The Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL: A Revolutionary Device with Amazing Cameras
Google has outdone itself once again with the release of its latest flagship device, the Pixel 4 and 4 XL. As one of the first devices to feature a new finish on just black, this phone is sure to turn heads. The shiny reflective material that adorns the device's surface is truly stunning, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. For instance, the two-tone matte version available on older models may be prone to attracting fingerprints, which could be a major drawback for some users.
One of the standout features of the Pixel 4 and 4 XL is its camera system. With the ability to take high-quality photos and videos, this device is sure to appeal to photography enthusiasts. However, Google has made an interesting decision with regards to uploading capabilities on the new devices. Unlike previous models, such as the Pixel 3 and 3XL, which were limited to high quality uploads, the Pixel 4 and 4 XL come with three months of free Google Photos subscription, allowing users to upload full-quality photos and videos to the cloud.
This decision may seem puzzling, especially considering that devices like the Pixel 3 and 3XL had been limited to 64GB or 128GB storage space. However, as the company's spokesperson pointed out, this is largely a reflection of how people use their devices in reality. If you're someone who only takes a few photos or videos, then the lack of cloud storage may not be an issue. But for those who take hundreds of photos and videos, having more storage space could be crucial.
Another notable feature of the Pixel 4 and 4 XL is its motion sensor. This allows users to control their device using hand gestures, which can be a convenient and intuitive way to navigate through menus and adjust settings. The motion sensor also works in games, making it easier for players to interact with their devices. For example, in a game called "Heads Up," players can hang out with a virtual bird and boost it by swiping at the screen.
In addition to its camera capabilities and motion sensing features, the Pixel 4 and 4 XL also come equipped with advanced alarm features. When an alarm goes off, the device's noise levels are automatically adjusted to be softer when you reach for it, making it easier on the ears. You can also swipe away the alarm, which adds a touch of politeness to the device.
The Pixel 4 and 4 XL also come in different colors, with the white and black versions being available at all times. However, if you want the Oso Orange color, you'll have to be quick, as it's only available as a limited edition release. The devices themselves are also similar in terms of design, except for size and battery capacity.
One notable difference between the two devices is the camera bump on the Pixel 4 XL. While this may seem like an aesthetic difference at first glance, it actually marks a significant shift in Google's approach to device design. Apple has long been criticized for its lack of innovation when it comes to device design, but Google's decision to introduce the notch on the Pixel 4 and 4 XL is a bold move that sets the company apart from its competitors.
In terms of performance, the Pixel 4 and 4 XL are both fast and responsive devices. Whether you opt for the smaller Pixel 4 or the larger Pixel 4 XL, you can expect a seamless user experience. The device's software is also highly intuitive, making it easy to navigate and use.
Overall, the Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL are two revolutionary devices that set a new standard for smartphones. With their amazing cameras, motion sensing features, and advanced alarm capabilities, these devices are sure to appeal to photography enthusiasts and tech-savvy users alike. Whether you opt for the smaller Pixel 4 or the larger Pixel 4 XL, you can't go wrong with either choice.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwelcome to a special episode of Alphabet City I'm your guide I as a cure but nobody cares you're here for the pixel poor in the for Excel happen to be up the event and I'm gonna let you know the answer this question should you upgrade to a pixel 4 or 4 XL today now quick word of warning this is based on my first impressions this is not a review because technically reviews aren't allowed till a certain other date so come back to seeing that to find out more about the pixel for now I've got here two of the versions of the phone you got the 4 and the 4 XL you can see the square camera bump you know if your compared to an iPhone that looks pretty nice now spec wise the 4 and the 4 XL are almost identical the difference is the screen size and the battery otherwise everything that's on the 4 is on the 4 XL and vice versa that means you want to take really fancy photos you can do that did talk to Google and I asked hey are this crazy camera functions coming too older pixels this said yes but there'll be someone limited because of the power of the 4 XL is what makes those photos so much better if you look in the upgrade based on design look the Google pixels are kind of on the drab side compared to the 3 to 3 a they kind of look the same but that's not what's important about Google phones it's the hardware inside at this point if you want to use Google assistant when you're offline things like turning on a timer or do something like that you can do that