Let's Play Mario Kart 8

Hello and welcome to our channel, TechnoBuffalo plays! I'm your host, Joey Davidson, and I'm here today with Mario Kart 8, a game that's been a favorite among gamers for quite some time now. We've had this game since early May, and we're excited to share our experience with you. As we dive into the world of Mario Kart 8, we'll be playing as Lito, one of the new unlockable characters in the game. He's known for telling you when you're going the wrong way, so let's see how he handles this track.

We're currently playing on 150cc, which is a great speed setting for our needs. We've also set the items to "frantic" mode, which allows us to use more power-ups than usual. This will definitely make things interesting as we navigate through the track. As we start racing, I'll make sure to steer away from my opponents and avoid any obstacles that come our way.

One of the new features in Mario Kart 8 is the coin system. Coins are scattered throughout the track, and they add up to your total speed. The more coins you collect, the faster you can go. However, there's a limit to how many coins you can hold at once - 10 coins is the maximum capacity. If you lose all your coins or get hit by five objects in a row, they disappear, and you have to start from scratch.

We're currently on Donut Plains, one of the retro courses that's making a comeback. This track is known for its challenging terrain, so we'll need to be careful as we navigate through it. As we drive, I want to remind you that coins are scattered all over the place, and we should definitely pick them up whenever we can.

Now, let's talk about some of the other power-ups in the game. There's the mushroom, which gives you a speed boost. There's also the shell, which you can use to knock your opponents out of first place. And then there's the banana peel, which will slow down an opponent and make them easy prey for you.

We're nearing the end of this race, and it's time to reflect on our experience with Mario Kart 8. As we mentioned earlier, the game has some great features that set it apart from other racing games. From its colorful graphics to its addictive gameplay, Mario Kart 8 is definitely a must-play for any gamer.

We'll be continuing to play Mario Kart 8 in future videos, so stay tuned for more updates and reviews. In the meantime, make sure to subscribe to our channel and hit that notification bell to stay up-to-date on all our latest content. Thanks for watching, and we'll see you in the next video!

For some visual statistics, we're running at 1080p resolution with a frame rate of 60 frames per second. This ensures smooth gameplay and reduces any lag or stuttering. When playing in split-screen mode with two players, the game maintains this high frame rate, making it perfect for competitive gaming.

The music in Mario Kart 8 is also noteworthy. It was recorded using live instruments and an orchestra setting, which gives the game a rich and immersive soundtrack. The anti-grab feature is another exciting aspect of the game, where your wheels flip up when you're driving on walls or upside down. This adds an extra layer of challenge to the game, as you'll need to time your movements carefully to avoid getting caught out.

As we continue to play Mario Kart 8, we want to remind you that it's not just a racing game - it's also a great multiplayer experience. You can team up with friends and family to take on other players in online matches or local co-op mode. With its variety of characters, tracks, and power-ups, Mario Kart 8 is the perfect game for anyone looking to get involved in some friendly competition.

We want to thank you all for watching our video today and for your continued support. If you liked what we saw, be sure to subscribe to our channel and hit that notification bell to stay up-to-date on all our latest content. We'll be back with more gaming goodness soon!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello this is Joey Davidson the gaming editor from TechnoBuffalo nice to see you guys here on the main Channel if you don't know we have our own gaming channel it's TechnoBuffalo plays you can hit that on the link that probably just popped up on your screen or in the description below we do just gaming videos there I'm here with Mario Kart 8 we've had this game since early May a review published yesterday again there's a link and again Below in the description this game's pretty awesome I've got this 150c um playing as litu he's one of the new unlockable characters that's the cloud guy that tells you you're going the wrong way in the game you know L to Fan Favorite actually he is one of my favorite racers in this new game which is pretty awesome I'm someone who really likes Yoshi and Koopa tro and he's right in League with those guys so I'm going to get out of the way really quickly this is 150cc Donut Plains it's one of uh the Retro courses that's making a comeback and uh I have the items set to frantic that's something you can do in the versus mode you can set items to frantic standard there's other limiters too but that's why I get some weird stuff and you see some weird stuff in this race also sorry I'm not that great at Mario Kart I mean I'm I'm okay so if if you haven't been following Mario Kart 8 at all you might be wondering what the coins do uh the coins basically there's a cap at 10 you lose them when you fall off the track or you get hit five objects in the race uh what you want to do is you want to pick them up because they add to your top speed so the more coins you have the faster you can go and you also want to pick them up once you reach 10 because it keeps your opponents from getting coins they disappear for a little while and every 50 coins earns you a card part I still haven't unlocked all them and I have well over a dozen hours played uh earning probably the cap every time and this is Mount Wario it's my other probably one of my favorite courses in the game instead of being a three laps it's three sections split down one course and you drop out of a crazy helicopter which is hilarious all right so for some visual statistics this is 1080p running at 60 frames per second and that holds when you go into split screen with two players and the music in this game is also brilliant a lot of it was recorded with live instruments in an orchestra setting which is great this is the anti-grab stuff so you see the my wheels are blue and they kind of like flipped up on themselves that's when you're driving on walls or upside down doesn't really happen too much in this race and as you saw in the the other race didn't happen at all so it's not a constant thing when you do have anti-grab activated if you bump into another RAC or you get a boost so that makes for some really interesting stuff uh if you're trying to be competitive and and catch up with others or if you're doing a team Race in versus mode uh you can actually join up with a partner kind of boost off of each other just to gain momentum section blue shells are back obviously if I had a uh super horn I think it's called the super horn I could deflect that blue shell it's actually kind of the first really major cancelling item for it I could also get away from it with a really well timed mushroom I haven't been able to do that myself I've seen videos of other reviewers doing it I just I don't have I don't have those timing skills I guess uh but I'm nearing the end of this race so one last plug if if you like what you see here we do this kind of gaming thing all the time in TechnoBuffalo plays we made the executive decision early on like H we're not going to overpopulate the main Channel with gaming stuff but we'll drop in every now and again but if you do like this I do several videos a week there head over subscribe I'm nice maybe I don't know try to stay active in the comments and such so if you do come over you'll see me hanging around thank you guys for watching we'll be back soon with another episode of this maybe down the line on the main Channel who knows let us know if
