Apple Thunderbolt Display Unboxing

The Thunderbolt Display from Apple: An Unboxing and First Look

As I unboxed the Thunderbolt display from Apple, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. This unique display offers some expandability and functionality that really sets it apart from other displays on the market. And with a retail price of around $1,000, it's definitely not for those looking to pinch pennies.

The only other thing in the box besides the display is a little user manual, which I'm sure most users won't need to read. The manual provides some basic instructions on how to set up and use the display, but let's be real, you probably won't need to read it. The power cable is also included, which is about as exciting as it gets.

But the display itself is what this unboxing is all about, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on it. One of the reasons I'm so stoked about this Thunderbolt interface is that it offers expandability right on the monitor. As someone who primarily uses a MacBook Pro, I can already think of the benefits of being able to leave most of my peripherals connected to one device and then easily disconnecting them when needed. With the Thunderbolt display, I'll be able to plug in my devices and then simply pull my MacBook Pro away from the setup, removing just two cables and having access to all of the extra peripherals connected to these ports.

The back of the display reveals three USB-A ports, FireWire 800, another Thunderbolt port, and a gigabit Ethernet port. This expandability is going to be a game-changer for me, allowing me to keep my devices attached to these ports while I'm on the go. And with the ability to easily insert and remove my MacBook Pro from the setup, I'll never have to deal with tangled cables again.

One thing to note about this display is that it's not very adjustable in terms of normal monitor adjustability. There's no height adjustment, but it does have a little tilt to it. I've gotten used to this with most Apple monitors over the years, where you sacrifice a bit of adjustability for a sleek and modern design. And as an added bonus, the display comes with an iSight camera and microphone, which is perfect for video conferencing or recording on the go.

The display itself is quite impressive, with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels pumped out to it. This means I'll have a ton of screen real estate at my disposal, making it perfect for multitasking or watching videos. The speakers built into the display are also a nice touch, allowing me to enjoy music or podcasts without having to rely on external speakers.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the Thunderbolt display from Apple. It's clear that this product is designed with expandability and functionality in mind, making it perfect for anyone who needs to stay connected on the go.
