The Unboxing and Review of the ASUS OPL Mini Plus Media Player
I'm Ranjit, and I have the pleasure of reviewing the ASUS OPL Mini Plus media player, a networked model that offers advanced features and connectivity options. The device is equipped with Wi-Fi and gigabit LAN ports, allowing for seamless streaming and playback of various multimedia content. Additionally, it supports GTS Dolby Digital audio and has direct streaming features, making it an ideal choice for entertainment enthusiasts.
As I take a closer look at the device, I notice that it's a demo unit sent to me by OIS, and its price tag is around 8,000 INR in India. Before we proceed with the review, let's take a glance at the remote control and the packaging contents. The remote is surprisingly large compared to the device itself, but it looks like a full-size remote control.
Now, let's open the box and take a look at what's inside. We have the unit itself, of course, along with some AV cables, a power brick, adapters, a disc, and a quick start manual. It's worth noting that if you purchase a new unit, it will come packed in a more compact package.
As I examine the device further, I notice that it has glossy plastic construction and features an Asus logo on the front. The rear of the device has a power adapter slot, gigabit LAN port, eSATA port, and a reset pin switch. There's also a USB port and a card reader, which can be used to attach thumb drives or portable hard drives for storage and playback purposes.
The startup guide provides an overview of how to set up the device, which is surprisingly easy. You simply need to connect it to your television using an HDMI cable and configure the DLNA settings using Wi-Fi. I'll be testing this media player for the next week or so, exploring its capabilities with various video formats and providing you with an in-depth review of my experience.
As I conclude this unboxing process, I want to emphasize that the ASUS OPL Mini Plus is a compact device that packs a punch when it comes to features and performance. Its affordability, connectivity options, and multimedia capabilities make it an attractive option for entertainment enthusiasts. Stay tuned for my detailed review, where I'll share my hands-on experience with this media player.
In conclusion, the ASUS OPL Mini Plus media player is a solid choice for those looking for a compact device that offers advanced features and connectivity options. Its affordability, sleek design, and impressive feature set make it an excellent option for entertainment enthusiasts. As I continue to test and review this device, I'll be sharing my thoughts on its performance, capabilities, and overall value.
