. that's gonna have a little bit more 485 and I reckon it weighs around 1 two so he's got 480 newton meters of torque but your choice of weight they didn't manage to shave about 200 kilos off the car going from the mark two to the Mark III it's actually 1.4 I think seven five tons so 1475 kilograms and the price guess the price of that car bearing in mind this one well the Mark III ttrs iconic one it completed the standing quarter mile in 12.1 seconds the Mark II ttrs came second with a time of 12.7 seconds the Marquan Quattro sport took 15.5 seconds and the Mach 1 3.2 liter V6 came last it took 15.6 seconds to do the standing quarter mile now we have a rolling race from 30 miles an hour rolling off in second gear three two one go it's on Boost we out of here clear shift from the second to third ain't great in this gosh that 3.2 is just easily ahead of the 3.2 this time we Audi foreign did you have some serious turbo lag or were you just daydreaming when I said go the honest truth is I was a touch in front of you when you went go I didn't want to just pull away too quick so I thought I'll let you go and then I'll just accelerate got to 140 mile an hour when I crossed the line This is quick you know I was talking about my gear change and stuff like I'll show you in the rolling race my problem is in first or second so when I launched it first a second was good it's the second to third it's quite rubbery this gearbox and you don't want to get it wrong and money shift it because a friend of mine money shifted his car the other day Joe Achilles he's got like an M2 and he money shifted supposed to go into third one into first how lucky the gearbox it dropped to the floor this is why you need a dog leg you know what a dog leg is and you know why they have a dog leg is it for that very reason that you just said we're going between second and third second and third it's really important on the track and it's a dog leg the thing the line on the rolling races as well the initial pickup was better than yanny maybe that's his reaction he's just losing his touch my reaction is key I'm disappointed with your manual driving but
