The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has Just Been Announced: A New Era of Mobile Gaming?

As I, Saf, sit here on SuperSaf TV in Hawaii at the Snapdragon summit, I am excited to share with you all the latest news and updates about the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. My friends Fisher, Thunder, Lightning, Thomas, Safwan, Justine, and Enobong have gathered around me to share their thoughts and opinions on this exciting new chip.

For those who are new to mobile gaming, let's talk about what makes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 so special. For me, one of the highlights is battery life. I like my phones to last a long time, and with the efficient processor of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, I was already impressed. But the new Gen 2 takes it to a whole new level! With its even more efficient design, I can expect my phone to last longer than ever before. This is especially important for me since I carry a small battery with me at all times.

Another highlight that stands out to me is the sound system. As the sound man on SuperSaf TV, I have to say that I'm loving the new Snapdragon sound features. With dynamic head tracking and special audio, this chip is capable of producing some truly amazing sound effects. And if you pair it with an S3 or S5 Gen 2 powered earphone or speaker, the results are simply magical! The lower latency, particularly for gaming, is also a major plus. I mean, who doesn't want to press fire and instantly see the effect? No lag, no problem!

But what really gets me excited about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is its AI capabilities. Specifically, the semantic segmentation AI filter is a game-changer. This technology uses real-time AI to analyze images and provide better vision. It's like having a superpower in your phone! I can already imagine the possibilities - from improved camera features to enhanced gaming experiences.

Now, let's talk about the camera. The new always-sensing camera is a welcome addition to any smartphone. No longer do you need to open your camera app to take a photo; just point at what you want to capture, and voila! Your phone will automatically recognize the object or scene in front of you and fire up the link. I'm a bit of a nerd, so this feature gets me really excited!

As we wrap up our conversation about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, I have to ask: what do you guys think? Do you have any questions or opinions about this new chip? Share them with us in the comments below! And if you haven't already, be sure to subscribe and hit that bell icon so you can catch more content like this. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you next time on SuperSaf TV.

And finally, a quick aside: I have to say that I'm loving the new AI real-time semantic tech. It's like having a superpower in your phone! Using this technology, there's a really cool filter called the [filter name] that is capable of producing amazing results. With it, you can get better vision and improved image quality. It's truly mind-blowing stuff!

So, how do I think the new chipset will help with gaming? Unfortunately, my friend Enobong has to be honest - no chipset can help his gaming. But we're all excited to see what the future holds for mobile gaming with this new chip.

As we conclude our discussion on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, I have to say that I'm impressed by the company's efforts to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible in mobile technology. With its impressive features, improved performance, and exciting AI capabilities, this chip is sure to revolutionize the world of mobile gaming.

