Ranking My Favorite Wireless Headphones: A Review of the Top Five Options

If you're reading this on an Android phone, specifically one that's not a Galaxy device, such as a Vivo or Xiaomi, you might want to check out the Sonos. I'm still going with my top five favorite wireless headphones, and I'll let you know which ones made it to the top spot.

Number One: The B&O Beoplay H95

The B&O H95 is still number one on my list, hands down. Its Supreme build quality and lamb skin air cups make it a standout in the market. These earbuds are truly something special, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. If you're looking for a premium wireless headphone experience, look no further than the B&O H95.

throw the link up in the description the price on these 450 bucks let's get right into it first things first shout out to White Shoes back in the building I love my I love my I love my shoes calm down she looks pretty calm already all right so let's go through the specs real quick now these come in two different colors you got black and soft white now these are Bluetooth version 5.4 and the Codex is SBC AAC aptx lossless and apx adaptive now these feature multipoint connection that means you comp paare two devices at the same time now you got 40 mm Dynamic drivers these feature spatial audio and dynamic head tracking you got active noise cancellation and transparency mode the battery life is 30 hours on a sing charge now that's what active noise cancellation turned on 30 hours now you also got quick charge so 3 minutes of charge will give you three hours worth of playback now these feature weird detection that means when you're playing your music and you take the headphones off the music will automatically pause when you put them back on your music will resume now you got eight mics four on each side that's going to give you crystal clear phone calls you got physical touch controls and there's an app that's available for Android and iOS to let you customize your EQ settings now the weight of these is 30 uh actually 312 G all right so all of that for 450 bucks let's unbox it and see what it is now at the end of this video I'm going to answer three important questions number one are these really worth 450 bucks number two how do these rank versus the airpod max that's the ones everybody been asking me about and number three how would I rank these versus my top five overthe a headphones with active noise cancellation all right so here we go Sonos Ace now I went with the black color package feels like it's made out of recycled materials okay I'm all for the environment you know how I do okay let's see Sonos voice control now there's a few features that's not available at launch so I'm not really going to talk about those too much okay here we go Sonos Ace inside now this is going to be your carrying case let's go and check this out now the case itself has this kind of wool kind of feel to it feels good what's that velvet okay has a little case let's check the rest of the Box this is going to be your usual books and pluck them in fum and let's see okay now this is going to be a charging cable USB type-c to USB type-c and you get a USB type-c the 3.5 real nice and this is going to be your product information okay and that's pretty much it for the box now let's take a look at the Sonos Ace carrying case hard shell if you got cats this is going to be a cat hair magnet I can tell that already let's see let's check the zippers okay hold up check the Zipp now yall know I like to say maximum Zipp but got caught once already but so far it seems like this material may get stuck in the zipper but hey it is what it is all right let's try that again yeah okay anyway inside these are going to be your headphones and you get a little pouch right here now this where I'm going to drop my cables in and it just sticks just like that now for the headphones like I said 312 G are the weight nice and lightweight got metal right here I like that and it's cold ice cold okay let's do the Easter Island head test okay so if you got a big ass head you're going to be good now these don't fold but the air cups do swivel not a full swivel but minimum swivel you want to put them back in the case like I said no folding so you're just going to have to drop them in just like this you actually going to have to close them back up drop them in the case all right so let's grab our phone pair these up and then we'll start our usual testing Talk Amongst yourselves all right y so we back in first first let's take a look at the actual headphones nice and lightweight soft headband the air cups pretty soft okay not the softness of the airpod max but still soft okay I'm not going to say titty soft but pretty soft pretty soft nice memory foam in there I like that again super stretch on these swivel airups now you got your buttons so this is going to be your power button okay USB typ-c charging slot and this also works for USB type-c play Black play play Black playback all right USB typc payback USB typc playback okay for lossless audio okay on this side this is going to be multi-functional button okay this is going to switch between active noise cancellation and transparency mode and this is going to be a Content button okay so you got volume up and down and you can press it for play answering end phone calls skipping reverse tracks and I activate your voice assistant now I like to see the physical touch buttons as opposed to the swipe gestures more convenient and more accurate little Sonos branding and that's pretty much it now for the pairing process real simple just download the Sonos app once you power up the headphones you're going to get the prompt and just follow the directions now of course just like any other set of headphones you get make sure you do your update all right so now let's take take a look at the Sonos app now you got all your profile information on the top you got some more settings so you can add a speaker or component you got a picture of your headphones the name of your headphones and your battery percentage now you also got your music playback controls if you click on this you can change the name you got your battery percentage right there this is your noise control okay so you got active noise cancellation Ambient sound mode also known as aware mode or you can turn it off now here's your EQ so you got base and balance you can also turn the loudness on and off for low volumes you got head tracking multi-point connection you can pair up two devices at the same time here's your Hardware controls okay for the button you got your wear detection turn that on and off about information and your education okay so the app is Simple and Clean all right so one quick side note now if you want to take advantage of the apx Codex you can't use an iPhone because they don't support it and you're going to have to use an Android phone that supports apx now for this video I'm going to be using a VI XF 3 and as you can see aptx adaptive is in use all right so now let's talk about the look The fit and the feel now one more thing I wanted to mention these air cups do pop off and if you notice inside there're two different colors so you know which one to put them back on but here's another little fun fact