without a network connection on these devices that's because the pixel 4 and 4 XL has some serious power on the inside all right guys it's for me I have the pixel for the excel I think this is a 3 X L 3 Axl I just talked to a bunch of different people about what's the difference between the 4 and the 3 and legitimately the biggest thing is that assistant is apparently much faster there's a lot smarter show me pictures from August it has actually taken me to the photos app now previously in older versions of assistants you wouldn't see this you would see this dialog with Google assistants I'm gonna pick one share what Brian just have the ability to quickly send and share things using your voice that's pretty cool all right if you look for a crazy reason upgrade you've got to look at projects so leave now called motion sense that allows you to interact the phone without touching it now one of the main things is when I reached for it actually it senses and I'm here is trying to unlock the phone that's a pretty cool thing that you don't need to learn actually the phone knows you now Google said you could go ahead and change music tracks using motion sense motion sense will also work in games take a look at this game called headed south you can hang out with this bird and you want to boost you got a swipe I wasn't exactly an expert at this but it actually seems pretty fun now motion sensor also works on alarms check this out as an alarm goes off it's really loud as I reach for it the noise gets softer can also swipe away this alarm google call that a more polite phone I think it is one of the differences between the four and the three is this new finish on just black you can see that it's this really really shiny reflective material you look at the older models give this two-tone matte version this guy is gonna be a fingerprint magnet to be sure now on the left of the four XL and on the right you have the three XL you can see the 4 XL is a tiny bit taller but it seems as though the four XL is a little narrower so it's a little bit of a larger phone in one direction and not in the other when I first saw the camera bump on the pixel 4 and the leeks I thought hey that's pretty ugly you know what Apple showed me what ugly really was now these two colors the white and the black will be available all the time but if you want the Oso Orange Google send it to the limited edition so you wanted a reason to get a brand new pixel 4 and you want an orange now is your chance but one of the things we have to know about the pixel 4 and 4 XL if he's amazing cameras right quite great cameras Google decided that with the 4 and 4 XL you're uploading ability is limited to high quality now one of the big hooks of the pixel was hey take photos with us take videos with us and we'll upload it to the cloud at full quality 4k video and as much data as you can for photos now the 3 8 and 3 Axl had the same limitation the pixel 4 and XL come with 3 months of Google 1 so you could become subscriber to Google's pay service so you can upload full quality now why is that important for some reason in 2019 these devices come in 64 and 128 gigabytes of storage space I asked why why would you do that and flatly the guy told me it's how people use the devices now I'm really curious about that in general if you're going to talk about how amazing your camera is and Google photography who the pixel has been just fantastic I will say it's what they've done with one camera on devices like the three a excel a budget device but they did with the original pixel just phenomenal photography the fact that these great camera phones they had any Leibowitz up there so photography is important if you're limited to 128 gigabytes now maybe you are the best at taking photos and videos and you do it on the first shot first tape and it's perfect so maybe you don't take hundreds of photos it just seems like a really bizarre choice at this point also no 5g variant there's no 5g minute of the floor so maybe if you have something like a pixel three moving into fours and make a lot of sense you get pixel two probably makes more sense to go with a better screen much faster assistants don't forget if you want to get the latest Android as soon as possible you should get a pixel flat out they are hard to beat to get the latest Android last year when Google introduced the three they put it on a Black Friday sale so maybe hold off watch our full review find out what to think of it because there's no reason to pay full price for a boo-boo pixel starts at $7.99 for this 64 gigabyte version I can't believe I'm saying that in 2019 should you upgrade if you have let's say an original Google pixel upgrade if you have a Motorola clamshell flip phone like a razor of vc3 get it otherwise if you have any phones in the past two years maybe hold off at this point I do commend Google for its decision to go notch this this year the fact these devices aren't exactly the same except for size and batteries that's also awesome there's no real differences between the two devices so you can get into $7.99 and we'll say the small one very comfortable to hold very responsive very fast I've been talking about how it actually operates it's fast of course it's fast it's a new phone I'm gonna spend some more time with the fix before it get to know it better you've got questions let me know if you've enjoyed your stay in Alphabet City please
