My macro list and bind so my macro list on board basically to what I'm going to do so I set my profile to whichever game I want it to be and set up what I want to add here for my macro so that I'm able to punish people in the game in a way that I wasn't able to before and here you can see you can add or import so anybody else has custom setups for certain games which who knows that is definitely got to be out there for this feature to be in so I would just go and find an import, import the file, bring it into here, put it into the keyboard settings, apply, and I have those settings ready to go. Just the way someone else has done all the work for me. My buddy has thrown me towards the Ebga products and said hey man you got to check it out a bit so here I am, I'm checking it out so now what I'm going to do, I'm going to go do some gaming on it and I'm going to come back and give you my thoughts.

So we're back and I got to tell you the software is actually really cool. It allows me to pretty much go through the same lighting modes there are color changes I can make. I can sweep it from right to left or left to right, those are neat things I can change in the software that you cannot change with the function and your lighting modes. Um, you can change it to be static whatever and you can also have nine different profiles so profile one, profile two, profile different lighting and different whatever there are nine different profiles also in your macro settings. So it's pretty cool.

What you can do and you'll need the software to do it right and easier gaming on it made me feel like I was using my merc stealth again mainly because of the feel of the keyboard. The keyboard gives me that uh old school merc stealth feel that I miss I miss it so much, and that is a pretty awesome thing to have.

Now one thing I will say here keep in mind that you can customize this keyboard. I can take the caps that are on my Steel Series or my extra caps the CS:GO caps whatever I want and put them on here. So keep that in mind you don't need to have a mechanical keyboard as the Z12 is the introduction level from Evga at this point, which in my opinion blows away you know most hundred dollar keyboards this keyboard is in the league of its own.

It was just one of those things I was going through checking flash sales and these guys had it and apparently it's still on because I can still see the keyboard out there. I believe it's around $50 USD for this keyboard normally and to get it for around 22 dollars is an absolute absolute steal.

Anyway, guys overall this keyboard feel fit finish is to be expected of what Evga has done in the past I'm very impressed with it. I don't want to go on any further it's a damn keyboard it works it's good it's not going to let you down it just looks like a keyboard to get into gaming and destroy your victims or your enemies have some fun, and feel good about it like this keyboard really does feel good.

design but it gives you the versatility of most mechanical keyboards what i mean by that is you still have your programmable keys so you can program different things and variations you want to do in games but this also has cherry style keycaps so you can remove them put all new caps on customize just as if it was a mechanical keyboard so all the benefits and features of the mechanical keyboard the lights the keycaps and so on without the noise so of course once you get the box out of the box you have another box to open all right little flap here it's actually well i like the box i mean i know it sounds stupid but it's nicely packed all right let's just get this out get this out of the way all right so once you get in there is a z12 quick guide um like just about anything i guess because you can program your macro keys uh your num lock it just points out a bunch of stuff like e-game mode so maybe they turn some sort of a mode on for you using the z12 rgb gaming keyboard so it just gives you a breakdown of certain features that are on this design and well i'm just waiting to try it out and game on it and see what it's like uh this keyboard i haven't figured out what it may go on right now but it might go in project ripper for my new editing computer i just love the full size keyboard and right now i'm using a keyboard that stops right about here which is mechanical but sometimes it's beneficial to have these extra keys now pressing them they're still okay on the smaller buttons what you'd expect to hear so not too loud on the bigger you still get that kind of mechanical clicky sound so it's kind of like my merc stealth where it was a hybrid it was a what i would call a mechanical knot but membrane system this is identical feels identical which is really nice because i really miss that feel they're the travel is nice so you don't have to yeah the travel is actually really nice and you're not going to get the same fatigue you want on a cheap keyboard where your your pressing is a little i don't know um a little bit more work as such the cable the cable is decently long it's cloth braided of course with that fancy you know zip i love these things i would have wished that was aluminum that would have been such a cool i guess it's a 70 keyboard factory so what do you expect right so now we look at the top part here there is nothing and so there's no extra you know gadgets on the keyboard like that and when we flip it over we're greeted with the flip outs if you're one of those that need your keyboard up in the air and it looks like it has two different heights as you can see here i can leave this piece here out or flip that down so you have two different heights i've actually not ever seen that in a keyboard before so that is really cool the texture on the bottom is really neat it's a little you know going above and beyond because i hope the camera's picking it up because we really don't need