you can't put them on the wrong one you see the magnets won't let you do it so it didn't have to put the colors in it you'll know which one is which now when it comes to the actual softness of the airups I like them better than the Sony's I don't really like these too much but honestly airpod Max yall remember when I did the video I told y'all these feel like titties these are the best all right these are the softest most juicest airups but these are these are really good these are really soft though nice memory foam on these and again easy to take off and clean same thing with airpod Max you can pop these off and clean them too it is what it is now I'm going to drop these on my head okay inside you see you got right and left so you know which side to put them on and oh one more thing I want to mention as far as the build quality now personally I don't care how good these sound how good the noise cancellation is I hate these cheap plastic feeling headphones I just I just hate it and if you notice you see all the smudges these actually have an oleophobic coating on it so you notice no smudges and even though it's a lot of plastic on these and uh synthetic leather it still feels a lot heavier and more premium than the Sony's I like that now when I put them on my head very soft comfortable fit you could feel the noise cancellation is going to be top tier here's how they look now I would like the ear cups to have been a little bit bigger because I wear earrings and I can feel it a little bit but once I adjust it okay now I just adjusted it just now and my whole ear is completely engulfed in this okay now let's do a little sound test all right so I got a new song queued up we got Kendrick Lamar not like us now I pick this song on purpose because I don't know the words so I can't sing along I'm forced to listen to the music now I'm going to start off at maximum volume I got the EQ set to the stock settings and active noise cancellation turned off now one tap for play and pause on the content button let's rock and roll okay okay definitely nice and Loud mustard on the bee ho okay hold up okay now you can hear a lot of Separation in the music okay hold up let's take it over to the let's take it over to the EQ all right so we're going to need some more trouble on this let's see okay now that's how I like it all right let's try more Bas okay you can hear the bass moving up all right now this is how I like it I'm a base head okay all right let's go back let me listen okay let's try the let's try the I took them off my head okay you see they Pause by itself I'm going put them back on okay now the music didn't resume by itself okay so let's see I'm going to hit the button again all right okay now as far as the sound quality it sounds good it sounds good you tired and it's probably a minor freaky ass all right hold up that's my favorite part of the song we got to take it over to let's do blue laces too as of right now I'm going keep I'm going to keep it a buck let's do our nip okay I'm going give it a buck the sound quality is good I'm not blown out of my chair but let's try blue laces too okay here it didn't turn off it worked the first time but okay now it's not doing that okay now this is why y'all come to my channel cuz y'all want the honesty I got to give y'all the honesty honestly they sound good all right they sound good but do they sound like $450 headphones no they sound good though they sound good I would they they they sound like the Sony you know they sound like the bows I ain't head y can still hear it put him back on okay now all right let's try that again I'm getting a little popping sound let's go okay um okay I will say this I will say this y'all can hear this a lot of volume all they definitely get loud they definitely get loud okay now look let me explain something Y and I catch a lot of flack for this when I do my videos but hey this is just me this is just me in my opinion let me say it like this I know somebody's going to say oh I watched this person's Channel and they said this I watched that video and they said that there's no such thing as a professional review basically a review is somebody who buys a product and tells you the experience when you buy these you can be a professional reviewer too you buy these turn in your camera and tell people what you think my opinion on products I tend to have I tend to go for more bass because I listen to this kind of music like this that has a lot of bass I would say this the Bas on this is good but at maximum base I'm hearing a little popping sound I know somebody's going to say oh you got to give the headphones a chance to break in and all of that come on bro you know this is not my first pair of headphones I got a thousand one pair of headphones they shouldn't be popping like this right out of the box I that's already a red flag for me but I will say the sound quality is good I don't want to be too hard on these but the thing is these was hard on my pockets all this ain't a review unit I I I just paid 450 bucks on these I'm expecting to be blown away these ain't these ain't going to blow you away all they definitely not going to blow you away I'm going put them on one more time let's try um let's try a different genre all right let's see what I got let's see um what I got my okay we got uh okay this is a lot of I got a lot of oh you know what this is my this actually one of my songs right here uh the these dreams all right let's let's take it over to these dreams okay now let's go back to the EQ okay so I got loudness turned on I'll drop the base a Chad okay we'll turn on head tracking let's try the head trck in okay now I'm completely turning around away from the phone okay oh the head tracking is kind of cute okay the head tracking is kind of cute okay all right hold up now let me hit pause now for this kind of music I'm G keep it a buck for this kind of music oh these these actually sound really good on this song right here because separation all the the vocals from the music all right that's when when people say oh that these headphones have good separation separating the vocals from the music and they sound great and I will say this the head tracking as I'm I'm sitting in a chair right here that spins so as I'm spinning around in the chair it sounds like the music is still like right in front of my face and I like that I like that let me hit playing the music One More Time hold up all right here we go let's hit play on the music let's see do we got any lyrics Dre okay skinning and linen pume on my wrist the full moon that hangs over these dreams in the midst all right hold up you see now look I took off okay now look you see just now the head track the um the weird detection just worked I'mma put them back on okay so when you take them off you're going to have to press that button to play play the music all right let's try that one more time you see now I took them off and it's still playing now these are brand new headphones so maybe they could push an update to fix some of these bugs but right now I'm not getting that popping sound let me see okay I remember are the dreams in the M hold let me grab my mic y'all these dreams go on when I close my eyes every second of the night I live another life these