Protect your Computer Ports with Dust Plugs!

**Protecting Your Motherboard from Dust**

As a computer enthusiast, you understand the importance of keeping your machine clean and dust-free. Dust can accumulate inside your computer case, causing problems with your motherboard and other components. In this article, we'll explore a simple and effective solution to protect your motherboard ports from dust: small rubberized protectors.

**What are the Small Rubberized Protectors?**

These small plastic plugs come in a pack of around 50-60 pieces and are designed to fit into each port on your motherboard. They are specifically designed to block dust from entering your motherboard, preventing it from compacting and causing problems with your connections. The protectors are available for various ports, including VGA, DVI, SD, eSATA, LPT, USB, DP, and RCA.

**How to Use the Small Rubberized Protectors**

Using these small rubberized protectors is a straightforward process. First, you'll need to identify the ports on your motherboard that you're not using. For example, if you only have one memory slot available, you can use the DDR4 protector or DDR5 protector, depending on what type of RAM you're using. Simply slide the protector into each port, making sure it's securely in place.

**Protecting Your Motherboard Ports**

The small rubberized protectors are designed to fit snugly into each port, preventing dust from entering. They come with different sizes and shapes to fit various ports on your motherboard. For example, the SATA slots have a specific L-shaped protector that fits perfectly into the slot. By using these protectors, you can ensure that dust doesn't accumulate in every little crevice of your motherboard.

**Protecting Your Outside Connectors**

While dust filters can help reduce dust accumulation inside your computer case, they don't always cover all exposed ports on the outside. This is where the small rubberized protectors come in handy. By covering these exposed ports with the protectors, you can prevent dust from entering and causing problems with your connections.

**Real-World Application**

In reality, most of us don't use every single port on our motherboard, especially if we're only using one or two ports at a time. That's where the small rubberized protectors come in – they're a simple solution to protect your motherboard ports from dust. By applying these protectors to the exposed ports, you can ensure that your connections remain safe and dust-free.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, protecting your motherboard from dust is an essential step in maintaining the health and longevity of your computer. The small rubberized protectors are a simple and effective solution to block dust from entering your motherboard ports. By applying these protectors to your exposed ports, you can prevent dust accumulation and ensure that your connections remain safe and secure.

**Final Thoughts**

These small rubberized protectors may seem like a small step, but they're an essential part of maintaining your computer's cleanliness and overall health. As a computer enthusiast, it's always great to take an extra precaution when it comes to protecting our investments. By using these protectors, you can ensure that your connections remain safe and dust-free for years to come.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enso here's the situation got yourself a brand new computer a nice gaming setup a perfectly designed beautiful machine and you love it but there's one thing that you're forgetting dust not sure you might have dust protection or a dust filter built into the case of your computer but you also got to think about those outside connectors so what do you do there you go this simple and easiest and cheapest solution to take that extra step in protecting your motherboard and all the ports that are on it hey everyone this is Carl from technical goodies and today we are taking a look at these small little rubberized protectors to be able to put into each one of your motherboard ports to make sure that the dust that is rolling around inside your room doesn't get in to each one of your little tiny ports on your new computer so here I've got my little tester motherboard and so let me show you how these things work now in most cases you'll have some memory put into your memory slots you might have the other slots filled up but you might have some empty but on the outside you also have all these ports here that are just completely exposed if you're not using them so let's go ahead and take these protectors and see what we can do with them this little pack comes with probably about 50 to 60 little plastic plugs that goes into each one of these small little ports to stop dust from getting inside these small little crevices and the most important thing about this motherboard or any motherboard are the connections that are inside these plastic areas if dust gets in there it gets compacted and can cause all sorts of problems so let's see what comes in this package you'll have full size memory protectors you have small little protectors that go into the outside of the board medium-sized protectors uh more VGA DVI SD eSATA lpt USB mail DP RCA blah blah blah the list goes on so it's pretty ridiculous how many protectors you get in the small pack so let's go ahead and put them on let's start with the inside of the computer all right so let's say you're only using one of the memory slots on your motherboard go ahead and grab the ddr4 protector or ddr5 depending on what you're using and as you can see up close here that it basically has a little slot that matches up exactly with the slots so basically just start on one side and slide it in and now that Port is completely protected while this one might have memory in it let's go ahead to the PCI protector put it in on one side Jammy it into the slot and now you're protected there too you have your SATA slots that you're not using this one has a little L shape here lets you know that you can put it in there for protection and you can see now that each one of them has a little bit of protection that stops that dust from getting into every little crevice they have a small one for down here so you can see the list goes on and on each and every one of these different ports is completely protected and sealed so that no dust can get inside so let's talk about the real problem which is your outside connector so like I said you may have already set up your computer with a dust filter so that not as much dust gets on the inside but these are always exposed to the outside area and you're not using every single one of these ports so the ones that are wide open are literal dust collectors so first for the VGA port a little cap that goes on top if you're not using the HDMI connector protected USB protected another USB protected so there we go I've basically filled up the majority of the ports on the back here that could potentially be collecting dust and as you can see it's just that simple it's one small little step you can take to basically ensure that dust doesn't get in and affect any of your connections and when you spend so much on the computers like we do nowadays that small little extra step just protects your investment for years to come so what did you think pretty cool huh let me know down in the comments if this is something you're gonna do with your machine to protect it and also I'm trying to make all these videos pretty quick and to the point so if it helped you in any way click on that subscribe button and I'll tell you what I'm enjoying doing this I hope you're enjoying the videos and this is Carl from technical goodies and I'm outso
