20:20 started with some great laptop announcements and despite some shortages and delays many of those are now available these are our favorite laptops of 2020 so far for this list I along with CNET's other laptop reviewers Dan Ackerman and Laura Gruening tested a bunch of laptops over the past few months and went through and selected a few of our favorites to put on your shortlist let's dig in first on the list but not in any particular order is the Dell XPS 13 we really like the whole 2020 XPS lineup but the XPS 13 has been our go-to ultra portable Windows pick for a couple years now and for 2020 Dell gave us more screen in a smaller body it has a new 13 point 4 inch display and really the thing is pretty much just a display and a keyboard and a lot of power and battery life inside

The XPS 13 is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a compact, yet powerful laptop. With its impressive battery life and long-lasting power, the XPS 13 is an excellent option for anyone looking for a reliable laptop that can keep up with their busy lifestyle.

Next up in our list of favorite laptops of 2020 is Apple's MacBook Air. The 20/20 air is a winner mostly because Apple switched to a new magic keyboard. The older butterfly keyboard design was a bit of a literal sticking point for buyers, and this new design is definitely an improvement. Apple also returned to a $9.99 starting price, which makes the least expensive laptop slightly more affordable.

The MacBook Air's sleek design and powerful performance make it a top choice for anyone looking for a reliable and portable laptop. The new magic keyboard is a game-changer, offering improved typing experience and reduced lag. With its impressive battery life and long-lasting power, the MacBook Air is an excellent option for anyone who needs a reliable laptop that can keep up with their busy lifestyle.

But what really sets the Main Gear apart from other gaming laptops on the market is its impressive specs. It's available with either an NVIDIA GeForce 16.60 TI or RTX 2070 Max Q graphics card, ensuring that it can handle even the most demanding games at high frame rates. And unlike many other gaming laptops, there's no bloatware to slow down the performance of this device.

Another standout in our list is the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15. This laptop boasts a monstrous name to match its impressive specs and features. With a 15.6-inch main display and a secondary tilting 14-inch touchscreen, it's perfect for anyone who wants to stay productive and entertained on the go. Its compact design and lightweight build make it perfect for carrying around on-the-go, while its impressive battery life ensures that you can stay productive all day long without needing to recharge.

Another standout in the Lenovo lineup is the Yoga 7i, which is one of the top-of-line premium models from the company. With a range of features such as 4K display and 360-degree hinge, this laptop offers everything you need for a top-class productivity experience.

Finally, we have a few more options that are worth mentioning. There's the Gigabyte Aorus 15G, which features a Pantone-certified display and mechanical keyboard with Omron blue switches. With its powerful specs and impressive design, it's an excellent option for anyone who wants a reliable gaming laptop that can keep up with their busy lifestyle.

And then there's the HP Envy x360, which boasts an affordable price point while still offering impressive specs such as AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Radeon RX Vega 8 graphics. With its long-lasting battery life and compact design, it's perfect for anyone who wants a reliable laptop that can keep up with their daily tasks.