dreams all right hold on all right look now took them off again still playing all right so a little bit buggy little bit buggy with that now this why I want toest a song like this this kind of music like this you know R&B music you know disco80s something that's not Super Bass heavy these sound terrific they sound terrific okay but and this is why I always talk about bass because it's pretty easy to get the highs and mids on headphones and speakers bass it's harder to get bass because that's the difference between a cheap Bluetooth speaker and a good one if you turn the bass all the way down in the app they both going to sound the same highs and mids but bass bass gets muddy okay bass can't be reproduced as good sometimes you get that popping sound bass is what separates quality from trash okay now I will say this 450 bucks I I just I just can't cosign them yet let me do a little bit more testing okay oh hold up what did I do it just started playing by itself okay look you see I put them on just now and it started playing by itself scared the out of me hold up I put them back on my head head okay now it's playing I'm going to take him off okay you know what I think I just figured it out I think when you put him back on your head you got to press press them on your ears let me try that again okay I put them on and press it on my ears okay no that wasn't it I thought I figured it out nothing all right anyway let's do a little bit more testing all right so let me try out the weird detection using an iPhone I'm going to hit playing the music I took him off the music is still playing put them back on nothing okay now now it did now it paused now put them back on okay nothing so this could be something that they have to fix with an update because as you can see for yourself I got the weird detection turned on we'll do that one more time okay I'm going to take these off I took them off still playing all right it is what it is now I know somebody's gon to ask does it sound better on the Android phone or the iPhone and it sounds pretty similar but it sounds a little bit better using the Android phone abtx all right so I just disconnected my Bluetooth reset the headphones paired everything back up now I've been doing some testing off camera and I haven't had that popping sound again so that might have just been a quick fluk maybe these are brand new maybe something was a little loose on the inside I don't know but now the popping sound is gone and they back to sounding great let's play some music you hear how loud these are though they definitely have a nice amount of volume and Clarity I like that I will say the base is there but it's just not the deepest and richest base that I've heard on headphones especially for 450 bucks all right so now let's try out the physical buttons now this is going to turn on active noise cancellation transparency mode and if you go to the app you can also set it to turn both of them off now this this is going to be volume up and down you got play and pause that'll also answer them phone calls and if you double press go to the next trap triple press go to the previous track and you can use the voice assistant so all of the controls actually work and I like the physical buttons all right so now let's do the reconnection test how long do these take to reconnect to your phone after you power them off so as you can see I'm connected to the Sonos Ace let's go ahead and power these off okay fully disconnected power them back on one Mississippi two Mississippi 3 Mississippi four Mississippi 5 Mississippi six Mississippi okay six Mississippi now that was a lot longer than a lot of the other headphones and earbuds that I do but hey it is what it is all right so now let's try multipoint connection I got an Android phone and an iPhone here's the Android phone okay here's the iPhone and there it is multipoint connection Works flawlessly all right so now let's check for latency and what I mean by that is when you're watching the video is there any delay from the person's lips to what you hear let's hit play now it could be some delay on YouTube but as you can see for yourself though no delay at all got to see the baby all right so this would be perfect for watching your videos all right so now let's test out active noise cancellation and transparency mode and in the side note there's another thing that I don't like about these watch this now I'm pressing the button on the headphones to cycle between active noise cancellation and transparency mode now I'm in transparency mode right now there's no voice prompt and if you notice it doesn't switch on the app you see right now it's off so I put on the wear mode so now I'm in transparency mode now I'm going to use the actual watch this I'm going to use the button from the headphones when I press it there's no voice prompt and it doesn't switch on the app I don't like that but nevertheless let's go ahead and try out all right so we're going to turn these off first okay now I just I just got a jump scare because I put the headphones on and then my music started playing so the wear detection is very gimmicky right now I would advise you to turn it off that was a major jump scare just now all right so right now I got everything off I'm going to put on the wear mode okay so now I'm in transparency mode the transparency mode in these sounds Supernatural oh let me see oh it actually sounds really good these sound really good now I got to test them versus my airpod Max because those have some of the Supreme uh transparency mode that you're going to find but these are right up there see I I always go like this can I hear the subtle sound of a nail on the table I hear everything but basically my voice doesn't have that robotic sound to it it sounds very natural okay so transparency mode on these top tier now let's take it over to active noise cancellation now the active noise cancellation these are guaranteed to be top tier because when I pressed the button just now it felt like all of the oxygen just rushed out of my head but of course we got the crying baby so we're going to do that test all right so here's what I'm going to do first I'm going to play the baby all right I'm going to play the baby with no with no active noise cancellation I'm going to turn I'm going to turn this matter of fact let's try a wear so here's the baby with a wear okay now this will be annoying let's turn on active noise cancellation okay now of course I still hear the baby but you can hear the difference that's letting you know that there is some change all right it is actually working so I got noise cancellation turned on now for this in the house test I'm gonna play this baby I'm gonna play my music at maximum volume if these are top tier noise cancelling headphones I'm not going to hear none of the baby at all I'm just going to hear my music and to make it a step further I'm actually going to turn on this fan okay got a little low fan right here here we go so I'm going to play the baby okay now this is getting on my nerves let's play some music okay okay all right hold up now I don't want to I don't want to kill y'all with the baby now I just okay I just took him off and the automatic weird detection did work just now let me turn this fan