the bottom to look cool but this one does you have rubber feet five of them so there's no slipping going on okay so right off the bat we are greeted with quite a little light show here i'm going to turn off the uh stage light so that we can see things a bit better i hope that's taking a good gander at that so i'm going to tip the keyboard's feet up to get that better angle there we go so now i have it on the highest setting just because well it looks better on camera uh another thing we're gonna do let's see how bright this is on camera in the dark oh that's nice now i don't know about the modes yet but it would have been nice to uh you know have some really cool modes where you hit and it does splash like my my steel series uh keyboard does but i mean again we're talking a 200 keyboard versus a 80 keyboard at top dollar so you have a function button right here and if you want to decrease or brighten your keyboard you can go or off up and downs right here when pressing function as you can see i'm making it brighter and brighter and brighter to its maxed right setting now if i want to change the rgb i press function and there's nine modes so if i go like this we change the mode like this we change the mode again oh i guess that turned it off oh no the mode is when you hit the key see this there we go that's what i was talking about that really cool little feature that is really really neat nice to see on a keyboard like this so your keyboard isn't even lit until you're hitting the oh that is sweet and that might be where i will put it that is so cool so let's try number three so function and now it's red so it looks like it's just red i don't know if it's going to change colors we'll let it sit for a second so red so that's also really cool having the solid colors and i'm gonna guess that we're gonna get more of that oh now it's breathing through different colors on number four that's kind of cool instead of being like the rainbowy thing so it kind of gives you that it would be really cool i want to see if there's a mode for that we're going to go to number five oh so it's like a gradual change see that gradual change instead of a breathing mode i'm going to hit the keys again nothing normal happens number six okay so i guess now we're in a swing mode which is kind of like my red dragon mechanical keyboard does all the time i think there's a few modes in that too but anyway it it just pretty much does this wave and again it looks like it's going over and then back is that what's happening yeah so it's going this way and swinging back this way pretty cool now we're back to doing this i think that would be the last one so what do i think about the rgb lighting in a keyboard that is non-mechanical and being able to do that is really cool i always find that keyboards today when you get like an rgb keyboard this is more argb you see how it changes so this is argb um an rgb keyboard or an argb cube or like a cheaper model of a keyboard would just kind of be like you know uh sweeping or off or maybe brightness there's not much to it this one at least gives you some cool designs some cool things to go through so for that definitely a thumbs up really nice keyboard feels good now also you have your play functions and and mute button and everything over here um your typical you know your print screen scroll lock and page and stuff like that um overall the keyboard definitely has everything you're looking for and you'll also see i don't know if the keyboard or you're seeing on camera but like let's say number four has pf4 these are all programmable buttons okay along with e1 e2 e3 e4 e5 now they might be for programming different modes when you hit your e that i'm going to check into okay another really cool thing is you can download the evga rgb software i'm not sure if that also has your keyboard layouts and stuff in it but that is something cool so there's possibly some other really cool features that are possibly able to be done on this keyboard a quick note there's something i want to point out here so i'm installing the evga's uh unleashed rgb software which also controls your macros and everything and it detected that the keyboard needed a firmware update so it's actually doing an update right now so i just wanted to point that out real quick because that is awesome so i don't know if it's actually going to change the lighting and everything but we'll go through that once this is all done and i'll give you my thoughts still i just wanted to intervene and talk about that so this software will allow you to alter your lighting alter your macro keys and so on and there's a bunch of different things that can do including like i said it updated the keyboard that's absolutely beautiful right here we are taking a look i just wanted to show the software a little bit just to give you an idea and of course you can see that it's going right to left for example if i want to change the direction now i can go left to right this software is kind of neat i mean it's simplistic it does what you need it to do and that's all that really matters you have your color variations here and you have different profiles which is technically the same profiles that the keyboard has using the function the only difference here is you can create your profile so when you go to that mode it's what you want so if you want to be static well you can set your static to be whatever color so that way it's the color you want when it's static and not just red like it was so that is interchangeable here and that is a really cool feature because on the f key and changing the mode you just get the color red from default but you can fix that here you can also select what profile you're going to save things to so like i said you have nine profiles i'm not sure what the setup does here we can take a look start with os okay so here you can have your