I set up an app for every job already on your Mac, hey it's Kris and if you're an Apple watch owner you're probably dying for Apple to allow for third-party watch faces that feature hasn't arrived yet unfortunately but in the meantime I want to talk to you about a few different apps one that is brand new that can help you get hundreds of new watch faces on your Apple watch I mean get excited but don't get super excited got a temper your expectations because these are more like wallpapers rather than actual custom watch faces with new complications and functionality it's just a fresh coat of paint basically but still that's very cool if you're looking to freshen things up this is the way to go also before we get any further I do want to let you know I've linked up some really cool Apple watch accessories down in the description so check those out I've got a video on them coming out soon but you can still check him out early in the meantime

The first app I want to talk about today is called watch Mize and it comes from our dude Callum do you guys remember him he made that tutorial on how to create a super unique Apple watch face like a month ago or something like that he has turned that technique into a brand new app it's super basic which makes it nice and easy to use essentially you can just pick an icon pick a color and set it as your watch face now at launch there's a few different icon packs that you can choose from there's a starter pack which is free which is nice and there's also a gaming pack a cartoon pack a tech pack and a food pack food pack means that my mag canoopsy is gonna be able to get an avocado on his wrist finally there's also a pretty cool border pack which is exactly what it sounds like I might be kind of biased but personally I think this is a pretty cool idea and it looks like Colin's gonna be adding some extra functionality in the future I like it only cost two dollars to unlock everything in the app so if you're into minimalism at all I think this is a must download

Next up we have an app called mr. time and this is an app that has a huge collection of really interesting and unique Apple watch faces many of them although not all are actually animated which adds a whole different element to your Apple watch I really like the interface and the way this app is set up so you can search for watch faces by color by tags like sports or text or minimal and you can even follow specific designers there's really a lot to explore in this app there's interesting categories like pixel art collages sketches holographic and the list goes on basically is another similar app that basically works in the exact same way but just has different designs now they claim to have the largest collection of Apple watch wallpapers which is pretty misleading but that doesn't mean there's not some cool stuff inside within this app there's several free wallpapers and they didn't have some pretty cool design qualities things like waveforms or 80s designs some Star Wars characters camo and various colorful patterns many of the designs let you customize the color and you can also see what they look like with a certain Apple watch band or certain colored Apple watch band which is also a nice touch there's actually a handful of premium watch faces but only like six which is kind of weird so I'm not sure the developer kind of abandon this app but retro Apple fans could really like the Newton Apple watch face which is only $0.99 there's a Game Boy premium face and there's an r2d2 premium face which is pretty cool

Now there are two other apps in the App Store that claim to let you customize your Apple watch with new watch faces that don't actually work the first is facer which I think has been around for quite a while and I couldn't even get the app to load the second one is called watch maker which is totally bizarre because it's like somebody created a watch faces out for like samsung watches the round watches and tried to also shoehorn those designs to work with the rectangular Apple watch interface it doesn't work it doesn't look good it's kind of a joke that it's even in the App Store so I would stay away from that there's a pretty hefty price once you get in the app for like six dollars don't pay it stick with the first three apps that I recommend it if you know of any others please comment down below let me know do not forget you can follow me on instagram and twitter i'm at daily tag spelled daily tek k in both places and i'll catch you in the next video later