off these are definitely going to be top tier noise canceling headphones when I played my music just now I could feel my fan blowing on me but I couldn't hear none of it at all and the baby just disappeared disappeared now of course I got to take these outside I'm gonna walk around the corner go get white shoes some dinner and I'll come back and I'll let youall know how they sound in the real world but in the House Top tier active noise cancellation and top tier transparency mode all right now there's a few features that's not available at launch and one of them is being able to connect this to your sound bars now right now you can connect it to the Sonos Arc but if you got a Sonos beam or a Sonos Play Bar you can't do that just yet so I'm going to do an update to this video there's another few uh features that's coming soon too and I'll talk about those when I do the full update all right so I want to speed up the rest of this video so I'm just going to talk about the rest of my testing now he have Bluetooth version 5.4 so I did the range test I walked all the way to 30 ft no drop connection at all next I called Amaya on the phone we had a long conversation she gave these a 7.5 in terms of call Quality but I heard her perfectly fine she heard me perfectly fine no issues at all now let's talk about active noise cancellation y know I got three tiers okay we got trash tier okay tier and top tier and of of course we got the Covenant god tier Sony and Bows I'm going to say these are top tier but they're knocking on the door all right these could almost be god tier active noise cancellation these are right up there with the airpod max okay I would say these two on the same level then after that Sony and Bose but these they all they all topof the top tier noise cancellation but these also have the top tier Ambient sound mode right up there with the airpod max you can have a natural conversation without taking these off and you're not going to sound like a robot I like that now let me answer those couple of questions number one are these worth 450 bucks and I'm going to say no unless okay unless there's a big butt right here okay big butt these are not worth 450 bucks in my opinion but if you have a compatible Soundbar like the Sonos beam uh actually the Sonos Arc I think that's the one that's out right now that is comp ible the Sonos art if you're in a relationship with somebody now y know it's pride month all right so if you got a boyfriend girlfriend whatever you got but say y'all on two different schedules so you in the bed you wide awake they in the bed they ready to go to sleep being able to connect these with one button right to your Soundbar that's a nice feature okay that's a nice feature but how many people actually have the Sonos Arc right now personally like I said I got the play bar a lot of y'all using Bose and Sony and LG Soundbars so that feature ain't really going to appeal to yall just just in terms of sound quality alone sound quality build quality features is this worth 450 bucks I'm going to say no okay we seen a lot of headphones on the market that have nine band eqs Three band eqs Five band eqs way more features okay I will say the build quality is excellent lightweight it doesn't feel as cheap as the Sony's but definitely not as premium as the airpod max now somebody's going to say the airpod max a lot heavier and that's true and that's true can't nothing to say about that that's true so I would say these these should be right now I would be comfortable paying 300 bucks if these was 300 bucks I will be singing a whole different note right now okay because it all depends on the kind of music that you like if you like me and you like that hardcore music with a lot of bass you're going to be underwhelmed but if you like disco music R&B you know uh love songs all that you know classical music these have excellent highes and mids okay the separation is there and the head tracking mode the head tracking mode is a lot of fun but these should realistically be 300 bucks 450 bucks is a stretch when you're paying 450 bucks you're going to be expecting top-of-the-line build quality okay so I would say 300 bucks at Max maybe wait a while these are definitely going to be on sale next question how do I rank these versus my airpod Max now these are real airpod max these are just Paka covers that I put on them side note if you're going to get the airpod max don't get them in white these are like almost 4 years old they're going to get dirty so I actually got them in white and blue you know you don't be walking around looking like a Savage so if I'm going somewhere fancy I got nice clean ones on deck when it comes to which one do I like better I'm going to say honestly let me go ahead and get a little wipe down on that you know you know I'm going to say honestly I like the airpod max a little bit better now when it comes to the highs and mids I would give it to the Sonos okay I would give it to the Sonos if it was if I was just going to listen to badonna music all day long I would give it to the Sonos but at some point I'm going to want to throw on some future okay at some point I'm going to want to throw on some pot I like the airpod max better these have better base in my opinion okay better Bas but so overall sound quality if I had to pick one right now somebody said you got to take one of these off the table and head over to the airport I'm going with the airpod max now if you got an iPhone you definitely want to go with the airpod max over the Sonos but if you got an Android phone that supports aptx uh lossless or adaptive whatever you if you got a a new Android phone not a Galaxy okay you got to be a Vivo a xiaomi you know Snapdragon sound phone then you might want to check out the Sonos okay so I'm still going with the airpod max now how would I rank these versus my top five and did they even make it into my top five and the answer is no they didn't make it to my top five number one on my list still undefeated okay the bno h95 the Supreme build quality the lamb skin air cups come on these These are still number one in my book number two the fal bath these if you're going to spend some now these ain't these going you going to have to pay for these you're going to have to pay to play with these but you're going to you're going to like it now I know some of y'all have that what do you call that phobia with the circles I'm sorry I don't mean to trip y'all out but it is what it is I call it trip the phobia cuz y'all be tripping out on little all right but folk out B these that's number two number three on my list my favorites I love traveling with these cuz race car life the m in Dynamics MW 75s AMG Edition top tier noise cancellation sound quality the bass the bass be rumbling I will say number four on my list I'm going with the bows and wikins the px8 again if you see the theme here I'm into build quality all of these have look at look at the difference in the air cups I mean these right here these feel like titties all these are these are the titty air cups all right shout out to my girl and number five on my list these did not break it I'm still going with the airpod max Supreme active noise cancellation Supreme transparency mode the air cups now I can pop