OnePlus 6T Review with Pros & Cons - Upgrade or Not

Oneplus 7 Review: A Good Upgrade or Not?

The Oneplus 7 is a device that has been making waves in the tech world, and I'm here to give you my honest review of it. As someone who's been using their previous OnePlus devices, I was excited to see how this new model would stack up.

First off, let me talk about the camera. I have to say that I've been really impressed with the camera on this device. The Oneplus 7 has a quad-camera setup at the back, which includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a pair of 16MP ultra-wide-angle lenses. It also features electronic image stabilization for both the front-facing and rear-facing cameras, which is great for reducing camera shake and blur.

When it comes to taking photographs in low lighting, I have to say that this device can be a bit buggy at times. The shutter speed can take a little bit of time to settle in, which can sometimes result in blurry photos. However, with the latest update, this issue seems to have been resolved. I've also noticed that the camera can produce some amazing results, especially when it comes to capturing details and colors.

Another feature that I'm really impressed with is the audio quality. The Oneplus 7 has a quad-speaker setup, which provides clear and crisp sound. In fact, in my tests, I was able to record some great video using this device. The audio pickup is also excellent, making it ideal for recording videos or podcasts.

Now, let's talk about the pros of this device. One of the standout features that I like about the Oneplus 7 is its fast charging capabilities. The device comes with a 30W charger, which can quickly top up your battery from zero to 100% in just over an hour. This makes it perfect for people who are always on-the-go and need a reliable power source.

Another pro that I'd like to mention is the display. The Oneplus 7 features a beautiful AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The screen is also quite vibrant, making it perfect for watching videos or browsing the web.

However, there are also some cons to this device that I'd like to mention. One of the biggest drawbacks is the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack. This was a feature that was present in previous OnePlus devices, but has now been removed. While I understand that most people use wireless headphones these days, I still think it's a shame that this feature has been dropped.

Another con that I'd like to mention is the durability of the device. In my tests, I noticed that the back glass of the Oneplus 7 is prone to scratches and damage. This is especially true if you're not careful when handling the device or storing it in your bag. The screen guard provided by OnePlus does help to protect the display, but it's not enough to prevent damage from the back glass.

Finally, let's talk about the pricing of this device. Oneplus has increased the pricing for the base model, which starts at 38,000 INR, up from what I would say was a more reasonable price point previously. The higher-end variants of the device also come with even higher prices, making it less accessible to budget-conscious buyers.

Overall, I'd say that the Oneplus 7 is a good upgrade for those who are already using OnePlus devices. However, if you're looking to upgrade from an older device or want a premium Android experience without breaking the bank, I'd recommend waiting for the next flagship device from OnePlus.

My personal opinion is that the quality control on this device needs to be improved. In my tests, I noticed that the back glass was prone to scratches and damage, which is not something you want in a device that's meant to last. Additionally, the removal of the headphone jack has been met with resistance from some buyers, who see it as an unnecessary feature.

In conclusion, the Oneplus 7 is a solid device that offers great performance, camera quality, and audio capabilities. However, it also comes with its share of drawbacks, including the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack and poor durability. If you're looking for a premium Android experience, I'd recommend waiting for the next flagship device from OnePlus to see what improvements they've made.

