EGGS Benedict with a Secret Twist

The Art of Creating the Perfect Eggs Benedict Sandwich on a Bagel

Hey guys, like everybody else, I love breakfast and I love eggs benedict for breakfast. But I wanted something with a bit of a different twist, so I decided to do up this eggs benedict sandwich on a bagel that came out absolutely fantastic.

The first thing you want to do is add some butter - a good knob of butter to a pan over medium heat and let it melt down. Grab your bagel and dip it into an egg mixture just to beat an egg really, and that's going to give it that eggy effect. You don't have to do this, but I really like it done this way.

We're using an everything bagel, which works much better once that bagel and egg is beautifully toasted up. Now some people might say why aren't you using an English muffin? Well, my opinion is they're way too small. Bagels work much better for this eggs benedict sandwich on a bagel.

I'm just going to set them aside on a plate with a bit more oil or a bit of oil in the pan - we're going to fry up our wonderfully yummy female bacon. Now, I know in some countries you can't get female bacon; it's kind of a Canadian product, but you can use Parma ham, deli ham, um just anything you'd normally put on eggs benedict.

Our ever so delicious female bacon is done - now we're going to add water and vinegar to the pan. This just stops the eggs from sticking, and we'll bring it to a boil, then slip our eggs in and let them poach for three minutes. I always use a bowl when poaching eggs; it just stops the egg from breaking, and that's totally ruins the poached steak.

Now that our eggs are cooking, let's move on to the bacon. We'll add more water and vinegar to the pan - we're going to get these perfectly cooked eggs, nice and fluffy. Then we'll put that wonderful female bacon on the bottom of our bagel, and it just fits perfectly after three minutes.

Now that we have our eggs and bacon ready, let's make up our Hyundai sauce by adding a quarter cup of butter or half a stick to a pan and letting it melt down with half a cup of water. We're only using half a pouch here because you know it's just for two eggs; I don't need the full pouch. This has come to a boil, and we're just going to continue to mix this and whisk and stir until it becomes smooth and creamy.

Our Hollandaise sauce is just about perfect - look at it! It's gonna be so yummy. Now it's time to add that Hollandaise sauce over our egg, and let's not forget a little crack of salt and some ground black pepper. There you have it, our perfect eggs benedict sandwich on a bagel.

Finally, let's put the top on this and try our sandwich - just look at it! It's absolutely incredible. This is so good; the bagel with that egg on top of it, the poached egg, the Hollandaise sauce... this is the best breakfast you'll ever have. A little bit sloppy, but so so good. You gotta make this so good!