these off and clean them if I want to I'm just a lazy fat but um you can you can do that if you want you can do that if you want these are still number five then after that I would say number six you see now now we got a tossup so number six could be either one of these the Sony the Sonos the bows the sennheisers number six I'd probably go sennheisers or the techniques or these like after the top five is basically everything is number six everything else is number six so how would I rank these on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give these a major major go now if you're new to my channel two majors that's around a 7 to 7.5 I mean don't get me wrong I don't want to be too hard on these they sound great but for 450 bucks all online I'll throw the link up in the description the price on these 450 bucks let's get right into it first things first shout out to White Shoes back in the building I love my I love my I love my shoes calm down she looks pretty calm already all right so let's go through the specs real quick now these come in two different colors you got black and soft white now these are Bluetooth version 5.4 and the Codex is SBC AAC aptx lossless and apx adaptive now these feature multipoint connection that means you comp paare two devices at the same time now you got 40 mm Dynamic drivers these feature spatial audio and dynamic head tracking you got active noise cancellation and transparency mode the battery life is 30 hours on a sing charge now that's what active noise cancellation turned on 30 hours now you also got quick charge so 3 minutes of charge will give you three hours worth of playback now these feature weird detection that means when you're playing your music and you take the headphones off the music will automatically pause when you put them back on your music will resume now you got eight mics four on each side that's going to give you crystal clear phone calls you got physical touch controls and there's an app that's available for Android and iOS to let you customize your EQ settings now the weight of these is 30 uh actually 312 G all right so all of that for 450 bucks let's unbox it and see what it is now at the end of this video I'm going to answer three important questions number one are these really worth 450 bucks number two how do these rank versus the airpod max that's the ones everybody been asking me about and number three how would I rank these versus my top five overthe a headphones with active noise cancellation all right so here we go Sonos Ace now I went with the black color package feels like it's made out of recycled materials okay I'm all for the environment you know how I do okay let's see Sonos voice control now there's a few features that's not available at launch so I'm not really going to talk about those too much okay here we go Sonos Ace inside now this is going to be your carrying case let's go and check this out now the case itself has this kind of wool kind of feel to it feels good what's that velvet okay has a little case let's check the rest of the Box this is going to be your usual books and pluck them in fum and let's see okay now this is going to be a charging cable USB type-c to USB type-c and you get a USB type-c the 3.5 real nice and this is going to be your product information okay and that's pretty much it for the box now let's take a look at the Sonos Ace carrying case hard shell if you got cats this is going to be a cat hair magnet I can tell that already let's see let's check the zippers okay hold up check the Zipp now yall know I like to say maximum Zipp but got caught once already but so far it seems like this material may get stuck in the zipper but hey it is what it is all right let's try that again yeah okay anyway inside these are going to be your headphones and you get a little pouch right here now this where I'm going to drop my cables in and it just sticks just like that now for the headphones like I said 312 G are the weight nice and lightweight got metal right here I like that and it's cold ice cold okay let's do the Easter Island head test okay so if you got a big ass head you're going to be good now these don't fold but the air cups do swivel not a full swivel but minimum swivel you want to put them back in the case like I said no folding so you're just going to have to drop them in just like this you actually going to have to close them back up drop them in the case all right so let's grab our phone pair these up and then we'll start our usual testing Talk Amongst yourselves all right y so we back in first first let's take a look at the actual headphones nice and lightweight soft headband the air cups pretty soft okay not the softness of the airpod max but still soft okay I'm not going to say titty soft but pretty soft pretty soft nice memory foam in there I like that again super stretch on these swivel airups now you got your buttons so this is going to be your power button okay USB typ-c charging slot and this also works for USB type-c play Black play play Black playback all right USB typc payback USB typc playback okay for lossless audio okay on this side this is going to be multi-functional button okay this is going to switch between active noise cancellation and transparency mode and this is going to be a Content button okay so you got volume up and down and you can press it for play answering end phone calls skipping reverse tracks and I activate your voice assistant now I like to see the physical touch buttons as opposed to the swipe gestures more convenient and more accurate little Sonos branding and that's pretty much it now for the pairing process real simple just download the Sonos app once you power up the headphones you're going to get the prompt and just follow the directions now of course just like any other set of headphones you get make sure you do your update all right so now let's take take a look at the Sonos app now you got all your profile information on the top you got some more settings so you can add a speaker or component you got a picture of your headphones the name of your headphones and your battery percentage now you also got your music playback controls if you click on this you can change the name you got your battery percentage right there this is your noise control okay so you got active noise cancellation Ambient sound mode also known as aware mode or you can turn it off now here's your EQ so you got base and balance you can also turn the loudness on and off for low volumes you got head tracking multi-point connection you can pair up two devices at the same time here's your Hardware controls okay for the button you got your wear detection turn that on and off about information and your education okay so the app is Simple and Clean all right so one quick side note now if you want to take advantage of the apx Codex you can't use an iPhone because they don't support it and you're going to have to use an Android phone that supports apx now for this video I'm going to be using a VI XF 3 and as you can see aptx adaptive is in use all right so now let's talk about the look The fit and the feel now one more thing I wanted to mention these air cups do pop off and if you notice inside there're two different colors so you know which one to put them