As a final note, if you have any questions about this device or would like me to elaborate on anything I mentioned in this review, please don't hesitate to ask in the comments section below. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranjit Anne and this video we'll be doing the full review for this one plus 60 and I have been using this device for the last 10 days and I'll divide this interview between the pros and cons what I liked about this device and what are some of the peculiar things that I've noticed with this device and to be very blunt I would say this is a small upgrade to the 1 plus 6 and I don't feel frankly you need to upgrade if you are already on the 1 plus 6 and first let's talk about the pros and the first thing that you'll notice with this 1 plus 6t compared to earlier one class devices start in terms of screen it's slightly bigger because now if we compare it with the 1 plus 6 the 1 plus 6 had this big notch here we have that water drop design and if you notice closely at the bottom also notice the bezels the bells are a lot thinner on the 1 plus 60 and you know that they are able to fit this bigger screen almost the same screen what do you say chassés so it gives a very immersive experience if you actually use the navigation option that one glass has given where you can use the entire screen if you want so that way it's a good screen and also coming back to the AMOLED screen that there is still a full HD plus not quad HD or anything like that but again the quality of the screen is actually really good I didn't have any problems and also in terms of auto brightness the auto brightness calibration has done then on this I don't have to worry too much about it now I'm going to one thing that I've really liked about this one class devices in general it's not only restricted to those 1 plus 16 it's oxygen movers and still one class is doing a fabulous job in terms of updating and polishing it it is the smoothest UI that I've seen on Android what do you say phone asking a custom UI it is very fast no lag whatsoever so in that way oxygen OS is the trump card for this one and I mean just like earlier oneplus devices even 1% like the southeast and plugin 845 this one also has that so in terms of daily performance or day-to-day usage no lag whatsoever you'll note as it's a very fast device over one of the fastest I would say in terms of UI also nothing lags everything this pops whenever you click as you can see so in that aspect they have done a very good job anyways now I'm going to the biggest thing about this 1 +6 device is that in the one place which we had the severe fingerprint scanner but if you notice this one at the back it simply don't have that they have gone with the in display fingerprint scanner on this one and actually it works really well I was also very skeptical but as you can see the performance of this in display fingerprint scanner is actually really good and it's actually fast yes it is not as fast as a dedicated what do you say fingerprint scanner physical thing this film scanner on the back but again it's not slow at all within about two days I got used to this one and in fact it works very well I would say it works almost 98% of the time and in fact it was a little bit slow when I got this phone again guys I got this phone a little bit early but after the first update I would say the fingerprint scanner performance has improved and during the last 10 days in fact I've got three updates on this phone and I mean regarding the fingerprint scanner you don't have to worry it is a very reliable in display fingerprint scanner now I'm going to call quality just like earlier one place phones I have no problems I tested this one with Gio on volte and 8/10 and again had no problem sir with that your piece quality is good I had no issues with that and also I took some calls with the speakerphone and they were loud and clear so it's just having the single speaker but in terms of call why speaker phones they work good now I'm going to the battery life here I have seen a significant improvement if we compare it with earlier one priscilla's or also the 1 plus 6 to give you a very rough idea i would say in terms of battery life this new one plus 60 is giving me anywhere around 1r to almost one and a half hours of extra screen on time compared to the one plus 6 to give you a rough idea this one plus 6 was generally giving me anywhere between 5 to 6 hours of screen on time it's not typical I use it and this one can actually go anywhere between six and a half to about 8 hours of screen on time so in terms of battery life yes I've seen a good improvement so what does it translate for a normal user I would say for a normal user it will easily last for about one and a half days and for casual users it can easily last for about two days and if you are sort of very heavy or user also full day will last without any issues on this device and also it does have that - charging that's the fast charging that oneplus does now mean - another thing that I liked with this one but again there increase the pricing I didn't like that moving to the base storage the earlier one + devices had 64 gigabytes of internal storage whereas on this one + 16 the minimum storage is 128 gigabytes and it comes in two variants the minimum what do you say Varian 6 TB of RAM and 8gb of RAM and it's 128 and there is also one more premium version that comes with 256 gigabytes of storage so I feel also in storage now you don't have to worry that much because these 1 plus devices simply don't have any micro SD card slot so the storage is what you get you have to be contented with that now moving another thing that I liked as updates they are pushing on the updates very quickly on this as