The iPhone 10 Leather Case: A Review
I recently picked up the official Apple leather case for my iPhone 10 at the Apple Store, and I was excited to put it to the test. The case comes in nine different colors, but unfortunately, they didn't have the charcoal gray color I had my eye on. Instead, I opted for this one, which looked great and seemed like a good fit.
The packaging of the case is simple yet effective. To open it, you just need to push or pull it really hard, and it will pop open. Inside, you'll find the leather case itself, which feels premium and high-quality. The box that comes with it is also nice, but unfortunately, that's about all you get - no instructions or accessories.
As I put the case on my phone, I was pleased to see that it fit really well. The cutouts for the camera, speaker, and other features are perfectly placed, and the case feels snug and secure around the phone. One thing I noticed is that the buttons on the side of the case feel like metal, which is a nice touch compared to some of the more generic silicone cases out there.
One feature that I particularly liked about this case was the microfiber lining inside it. This helps to keep your phone clean and free from dust and dirt, and it also feels soft and comfortable against my skin. The leather itself is genuine, which gives the case a nice weight and texture that you don't often find in more budget-friendly options.
I did have one issue with the case - its fit. I had someone tell me that their cases didn't fit well, but fortunately, mine seems to be a good size for my phone. The cutouts for the camera and other features are perfectly placed, which helps to prevent any gaps or bulges around the edges of the screen.
Another feature that impressed me about this case was its design. On one side, you'll find metal buttons that feel like they belong on a high-end smartphone. These buttons respond just like the ones on my phone, and they give a nice tactile sensation when pressed. The case also has a lip around the front that helps to protect it from scratches and drops.
One of the things I love about this case is its durability. It's made from genuine leather, which means it will develop a nice weathered look over time. This can be both good and bad - on the one hand, it gives the case a unique and stylish appearance that many people find appealing. On the other hand, it may mean that the case becomes too worn and faded for some users.
Despite its high price point, I have to say that I'm really happy with this case. It's well-made, durable, and feels premium in my hands. The fact that it comes in nine different colors means there's something for everyone, and the metal buttons on one side add a nice touch of sophistication to the design.
One last thing to mention is that this case works perfectly with wireless charging. I didn't test it out extensively to see if it would interfere with my phone's ability to charge wirelessly, but based on what I've seen so far, it seems like it should be completely compatible.
If you're in the market for a new iPhone case and want something that feels premium and high-quality, I highly recommend checking out this leather case. It may not be the cheapest option out there, but its durability and style make it well worth the investment. expensive $49 plus tax and it comes in 9 different colors this was one of the few they had available at the Apple store in fact I liked the charcoal gray color that they had but it just wasn't available so I picked this one up now the packaging you can just push or pull really hard and it pops open and then this is the leather case now I used it for a full day and it's designed to wear over time and you'll see there's some some markings on here inside the box that's all you get you've got this nice box and that's it so we'll set that aside and the case for me seems to fit pretty nice and I'll show you that in a moment but not only do you have your normal cutouts as you would expect it is a genuine leather and you have on the side you have metal buttons so unlike the silicone case where it's just silicone you've got metal buttons here and on this side as well so instead of just the silicone buttons you've got metal buttons right there and the cutout is what you'd expect you've got a nice microfiber lining in here and it's just leather so let's go ahead and place it on the phone now in my case it's fit it's fit is really nice I had someone comment that their cases did not fit well let me put it in place here and it fits really well the cutout are on the camera is really nice as you can see here and it gives you a little bit of a gap when you've got it on the table so that the camera lens doesn't touch anything that it's sitting on around the side on the front you've got lay on the table protection so you've got a little bit of a lip so if you were to set it face down it's not going to scratch the screen on whatever it's sitting on and then you've got the nice metal buttons and the buttons are nice to push they feel just like you're pushing the regular buttons on the phone and that's a little bit of an extra touch that you don't see with too many other case companies you've got nice access to your sleeps or vibrate switch here and then your sleep wake button / Siri and Apple pay button now feels the same as well now the only way to tell what color this iPhone is is the bottom right here where it's cut out so you've got access to your lightning connector obviously and your speaker and your microphone and then that's the only way you can tell what color it is because it's covered around the whole outside of the phone it fits really well it feels good in the hand and it's it's genuine leather like I said so it will wear over time now I did a video sometime ago where I showed a phone screen I repaired on an iPhone 6 or 6s I don't remember which but it was using one of these leather cases and it was incredibly worn over time it absorbs oil from your hands it gets scuffs and a lot of people like that worn look and so it does definitely show that wear of the phone or the wear of the case and that where obviously isn't moving to your phone it's protecting your phone but it's got a nice weathered look to it over time and just after one day use like I said you've got these different wear marks in here and I think it looks pretty good obviously if this isn't the color you like there's a bunch to choose from everything from red to blue to gray and almost a fuchsia pink that you've got as well one thing I forgot to mention is this will work just fine with wireless charging that's it for the leather case I'll link it in the description below so you can check it out as well you can get them at your regular Apple store many times other stores have them as well let me know your thoughts about it though in the comments below
