Book Review- Sisterhood Everlasting

**A Review of "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" Book Series**

I recently had the opportunity to read and review the book series "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants", which has been a favorite among readers for many years. As I delved into the world of these four young women, I was struck by how well the authors captured their characters' growth and development over time.

One aspect that stood out to me was the character growth of each individual. For example, Elena, the artistic one who teaches art, is a particular favorite of mine. She's shy and timid, but also has a unique talent for drawing. I couldn't help but relate to her quiet nature, as it's something I've struggled with in my own life. The way the authors wove together each character's storyline was remarkable, showcasing how they changed and grew over time.

As I read through the series, I found myself becoming more invested in each of the characters' lives. Carmen is now an actress on a TV show, engaged to a rather unpleasant partner - something that can happen to anyone, I suppose. Lena is living in Providence, teaching at her college, but keeping many aspects of her life private. And Bridget is still with her boyfriend, Eric, although it's not always clear if they're truly meant for each other.

The book series explores the challenges and triumphs of young adulthood, highlighting how friendships can endure even as individuals grow apart. The authors do an excellent job of capturing the ups and downs of life, showcasing how relationships evolve over time. While some parts of the story were particularly difficult to read, I found that the overall message was one of hope and resilience.

The biggest takeaway from reading this series is just how well it captures the essence of female friendships. The bond between these four women is strong, and their experiences are relatable on a deep level. As I finished reading the final book in the series, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction - knowing that these characters had found happiness and fulfillment.

However, I must note that this book was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for me. It's a bittersweet tale that tackles some heavy themes, including loss and heartbreak. If you're not prepared for the sadness that comes with reading about real-life struggles, it may be difficult to fully enjoy the series.

In terms of the movie adaptations, I was surprised by how different they were from the books. While the actresses who played the roles did a great job of capturing the essence of each character, the overall tone and direction of the movies differed significantly from the book series. Ultimately, my opinion on this aspect is subjective, but it's clear that fans of the books often felt that the movies didn't quite do justice to the source material.

Overall, I'd recommend "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" book series to anyone who enjoys stories about female friendships and self-discovery. While not every aspect of the series will resonate with readers, its core message is one of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. And, as a bonus, I'll be adding this series to my library collection - a testament to its enduring appeal and timeless themes.

**A Personal Note**

As I finished writing this review, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the experience of reading this series. It's reminded me that, even in adulthood, friendships can be just as vital to our well-being as they are in our younger years. And, who knows, maybe one day we'll all be reading about these characters' next chapter - a testament to the power of storytelling and the bonds we form with others.

**A Recommendation**

If you haven't already, I highly recommend picking up "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" book series. It's not just for young adult readers; its themes of friendship, love, and self-discovery are timeless and universal. And, while it may tackle some heavy subjects along the way, the overall message is one of hope and resilience that's hard to put down.

**A Library Acquisition**

This book will be added to my library collection shortly, where it will join many other cherished titles. I'm excited to share this series with readers who appreciate stories about female friendships and self-discovery - a reminder that, no matter what our age or stage of life, we're all still navigating the ups and downs of human connection.