I mentioned already got three updates and it's already of the November security update on this device so oneplus is definitely pushing out quite a few updates but again they're pushing out the updates I feel very quickly because the last update actually added some bugs in the camera so let's now talk about the camera and here if you're thinking that there'll be huge improvements compared to the earlier version of the oneplus like 1 + 6 you might be disappointed because the camera setup is exactly the same as the 1 + 6 the main camera is a 16 megapixel that has optical image stabilization and the secondary camera is 20 megapixels moving to the front-facing camera it's a 16 megapixel but due to software improvements they have enhanced picture quality slightly and also it does slightly better in low light they also have this thing called night mode so yes definitely the image quality has improved slightly but don't expect rustic improvement but the good thing is that even though software improvements will be coming on the oneplus X so you don't have to worry about that so as you can see you the sample shots the camera performance is actually good for this one nothing like what do you say revolutionary that I've noticed and yes in artificial lighting and low Lighting's things have improved because they have this new thing called night more and it actually works as you can see some of the sample shots that I took in pretty low lighting and they work but I mean what I'm noticing right now in the start night mode and particularly if you take photographs in low lighting it's a little bit buggy and sometimes the shutter actually just hands like our it takes a little bit of time so that is something that you have to be careful then I feel this is a bug because only with the latest update I started getting this so yes I think so that should be solved in the next update so yes camera is good and just like the earlier one person devices video quality you can shoot up to 4k and it does have stabilization electronic image stabilization for both the front-facing as well as the rear-facing and also I like the fact that the audio pickup that we have while we do video recording is actually really good for example here is a small clip that I had shot with this one plus 16y a question both are I'm watching you have one plus 60 cabaret me or the ones plus 60 say year video record car Wow Takia Posca IDR hang a cursor a Toledo recording is key audio vegara vergara now let's move to the cons what are the things that I did not like with this one and the first biggest con that I personally have with this one is that now oneplus has actually removed the 3.5 mm headphone jack which was founded every earlier oneplus device and I feel this is not justified because I miss that yes they haven't even and dongle in the Box about step if you are a person like me who has a lot of headphones you have to carry that tangle with you so that is one thing that I definitely do not like with this one and now I'm going to another thing is that oneplus says that this new one +60 has Gorilla Glass 6 fine but even though it's having that Gorilla Glass 6 the front what do you say portion where the screen is there they have put a screen guard by default but if you move to the back they don't have a screen guard or anything and if we notice closely here at the bottom look at the bottom right area you'll notice so many scratches on this one and this is with just about 10 days of usage so I'm also powerful what is the quality control they have the device is getting so many scratches and also picked up this one plus six and I've used this one plus six a lot more more than a month and if I look at it here at the back it simply does not have that many scratches so again if you're getting this device be very careful the back glass is prone to scratches and you have got so many scratches with just about ten days of using so definitely use it with the case that is supplied or put a screen guard on this I don't know what quality of glass they are putting because just in ten days this is not acceptable when my Frank opinion and now lastly moving to the pricing the pricing also has changed now with the oneplus the base winning that comes with six gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage will start at 38,000 so they have definitely increased the pricing and the suite model I would say that comes with 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage it's at 42,000 there's also another variant that comes with 256 gigabytes that it's priced even higher so definitely they are started to increase the pricing and I would say this phone is for people who are having some sort of older phone for example if you are already having a oneplus device let's say you're having a 1 plus like the 1 + 3 P or even 1 plus 5 then you can upgrade to this one it's a good upgrade but again if you are having the 1 + 6 or even 1 + 5 t I would say I don't think so it's a must-have upgrade because we know that the 1 + 7 will be launching in about 5 6 months and with the 1 + 7 it's going to have the new Snapdragon chipset that supports 5 gene and I also feel now finally with the 1 + 7 1 + will change the camera configuration they will put better cameras or hardware on this one so that will also be improved so if you can wait I would frankly say that wait for the 1 + 7 but again if you want to upgrade it's a good device but now certainly you have started to pay a premium for the 1 + prime anyways guys that's it for now for the review of this one + 60 if you still have any questions about this device do let me know in the comment section below I'll be happy to answer them and guys if you're still not subscribe to my youtube channel hit that