So, are you ready to upgrade your phone with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2? Let me know your thoughts!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en- What's up guys?Saf here on SuperSaf TV.And I'm in Hawaii forthe Snapdragon summit. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2has just been announced.Let's talk to some of myfriends and see what they think.(upbeat electronic music)- Fisher.- Saf.- Thunder.- Lightning. So you get it.- Thomas- Safwan.(laughing together)- Justine.- Hi.- So-(Saf wheezes)- Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.- Yes indeed.- What would you say are your highlights?- So I'm boring or I'm weird. On the boring side, I like myphones to last a long time.Battery, big batteryhelps with that for surebut it's not the only factor. You need an efficient processor. As we learned with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1,very, very efficient.Saved us an awful lot ofbattery and a lot of handsets. This one is of course even more efficientthan that so I'm looking forwardto my phone lasting longer,'cause I carry a phonewith a small battery.- I hear you're the sound man.- It's a good title.I do sound, I like the sound of it.- What stands out to you?- It's caught some quite bigones with the Snapdragon sound. We've got dynamic headtracking with special audio. We've got Lossless audioover Bluetooth LE now, which is new.And also Aura Cast, you can send yourwhat you're listening to, tomultiple sets of headphonesso you don't have to keeptaking your headset outand sharing with someone else. And also lower latency, particularly for gamingdown to 48 milliseconds. So, if you've got a Gen 2 powered phoneand also an S3 or S5 Gen 2powered earphone, headphoneor speaker together, there's some magic there.- What would you say arethe highlights for youfor the 8 Gen 2?- For me I think it's definitely AI.So semantic segmentationAI filter is really coolbecause it actually is being able to takeall of the parts of thephoto, break it downand figure out what each thing isand then make it look the bestas possible for your photo. So this type of AI I think iskind of like a hands off AIso it's where people don't really realizethat it's happening in the background.- Yeah, like we have to spendso much time editing in postwhereas now, you can just snapand let your device doall the work for you.The 8 Gen 2 comes with arange of gaming features. What are your highlights?- First of all,I like the fact that you'vegot 25% better performanceyear over year, which is pretty cool. But the biggest thing is ray-tracing,hardware ray-tracing.Which is actually very nice, you know.So it means you're goingto get just, you know, better visual crisp, crispiergraphics, if you will. And then the other underlying featurethat I think a lot of people might miss,is the fact that it's alsogot really good optimizationwith Unreal Engine 5 mobile. For, you know, better textures as well.So better textures, youknow, better performance. It just means your games will look better. Now, what I want to see is developersand of course manufacturerstake advantage of thisbecause if you're gettinga device with you know,Snapdragon 8 Gen 2,you're going to getawesome gaming performanceand you know I love that.- Anything else thatreally stands out to you?- Yeah, I'm weird, like I say. There's this feature Dual SIMDual Standby for 5G though.Apparently, this is the first chip setthat is going to enableDual SIM Dual Standby on 5Gon both sim slots. So you can have two 5G simsin there at the same time, active at the same time. That's pretty cool.- And can Snapdragonsound help your videos?- Nothing can help my videos.- I thought so.- The horizon lock whichgives you stabilization, that was pretty cool.- That's pretty amazing as well. And as a content creator, being able to just have a devicethat's able to give you thathorizon lock and just knowthat you're shooting great content,I mean that saves usso much time in editing- Anything that makesour lives easier, right?- For sure.- So with having ray-tracingin the palm of your hands on gaming, how does that affectyour gaming experience?- Well, it means better visual fidelity. You know, some games whereyou've got darker environmentsbecause of ray-tracing and beingable to see better shadows,so you can find the enemieshiding in the corneror the developer can placethings in certain areasmaking the game more immersive. So, those are the kind ofthings I think you'll getinto more deeper gameplay, in experiences.- Personally, what stands out to you most?- The most obvious one forme is the lower latency. It is a big deal when itcomes to mobile gaming.Like you want to press fire, you want to press go,whatever it is on your game. You want it to be instantly in your earyou don't want that lag.So the drop down from roughlyaround 300 millisecondsdown to about 48,with regular Bluetooth connections,it's a big drop in latency. It's pretty exciting.- 8K HDR video, can yousee yourself using that?- Oh I mean, of course.I mean, I was shooting 4Kbefore anyone was shooting 4K,and I still sometimes do shoot 8K now.And I think being able tofuture proof your contentis really important.Because if you're alreadyshooting in 8K nowat some point everyone's goingto be viewing things in 8K.- Anything in the camera side of things?- Yeah, the always-sensing camera, rebranded from the always-oncamera of last year.I wasn't too into it lastyear, I was like whatever. And the use-case that popped into my heador was announced was QR codes. You don't have to open your camera, you point at a QR menuor a QR code or anything, your phone already knowswhat it's looking at.Fires up that link justlike a tri-quarter.I'm a nerd, what can I say?I love additionalcapabilities in my phones.- And that is the QualcommSnapdragon 8 Gen 2.If you want to find out more about itthere will be a link downin the description below. There'll also be linksto all of my friendsthat took part in this video. You can check out their channels, too. What do you guys think ofthe Snapdragon 8 Gen 2?Drop me a comment below, let me know your thoughts.I hope you enjoyed thisvideo and find it useful. If you did, don't forget tosmash that like button for me.And if you haven't alreadythen do consider subscribingand hit that bell iconso you can catch more content like this. Thanks for watching. This is Saf on SuperSaf TVand I'll see you next time.(beep)- So there's this techcalled AI realtime semantic. So using realtime AI s-So using this realtime AI seg-So there's this really coolfilter that is called the-(Justine laughs)So using the real time AI seg- oh my god!- I mean it means better vision. It means better visual-It means better visual.(Enobong stutters)- Got to breathe in.- It's okay, you got this triangle here?Yeah, yeah, that's it.Slims you down. How you doing?Welcome back to the fitness summit.Right? How you doing, Saf?(Saf inhales sharply)- No chipset can help hisgaming, unfortunately.(Saf and Enobong laughing)\n"