**Conclusion**

In conclusion, "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" book series is a must-read for anyone who loves stories about female friendships and self-discovery. While it's not without its challenges and difficult themes, the overall message is one of hope and resilience that's hard to put down. And, as a bonus, I'll be adding this series to my library collection - a testament to its enduring appeal and timeless themes.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys H here with bookables and I'm doing a book review today of Sisterhood Everlasting by an brush fres fres fresh shirs I don't know I can't pronounce your name anyway sorry for the loud noise that is my washing machine which is right there so it'll probably be loud I can't cancel it so yeah sorry anyway I'm going to try to do I know my last review was like 7 minutes or something that's insanely long so I'm just going to give you a brief synopsis of this book and overall what I thought this book is the sequel to The Sisters of the travel and pants series which has four books in it and S sister to the Travelon B the second summer the third summer the fourth summer and basically what The Sisterhood is about is it starts off the I'm going to tell you a little bit about the first book in case you guys don't know anything about it it it's about four girls named Carmen Lena Tibby and Bridget and they're four girls they start at the age 16 they find this they're thrift store shopping one day um and they find these pants these jeans that fit every one of them perfectly and both and all of them are very very different body shape sorry Carmen for example she's Latino so she's um she's not like I wouldn't say she's overweight or anything but she's um she just has a lot of Curves in her so she's curving and she's got like you know she's a thick girl I guess like me I'm thick girl um and Bridget's very tall and slender and athletic and Lena's just kind of she's got curves but she's just very elegant kind of graceful and Tibby just like I would say a normal person but the jeans fit all of them perfectly which really shouldn't happen a tall slender girl should be able to fit in the same jeans that a very short and curvy girl would anyway and so they dub these the pants the magical pants they're call the magical pants and they do like a ceremony around them because this would be the first summer that they'll be um aart so basically the book follows like each one of them like a like you know three or four pages is Bridget's point of view then it's Lena's then it's Carmen and so that's what basically all the books are about they're all about Summers and um this book um sister Everlasting starts off with them and they're all about to turn 30 so they're about 28 29 30 well they're all born like in September of the same month that's why they're like sisters and um it just picks up where um I didn't pick up where it left off obviously it just shows where they are at their lives now and um that was basically the synopsis of it I keep this book a three out of five stars I liked it I I did love it kind of too I me that but I wasn't in all of it like it didn't melt my heart completely because guys this is a very sad book I would not read this if you don't like sad books because someone does die in it I'm not going to say who if it's a main character supporting character someone does die in it and it's very sad but it's very good for um overall growth of characters like you see how each of them changes from this death like certain things just happen and um I do have a favorite character I've always had a favorite character I don't know why but her name Elena that's my favorite she's the artistic one that can draw and she teaches art and I don't know I've always loved her because she's just very shy and timid that's sort of me I'm very feisty but I can be very timid too I used to be very timid at one point but I love her and costos together I always have but that's that's that this book is it's it's pretty good like it's but it's so sad I got to admit it's very such a sad book it just you have to be ready for the sadness in it because I wasn't quite ready for it yet and I was riding in a car with my husband driving when I you know read surgery the zad parts and I was like oh my gosh and it hits you like a wall of bricks that's the right phrasing I guess you could say but the all the characters just it's weird to see how different they are Carmen's now a actress on a TV show and she's engaged to some awful guy I know doesn't everyone have a friend that's involved with a terrible guy it's just how how it is Lena's is a which I want to say Carmen's in New York that's right Lena is living in Providence where she teaches at um her college she graduated from I forget what the name is but she keeps it to herself a lot lot she starts dating this sandwich maker guy I don't know and um tb's living in Australia with her boyfriend Brian so that's nothing there I guess and Bridget is with her boyfriend still Eric this book is very good very good for character growth that's my washing machine I apologize it's tell meate St um this book is very good for character growth you see how all of them are now and how they all kind of drifted apart throughout the years how they can come come back together and come back strong how they're always going to be best friends until they're 80 and something like that it's very good to see how all of them end up because you know when you're reading your series you're like holy crap what happens to them in 10 years like what's going on you nobody knows but this book I think it does very good for summarizing up everybody's life and how it all comes together and just finally seeing that happiness that was was instilled in the old books is finally in this the end of this book so as much full as much as it is full of sadness there is some happy times in this book you finally get I like to say I get the big hurah at the end I get all my things that I wanted to happen cuz you know when you read books you're like why is the author doing everything I don't want to happen and everything I don't want to happen is happening like I don't I don't get it but overall this book is a three out of five I would definitely pick it up if you have read the sister of the travel plans but don't read it I don't think if you haven't read because it's just something about learning who each of these girls are before they're 30 just helps out so much so I would definitely pick up I would definitely pick up the series it's a very good series very cute cute read I love him I love the series and if you've seen the movies the movies do not do the books Justice at all they really don't what I really hated was that the second movie like put the second third and fourth book all together I was like what that's not no we don't do that we do not do that but they did pick the perfect actresses I think to play the roles in the in the book I got to be honest but the movies are okay they're not the best but it's definitely not the worst movies I've seen from book to movie adaptation that I'll just say that the worst one I had to say was L Enchanted I don't know why they did that why did they do that why I don't know but once again this book is a three out of five very good I loved it I love I would love like relationship with it I kind of love it but I kind of like it kind of love it but this is a library book so I'm definitely going to have to pick this up for my library for my collection want to say library this is not a library but um I hope you guys enjoyed I hope that was a much shorter review and hopefully it was decent enough I don't know my RS are kind of so so but um have a great and fabulous day byehey guys H here with