back on but here's another little fun fact you can't put them on the wrong one you see the magnets won't let you do it so it didn't have to put the colors in it you'll know which one is which now when it comes to the actual softness of the airups I like them better than the Sony's I don't really like these too much but honestly airpod Max yall remember when I did the video I told y'all these feel like titties these are the best all right these are the softest most juicest airups but these are these are really good these are really soft though nice memory foam on these and again easy to take off and clean same thing with airpod Max you can pop these off and clean them too it is what it is now I'm going to drop these on my head okay inside you see you got right and left so you know which side to put them on and oh one more thing I want to mention as far as the build quality now personally I don't care how good these sound how good the noise cancellation is I hate these cheap plastic feeling headphones I just I just hate it and if you notice you see all the smudges these actually have an oleophobic coating on it so you notice no smudges and even though it's a lot of plastic on these and uh synthetic leather it still feels a lot heavier and more premium than the Sony's I like that now when I put them on my head very soft comfortable fit you could feel the noise cancellation is going to be top tier here's how they look now I would like the ear cups to have been a little bit bigger because I wear earrings and I can feel it a little bit but once I adjust it okay now I just adjusted it just now and my whole ear is completely engulfed in this okay now let's do a little sound test all right so I got a new song queued up we got Kendrick Lamar not like us now I pick this song on purpose because I don't know the words so I can't sing along I'm forced to listen to the music now I'm going to start off at maximum volume I got the EQ set to the stock settings and active noise cancellation turned off now one tap for play and pause on the content button let's rock and roll okay okay definitely nice and Loud mustard on the bee ho okay hold up okay now you can hear a lot of Separation in the music okay hold up let's take it over to the let's take it over to the EQ all right so we're going to need some more trouble on this let's see okay now that's how I like it all right let's try more Bas okay you can hear the bass moving up all right now this is how I like it I'm a base head okay all right let's go back let me listen okay let's try the let's try the I took them off my head okay you see they Pause by itself I'm going put them back on okay now the music didn't resume by itself okay so let's see I'm going to hit the button again all right okay now as far as the good all right they sound good but do they sound like $450 headphones no they sound good though they sound good I would they they they sound like the Sony you know they sound like the bows I ain't volume all they definitely get loud they definitely get loud okay now look let me explain something Y and I catch a lot of flack for this when I do my videos but hey this is just me this is just me in my opinion let me say it like this I know somebody's going to say oh I watched this person's Channel and they said this I watched that video and they said that there's no such thing as a professional review basically a review is somebody who buys a product and tells you the experience when you buy these you can be a professional reviewer too you buy these turn in your camera and tell people what you think my opinion on products I tend to have I tend to go for more bass because I listen to this kind of music like this that has a lot of bass I would say this the Bas on this is good but at maximum base I'm hearing a little popping sound I know somebody's going to say oh you got to give the headphones a chance to break in and all of that come on bro you know this is not my first pair of headphones I got a thousand one pair of headphones they shouldn't be popping like this right out of the box I that's already a red flag for me but I will say the sound quality is good I don't want to be too hard on these but the thing is these was hard on my pockets all this ain't a review unit I I I just paid 450 bucks on these I'm expecting to be blown away these ain't these ain't going to blow you away all they definitely not going to blow you away I'm going put them on one more time let's try um let's try a different genre all right let's see what I got let's see um what I got my okay we got uh okay this is a lot of I got a lot of oh you know what this is my this actually one of my songs right here uh the these dreams all right let's let's take it over to these dreams okay now let's go back to the EQ okay so I got loudness turned on I'll drop the base a Chad okay we'll turn on head tracking let's try the head trck in okay now I'm completely turning around away from the phone okay oh the head tracking is kind of cute okay the head tracking is kind of cute okay all right hold up now let me hit pause now for this kind of music I'm G keep it a buck for this kind of music oh these these actually sound really good on this song right here because separation all the the vocals from the music all right that's when when people say oh that these headphones have good separation separating the vocals from the music and they sound great and I will say this the head tracking as I'm I'm sitting in a chair right here that spins so as I'm spinning around in the chair it sounds like the music is still like right in front of my face and I like that I like that let me hit playing the music One More Time hold up all right here we go let's hit play on the music let's see do we got any lyrics Dre okay skinning and linen pume on my wrist the full moon that hangs over these dreams in the midst all right hold up you see now look I took off okay now look you see just now the head track the um the weird detection just worked I'mma put them back on okay so when you take them off you're going to have to press that button to play play the music all right let's try that one more time you see now I took them off and it's still playing now these are brand new headphones so maybe they could push an update to fix some of these bugs but right now I'm not getting that popping sound let me see okay I remember are the dreams in the M hold let me grab my mic y'all these dreams go on when I close my eyes every second of the night I live another life these dreams all right hold on all right look now took them off again still playing all right so a little bit buggy little bit buggy with that now this why I want toest a song like this this kind of music like this you know R&B music you know disco80s something that's not Super Bass heavy these sound terrific they sound terrific okay but and this is why I always talk about bass because it's pretty easy to get the highs and mids on headphones and speakers bass it's harder to get bass because that's the difference between a cheap Bluetooth speaker and a good one if you turn the bass all the way down in the app they both going to sound the same highs and mids but bass bass gets muddy okay bass can't be reproduced as good sometimes you get that popping