360 link 2 now check it out the first one was one of the best webcams that have been out in a few years and I've been recommending it left and right but they went ahead and they upgraded this one they changed the design added some new features but they also went ahead and dropped the price which now makes it like a no-brainer for me so if you pick one up let's take a look at what you get in the Box all right so check it out in the Box you get a few things the link to obviously uh but you also get a strong magnetic Mount you you have paperwork stickers and your markers for that smart whiteboard setup that we're going to be talking about a little bit later you also get a USBC to a adapter and you also get this really long USBC to C cable now when you take the link 2 out of the wrap you can clearly see it's an evolved version of the first one taking a quick look at it you can see on the left side we have our camera on the right we have the LED indicator so you can know what's going on and you also at the very top of it all have this big speaker Grill which is going to house your studio microphones now this whole thing is sitting on top of a gimbal so that it can smoothly follow you around now that's the body of the link to and everything you get in the box now let's talk about what it can actually do here you see it guys this thing is super compact that's a big face right there that's weird I have two JY in front so the link to is going for $200 which is quite cheaper than when the original link L came out but if you want to spend even less you've got this option this is the link to C and with this it's going to cost 149 bucks and this one doesn't have like that gimbal feature where this is able to move around and track you but it has other features to compensate for that and it also has like a built-in privacy shutter whereas with this you can click this button over here and you'll see that the insta 360 Powers off and then it automatically drops down once it detects it's not in use but one thing to note not only does it have a completely new design so right now it's actually using AI to track my movements my head uh this is really close so I'm going to go half body here so you can go ahead and you change the tracking settings so it can be your head half body or even your whole body if you're trying to do like a presentation and of course you can use the link to with whatever software you like like Zoom teams Google meet but the main thing is the quality on this is insane like look how clear this is go ahead and start recording so you guys can see this thing for yourself but this is not webcam quality and that is because they've added a/ in sensor now I know you're probably like the heck does that mean basically the bigger the sensor when it comes to cameras the better the quality you get all kinds of stuff like depth of field that blurry background that helps it to look really professional better light intake lots of good things come with a bigger sensor and a/ in sensor is great on a web Cam and it supports 4K 30 frames per second so you get that really high quality look that you guys are able to see right here but not only that it also supports HDR so let me show you guys so if I go ahead and I pull this up all right so these bright areas you see we've got this tube light over here we've got the big window and once I turn on HDR it's going to take a second to adjust but we're getting a lot more detail in that window area and those lights aren't going crazy on the side so if you happen to have like any Windows behind you and it's just like creating these giant white spots in your video that's your answer but I'm going to bring this back down for our video now it's really easy for me to say that this thing puts out amazing quality because I've got tons of light in this room but let's go ahead and see what it looks like once you kill these lights Bam Bam do we kill this one too or I feel like we need something yeah nobody's going to listen hold on nobody's not going to do everything in the dark at least turn this up a little bit and we'll turn this off oh my yeah and then you can barely tell the difference here still looks super clean just kill the lights all together see what happens W I'm clean I'm probably black over here but that's what I like about this for my folks who don't know how to tweak camera settings and all that stuff you just have it on and it'll do the rest all right let's set you back up Jay now you guys see the image quality for yourself but one other bonus here is that this thing has some crazy autofocus so I can just throw something in front of the camera focuses back to me bam so built in this thing has phase detection autofocus so you get really quick Focus now for somebody like me who's talking about like products all day this is perfect because I can just throw something in front of the camera it'll focus on it and then get back to me and it does it really quickly for me that's a big deal even if you're not product focused you know if you just want to show somebody something like yo check out this new book out bought this thing is dope and they're clearly seeing it so clearly the idea here is to get really high quality footage but maybe you like I don't know to get a little bit more depth of feeli so that blurry background so it could look really professional right uh you can actually go into the effects and turn on blur or bokeh which is a bit more natural blur is like what everybody uses on zoom and Microsoft teams and all that to me I don't like this particular effect what's nice is that you can control just how much of the effect you're using so you can change the degree of it but look at the background I'm not a fan of this at all that feature is not great on any software that I've seen so far but they've got the bul feature Which is far more natural oh you can do oh I don't think I noticed this before Jay you can do video backgrounds uh oh that's a that's a bit distracting though I I like it oh video background look it's moving this is like futuristic yeah right hello world this is your average consumer now what's also nice is that not only does it have good video capabilities but it also has good audio capabilities so check it out over here you have the audio mode and there are three to pick from you have voice Focus where it focuses more so on your own voice make sure you're the thing that's highlighted there's also voice suppression and this is with voice ression so with voice suppression it will decrease the sound in the background so your voice is the main focus and you are going to be heard very clearly and then there's music balance this is music balance so if you're a streamer you're able to have the ambient background music on and the insta 360 link to well balance your voice and the background music so your audience can enjoy both your voice and the music and I know everybody hates hearing it but it's using AI to get all of those done and it helps you guys it just helps what is nice though is if you're like doing some kind of presentation you can have their your single Focus AI but if You' got like a group maybe Jay wants to be on camera I mean you're hiding behind oh yeah there you go there you go oh I like how the exposure just changed to compensate for you as soon as you came in it just made everything a little bit darker now what's also nice is that we still have gesture controls so if you want to turn on that AI tracking all you got to do is put your palm up and you can see it snaps on I can stand up walk around if I want to turn it off it's going to lock in on me but it's not going to do that anymore so it makes it really easy if you want to do some kind of presentation there's even the ability to use whiteboards so if you want to use the Whiteboard mode you can add these little stickers and it's basically going to Showcase what is between all of those four corners so if you've got some kind of presentation that you need to show to everyone on your Zoom call this makes it really easy to do all of that and the link to has other cool features like zooming in and out with just hand gestures you can also use the hand gestures to start up that whiteboard mode too and if you happen to be like presenting something and you aren't close to your computer you can use your phone to remotely control the webcam which is something I've never seen before and last thing about tracking uh since this one isn't on a gimbal or anything and the gimbal is the part that you see moving around that little disc uh this is just the webcam but this one has autof framing so it's going to be able to intelligently you know crop in digitally and make sure you're always the focus or if you've got a group it'll crop the frame to make sure your group is in focus without needing to move around now let's say you've got something you want to present like your phone but you don't want to hold it up to the camera uh you can actually just hit desk View and the camera is going to drop down and basically you can show whatever is in front of you so it's a more natural way of talking about something like I've got the the camera here I can show you guys okay this is the insta 360 link Toc and I like that it just makes showcasing whatever you want to showcase really easy so you've got tons of ways of presenting whatever it is you need to present on camera and if you want to take it to the next level you also have this little tripod option so if you wanted to go ahead and take this off of the mount it uses magnets so it's really easy and you want to just plop it down over here you can have it like right here and still get the job done if I wanted to go live on Instagram I could do that with this you can take it into portrait mode and then boom right now I can live stream on Instagram so if you want to go live on any platform where vertical is the way to go this thing kind of handles that too so for me I've pretty much got my easy to recommend upgrade your work from home setup like I said before I've been recommending the first one which was more
