**The Long Night: A JZX 100 ECU Miracle**
It was one of those all-nighter sessions where everything seemed to be going wrong, but Trevor's spare ECU just might change that. Pulled from his own collection, it was a rare find around these parts, and we were willing to try anything at this point. As the hours ticked by, our spirits began to flag, but then, like a beacon of hope, the ECU started to show promise.
**The Spare ECU: A Rare Commodity**
As we worked through the night, it became clear that Trevor's ECU was the only one available in the area. It wasn't much to look at, but we were willing to take a chance on it. We plugged it in, and to our surprise, the engine started to come back to life. It was like a second wind had been injected into the project, and we were all rejuvenated by the prospect of finally getting this thing running.
**The Drip, the Spark, and the Starter**
As we continued to work on the car, we discovered that the excess fuel was leaking out of the downpipe. We plugged in the coil packs and waited for the spark to ignite. Finally, it happened – the engine roared back to life, and we were all ecstatic. But just as we thought we had overcome one hurdle, another emerged: the starter wouldn't engage. Luckily, Adam's 2JZ starter worked perfectly for our 1JZ engine, and we plugged in the math to get everything sorted.
**The Turning Point**
It was at this point that things started to fall into place. The battery was weak, but with a jump start, it came back to life. We connected the wires correctly, and the starter began to turn over. It was a delicate dance of spark and power, and we were all on edge as we waited for the engine to catch. And then, just as suddenly as it had died, it roared back to life.
**The Turbo Whistle**
As the engine purred along, we couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. The turbo whistle echoed through the night air, a triumphant sound that signaled our success. It was 8:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning, and we were all still buzzing from the adrenaline of it all.
**The Cleanup**
With the engine finally running, we turned our attention to the cleanup. We mocked up intercooler piping, welded it into place, and attached clamps to keep everything in line. Alberto expertly welded up some heat shields, and we spent a few minutes tucking away vacuum hoses and wires. The TPS was next on the list, followed by the radiators and fans.
**The Morning After**
It was 9:00 a.m., and we were all still going strong. We had accomplished what seemed like an impossible task, and we couldn't believe it. As we sat back to survey our handiwork, we knew that this was just the beginning. With the engine running smoothly, we could finally start thinking about getting it on the road.
**The Thanks**
A huge thank you goes out to Alberto for his incredible help and support throughout this project. His expertise and enthusiasm were invaluable, and we couldn't have done it without him. And to our viewers, a special shout-out: we're still at 99,000 subscribers, and we can't wait to hit the 100,000 milestone. To get there, keep sharing your love of cars and join us on this journey into the world of JZXs.
**The Future**
As we looked out over our handiwork, we couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement for what's to come. We've still got work to do – plenty of it – but with the engine running smoothly, we're ready to take on whatever comes next. And who knows? Maybe tomorrow will be the day we finally get this thing on the road and can enjoy all that it has to offer. The thrill of the project was addictive, but now that it's over, we're eager for the next adventure.