language everything last checked you can see that i checked the uh the software actually checked and did a factory uh firmware update on the 26 2021 so again like i said the day after christmas firmware 0.19 so this is really cool and if you want to go factory reset you can reset the keyboard i know seems weird but it's here now uh in your general settings it's just basically configure your key so if you want it on the left or you want it on the right you can actually take the key off move it and change where your function and your window key is really kind of neat kind of different game mode disables keys so if you disable keys you can disable different keys here if that key is also an issue for example if you hit a key and it sends you back to windows or crashes your game or brings up something stupid and annoys the hell out of you disable it again you can pick your profile key assignment so you have primary okay and you can remap you can do everything here i'm not going to get into that but you can do everything you want to do here right down to calculator you can just your primary and secondary so in secondary you can have another setup and you can change all your mapping as well and then your macro editor so in here you would uh i guess pick what you want here out or flip that down so you have two different heights i've actually not ever seen that in a keyboard before so that is really cool the texture on the bottom is really neat it's a little you know going above and beyond because i hope the camera's picking it up because we really don't need the bottom to look cool but this one does you have rubber feet five of them so there's no slipping going on okay so right off the bat we are greeted with quite a little light show here i'm going to turn off the uh stage light so that we can see things a bit better i hope that's taking a good gander at that so i'm going to tip the keyboard's feet up to get that better angle there we go so now i have it on the highest setting just because well it looks better on camera uh another thing we're gonna do let's see how bright this is on camera in the dark oh that's nice now i don't know about the modes yet but it would have been nice to uh you know have some really cool modes where you hit and it does splash like my my steel series uh keyboard does but i mean again we're talking a 200 keyboard versus a 80 keyboard at top dollar so you have a function button right here and if you want to decrease or brighten your keyboard you can go or off up and downs right here when pressing function as you can see i'm making it brighter and brighter and brighter to its maxed right setting now if i want to change the rgb i press function and there's nine modes so if i go like this we change the mode like this we change the mode again oh i guess that turned it off oh no the mode is when you hit the key see this there we go that's what i was talking about that really cool little feature that is really really neat nice to see on a keyboard like this so your keyboard isn't even lit until you're hitting the oh that is sweet and that might be where i will put it that is so cool so let's try number three so function and now it's red so it looks like it's just red i don't know if it's going to change colors we'll let it sit for a second so red so that's also really cool having the solid colors and i'm gonna guess that we're gonna get more of that oh now it's breathing through different colors on number four that's kind of cool instead of being like the rainbowy thing so it kind of gives you that it would be really cool i want to see if there's a mode for that we're going to go to number five oh so it's like a gradual change see that gradual change instead of a breathing mode i'm going to hit the keys again nothing normal happens number six okay so i guess now we're in a swing mode which is kind of like my red dragon mechanical keyboard does all the time i think there's a few modes in that too but anyway it it just pretty much does this wave and again it looks like it's going over and then back is that what's happening yeah so it's going this way and swinging back this way pretty cool now we're back to doing this i think that would be the last one so what do i think about the rgb lighting in a keyboard that is non-mechanical and being able to do that is really cool i always find that keyboards today when you get like an rgb keyboard this is more argb you see how it changes so this is argb um an rgb keyboard or an argb cube or like a cheaper model of a keyboard would just kind of be like you know uh sweeping or off or maybe brightness there's not much to it this one at least gives you some cool designs some cool things to go through so for that definitely a thumbs up really nice keyboard feels good now also you have your play functions and and mute button and everything over here um your typical you know your print screen scroll lock and page and stuff like that um overall the keyboard definitely has everything you're looking for and you'll also see i don't know if the keyboard or you're seeing on camera but like let's say number four has pf4 these are all programmable buttons okay along with e1 e2 e3 e4 e5 now they might be for programming different modes when you hit your e that i'm going to check into okay another really cool thing is you can download the evga rgb software i'm not sure if that also has your keyboard layouts and stuff in it but that is something cool so there's possibly some other really cool features that are possibly able to be done on this keyboard a quick note there's something i want to point out here so i'm installing the evga's uh unleashed rgb software which also controls your macros and everything and it detected that the keyboard needed a firmware update so it's actually doing an update right now so i just wanted to point that out real quick because that