sound bass is what separates quality from trash okay now I will say this 450 bucks I I just I just can't cosign them yet let me do a little bit more testing okay oh hold up what did I do it just started playing by itself okay look you see I put them on just now and it started playing by itself scared the out of me hold up I put them back on my head head okay now it's playing I'm going to take him off okay you know what I think I just figured it out I think when you put him back on your head you got to press press them on your ears let me try that again okay I put them on and press it on my ears okay no that wasn't it I thought I figured it out nothing all right anyway let's do a little bit more testing all right so let me try out the weird detection using an iPhone I'm going to hit playing the music I took him off the music is still playing put them back on nothing okay now now it did now it paused now put them back on okay nothing so this could be something that they have to fix with an update because as you can see for yourself I got the weird detection turned on we'll do that one more time okay I'm going to take these off I took them off still playing all right it is what it is now I know somebody's gon to ask does it sound better on the Android phone or the iPhone and it sounds pretty similar but it sounds a little bit better using the Android phone abtx all right so I just disconnected my Bluetooth reset the headphones paired everything back up now I've been doing some testing off camera and I haven't had that popping sound again so that might have just been a quick fluk maybe these are brand new maybe something was a little loose on the inside I don't know but now the popping sound is gone and they back to sounding great let's play some music you hear how loud these are though they definitely have a nice amount of volume and Clarity I like that I will say the base is there but it's just not the deepest and richest base that I've heard on headphones especially for 450 bucks all right so now let's try out the physical buttons now this is going to turn on active noise cancellation transparency mode and if you go to the app you can also set it to turn both of them off now this this is going to be volume up and down you got play and pause that'll also answer them phone calls and if you double press go to the next trap triple press go to the previous track and you can use the voice assistant so all of the controls actually work and I like the physical buttons all right so now let's do the reconnection test how long do these take to reconnect to your phone after you power them off so as you can see I'm connected to the Sonos Ace let's go ahead and power these off okay fully disconnected power them back on one Mississippi two Mississippi 3 Mississippi four Mississippi 5 Mississippi six Mississippi okay six Mississippi now that was a lot longer than a lot of the other headphones and earbuds that I do but hey it is what it is all right so now let's try multipoint connection I got an Android phone and an iPhone here's the Android phone okay here's the iPhone and there it is multipoint connection Works flawlessly all right so now let's check for latency and what I mean by that is when you're watching the video is there any delay from the person's lips to what you hear let's hit play now it could be some delay on YouTube but as you can see for yourself though no delay at all got to see the baby all right so this would be perfect for watching your videos all right so now let's test out active noise cancellation and transparency mode and in the side note there's another thing that I don't like about these watch this now I'm pressing the button on the headphones to cycle between active noise cancellation and transparency mode now I'm in transparency mode right now there's no voice prompt and if you notice it doesn't switch on the app you see right now it's off so I put on the wear mode so now I'm in transparency mode now I'm going to use the actual watch this I'm going to use the button from the headphones when I press it there's no voice prompt and it doesn't switch on the app I don't like that but nevertheless let's go ahead and try out all right so we're going to turn these off first okay now I just I just got a jump scare because I put the headphones on and then my music started playing so the wear detection is very gimmicky right now I would advise you to turn it off that was a major jump scare just now all right so right now I got everything off I'm going to put on the wear mode okay so now I'm in transparency mode the transparency mode in these sounds Supernatural oh let me see oh it actually sounds really good these sound really good now I got to test them versus my airpod Max because those have some of the Supreme uh transparency mode that you're going to find but these are right up there see I I always go like this can I hear the subtle sound of a nail on the table I hear everything but basically my voice doesn't have that robotic sound to it it sounds very natural okay so transparency mode on these top tier now let's take it over to active noise cancellation now the active noise cancellation these are guaranteed to be top tier because when I pressed the button just now it felt like all of the oxygen just rushed out of my head but of course we got the crying baby so we're going to do that test all right so here's what I'm going to do first I'm going to play the baby all right I'm going to play the baby with no with no active noise cancellation I'm going to turn I'm going to turn this matter of fact let's try a wear so here's the baby with a wear okay now this will be annoying let's turn on active noise cancellation okay now of course I still hear the baby but you can hear the difference that's letting you know that there is some change all right it is actually working so I got noise cancellation turned on now for this in the house test I'm gonna play this baby I'm gonna play my music at maximum volume if these are top tier noise cancelling headphones I'm not going to hear none of the baby at all I'm just going to hear my music and to make it a step further I'm actually going to turn on this fan okay got a little low fan right here here we go so I'm going to play the baby okay now this is getting on my nerves let's play some music okay okay all right hold up now I don't want to I don't want to kill y'all with the baby now I just okay I just took him off and the automatic weird detection did work just now let me turn this fan off these are definitely going to be top tier noise canceling headphones when I played my music just now I could feel my fan blowing on me but I couldn't hear none of it at all and the baby just disappeared disappeared now of course I got to take these outside I'm gonna walk around the corner go get white shoes some dinner and I'll come back and I'll let youall know how they sound in the real world but in the House Top tier active noise cancellation and top tier transparency mode all right now there's a few features that's not available at launch and one of them is being able to connect this to your sound bars now right now you can connect it to the Sonos Arc but if you got a Sonos beam or a Sonos Play Bar you can't do that just yet so I'm