machine whether it be for home work or you're going back to school you're gonna want to check out these awesome accessories for your new Mac before we get started be sure to subscribe and hit the bell to get notifications whenever we share a video a new MacBook can be an expensive investment and so you're gonna need to protect that investment at all costs of course you could put a skin on your macbook to prevent scratches and because they actually make your MacBook look really cool but for those who need a bit more protection against drops the in case textured hard shell might be a great case option for you I really like the exterior look and feel that in case calls woolen X and that the hard shell will not only help fight off scratches but drops as well the case comes in two pieces it's very form-fitting and it snaps on effortlessly there is proper ventilation for heat release so that your macbook won't get any hotter than it already does and it comes in two great colors forest green and this blue that I have here the case retails for $69 which is definitely on the pricey side but it's a really quality case and it comes in a few different sizes for the 12 inch macbook 13 inch and 15 inch MacBook Pros as well as the 13 inch retina macbook air charging your macbook via USB c is one of my favorite parts about Apple removing its proprietary charging restrictions it makes finding something to charge your laptop with that much more efficient and convenient so for example this Mophie power station XXL is a twenty thousand milliamp hour portable battery that will not only charge your phones tablets or any other devices via its two USB type a ports but you can also charge your Mac with the USB C port that has power delivery the 30 watt fast charger can charge your 12 inch macbook or 13 inch MacBook Air and if you're desperate it can charge your 13 or 15 inch macbook pro at a reduced speed the charger itself is about the size of an iPhone 10s max though it's obviously going to be much thicker and it weighs less than a pound so it's going to be very portable solution for your charging needs the unfortunate part about Mophie although conveniently sold directly from Apple can be unreasonably expensive at times and so I do recommend searching Amazon 2 for some cheaper alternatives speaking of accessories that are very portable and something that you should definitely travel with the Anker PowerPort 2 charger with power delivery is the perfect replacement for your Apple charging brick this powerful charger fits in the palm of your hand it has one USB C port with power delivery and one USB type a port to charge any other device if you're looking to charge your MacBook and your iPhone with only one charging brick at the same time this is one of the better options to do this this little guy limits the number of wall adapters that I need to bring with me in my bag and it's versatile enough to charge pretty much any device that you would want with its two ports this is the 49 point 5 watt version which can also charge all of the mac books that utilize USB C but if you have a MacBook Pro it will charge slower than these 61 watts or 87 watt charger that your machine comes with so that's something to keep in mind just in case we decide to pick this up regardless I like not having to carry around a massive charging brick for my macbook and another charging brick for my ipad or iphone in my bag at all times so I could just use this one power port 2 for both so I definitely recommend checking it out my last macbook specific and also travel themed accessory is the new o WC USB sea travel dock i believe we featured an earlier version of this product in a previous video but what this new version of this dock offers is an integrated USB C cable that actually tucks away underneath the dock so that your cable does not get in the way and it also minimizes the risk of any damage potentially happening to the integrated cable see I have sort of a love-hate relationship with integrated cables while it is convenient not having to worry about bringing an extra USBC cable in your bag or just carrying around any extra stuff at all times I do worry about damage to the cable and essentially shutting down that product and so hiding and stowing the cable away inside of the product is a fantastic idea for this travel dock the dock offers a USB type a port HDMI USB C and an SD card slot as well there's also an additional USB type a port on the other side I carry the first version of this project with me at all times and it gives my macbook pro more ports to choose from as well as an SD card for importing footage and so I really like that feature finally my last product is for your iMac and it's one of my favorite things on this list and that is the suteki monitor stand that not only lifts your iMac up but also a USB C hub as well the front of the stand has an SD and micro SD card slot which is great for importing footage and also a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack three USB type A ports and a USB C port all you have to do is put your iMac on top of the stand and then plug in the integrated USB C or use a USB C type-a adapter that comes with the product which for me personally I want to use over the USB C port because I feel like the transfer speeds and the overall use is pretty much the same when using the USB type a adapter the stand does come in two colors silver for your traditional IMAX as well as a Space Gray 4ui Mac Pro users I highly highly recommend this product I've been using it for months and