is awesome so i don't know if it's actually going to change the lighting and everything but we'll go through that once this is all done and i'll give you my thoughts still i just wanted to intervene and talk about that so this software will allow you to alter your lighting alter your macro keys and so on and there's a bunch of different things that can do including like i said it updated the keyboard that's absolutely beautiful right here we are taking a look i just wanted to show the software a little bit just to give you an idea and of course you can see that it's going right to left for example if i want to change the direction now i can go left to right this software is kind of neat i mean it's simplistic it does what you need it to do and that's all that really matters you have your color variations here and you have different profiles which is technically the same profiles that the keyboard has using the function the only difference here is you can create your profile so when you go to that mode it's what you want so if you want to be static well you can set your static to be whatever color so that way it's the color you want when it's static and not just red like it was so that is interchangeable here and that is a really cool feature because on the f key and changing the mode you just get the color red from default but you can fix that here you can also select what profile you're going to save things to so like i said you have nine profiles i'm not sure what the setup does here we can take a look start with os okay so here you can have your language everything last checked you can see that i checked the uh the software actually checked and did a factory uh firmware update on the 26 2021 so again like i said the day after christmas firmware 0.19 so this is really cool and if you want to go factory reset you can reset the keyboard i know seems weird but it's here now uh in your general settings it's just basically configure your key so if you want it on the left or you want it on the right you can actually take the key off move it and change where your function and your window key is really kind of neat kind of different game mode disables keys so if you disable keys you can disable different keys here if that key is also an issue for example if you hit a key and it sends you back to windows or crashes your game or brings up something stupid and annoys the hell out of you disable it again you can pick your profile key assignment so you have primary okay and you can remap you can do everything here i'm not going to get into that but you can do everything you want to do here right down to calculator you can just your primary and secondary so in secondary you can have another setup and you can change all your mapping as well and then your macro editor so in here you would uh i guess pick what you want to be in playback options macro edit and so on and again one to nine so there's a bunch of things you can do here so your macro list and bind so your macro list on board basically to what you're going to do so you set your profile to whichever game you want it to be and set up what you want to add here for your macro so that you're able to punish people in the game in a way that you weren't able to before and here you can see you can add or import so anybody else has custom setups for certain games which who knows that is definitely got to be out there for this feature to be in so i would just go and find an import import the file bring it into here put it into the keyboard settings apply and i have those settings ready to go just the way someone else has done all the work for me my buddy has thrown me towards the ebga products and said hey man you got to check it out a bit so here i am i'm checking it out so now what i'm going to do i'm going to go do some gaming on it and i'm going to come back and give you my thoughts so we're back and i got to tell you the software is actually really cool it allows me to pretty much go through the same lighting modes there are color changes you can make i can sweep it from right to left or left to right those are neat things i can change in the software that you cannot change with the function and your lighting modes um you can change it to be static whatever and you can also have nine different profiles so profile one profile two profile different lighting and different whatever there are nine different profiles also in your macro settings so it's pretty cool what you can do and you'll need the software to do it right and easier gaming on it made me feel like i was using my merc stealth again mainly because of the feel of the keyboard the keyboard gives me that uh old school merc stealth feel that i miss i miss it so much and that is a pretty awesome thing to have now one thing i will say here keep in mind that you can customize this keyboard i can take the caps that are on my steel series or my extra caps the cs go caps whatever i want and put them on here so keep that in mind you don't need to have a mechanical keyboard as the z12 is the introduction level from evga at this point which in my opinion blows away you know most hundred dollar keyboards this keyboard is in the league of its own and right now i'll have a link as of this video i don't know how much longer i believe it's around 50 usd for this keyboard normally and to get it for around twenty two dollars is an absolute absolute steal anyway guys overall this keyboard feel fit finish is to be expect of what evga has done in the past i'm very impressed with it i don't want to go on any further it's a damn keyboard it works it's good it's not going to let you down it just looks like a keyboard to get into gaming and destroy your victims or your enemies or whatever you want to call them have some fun and feel good about it like this keyboard really does feel good so guys thank you for watching if