going to do an update to this video there's another few uh features that's coming soon too and I'll talk about those when I do the full update all right so I want to speed up the rest of this video so I'm just going to talk about the rest of my testing now he have Bluetooth version 5.4 so I did the range test I walked all the way to 30 ft no drop connection at all next I called Amaya on the phone we had a long conversation she gave these a 7.5 in terms of call Quality but I heard her perfectly fine she heard me perfectly fine no issues at all now let's talk about active noise cancellation y know I got three tiers okay we got trash tier okay tier and top tier and of of course we got the Covenant god tier Sony and Bows I'm going to say these are top tier but they're knocking on the door all right these could almost be god tier active noise cancellation these are right up there with the airpod max okay I would say these two on the same level then after that Sony and Bose but these they all they all topof the top tier noise cancellation but these also have the top tier Ambient sound mode right up there with the airpod max you can have a natural conversation without taking these off and you're not going to sound like a robot I like that now let me answer those couple of questions number one are these worth 450 bucks and I'm going to say no unless okay unless there's a big butt right here okay big butt these are not worth 450 bucks in my opinion but if you have a compatible Soundbar like the Sonos beam uh actually the Sonos Arc I think that's the one that's out right now that is comp ible the Sonos art if you're in a relationship with somebody now y know it's pride month all right so if you got a boyfriend girlfriend whatever you got but say y'all on two different schedules so you in the bed you wide awake they in the bed they ready to go to sleep being able to connect these with one button right to your Soundbar that's a nice feature okay that's a nice feature but how many people actually have the Sonos Arc right now personally like I said I got the play bar a lot of y'all using Bose and Sony and LG Soundbars so that feature ain't really going to appeal to yall just just in terms of sound quality alone sound quality build quality features is this worth 450 bucks I'm going to say no okay we seen a lot of headphones on the market that have nine band eqs Three band eqs Five band eqs way more features okay I will say the build quality is excellent lightweight it doesn't feel as cheap as the Sony's but definitely not as premium as the airpod max now somebody's going to say the airpod max a lot heavier and that's true and that's true can't nothing to say about that that's true so I would say these these should be right now I would be comfortable paying 300 bucks if these was 300 bucks I will be singing a whole different note right now okay because it all depends on the kind of music that you like if you like me and you like that hardcore music with a lot of bass you're going to be underwhelmed but if you like disco music R&B you know uh love songs all that you know classical music these have excellent highes and mids okay the separation is there and the head tracking mode the head tracking mode is a lot of fun but these should realistically be 300 bucks 450 bucks is a stretch when you're paying 450 bucks you're going to be expecting top-of-the-line build quality okay so I would say 300 bucks at Max maybe wait a while these are definitely going to be on sale next question how do I rank these versus my airpod Max now these are real airpod max these are just Paka covers that I put on them side note if you're going to get the airpod max don't get them in white these are like almost 4 years old they're going to get dirty so I actually got them in white and blue you know you don't be walking around looking like a Savage so if I'm going somewhere fancy I got nice clean ones on deck when it comes to which one do I like better I'm going to say honestly let me go ahead and get a little wipe down on that you know you know I'm going to say honestly I like the airpod max a little bit better now when it comes to the highs and mids I would give it to the Sonos okay I would give it to the Sonos if it was if I was just going to listen to badonna music all day long I would give it to the Sonos but at some point I'm going to want to throw on some future okay at some point I'm going to want to throw on some pot I like the airpod max better these have better base in my opinion okay better Bas but so overall sound quality if I had to pick one right now somebody said you got to take one of these off the table and head over to the airport I'm going with the airpod max now if you got an iPhone you definitely want to go with the airpod max over the Sonos but if you got an Android phone that supports aptx uh lossless or adaptive whatever you if you got a a new Android phone not a Galaxy okay you got to be a Vivo a xiaomi you know Snapdragon sound phone then you might want to check out the Sonos okay so I'm still going with the airpod max now how would I rank these versus my top five and did they even make it into my top five and the answer is no they didn't make it to my top five number one on my list still undefeated okay the bno h95 the Supreme build quality the lamb skin air cups come on these These are still number one in my book number two the fal bath these if you're going to spend some now these ain't these going you going to have to pay for these you're going to have to pay to play with these but you're going to you're going to like it now I know some of y'all have that what do you call that phobia with the circles I'm sorry I don't mean to trip y'all out but it is what it is I call it trip the phobia cuz y'all be tripping out on little all right but folk out B these that's number two number three on my list my favorites I love traveling with these cuz race car life the m in Dynamics MW 75s AMG Edition top tier noise cancellation sound quality the bass the bass be rumbling I will say number four on my list I'm going with the bows and wikins the px8 again if you see the theme here I'm into build quality all of these have look at look at the difference in the air cups I mean these right here these feel like titties all these are these are the titty air cups all right shout out to my girl and number five on my list these did not break it I'm still going with the airpod max Supreme active noise cancellation Supreme transparency mode the air cups now I can pop these off and clean them if I want to I'm just a lazy fat but um you can you can do that if you want you can do that if you want these are still number five then after that I would say number six you see now now we got a tossup so number six could be either one of these the Sony the Sonos the bows the sennheisers number six I'd probably go sennheisers or the techniques or these like after the top five is basically everything is number six everything else is number six so how would I rank these on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give these a major major go now if you're new to my channel two majors that's around a 7 to 7.5 I mean don't get me wrong I don't want to be too hard on these they sound great but for 450 bucks all
