Great News!!!!

A Day at the Ace Cafe Meet with Alberto and Mark

We started off by discussing my plans to install new lines and clamps in the car, which I mentioned would make things easier and eliminate those annoying Allen bolts that had caused some hassle. Alberto was very stoked about this and expressed his gratitude for being given the opportunity to work on these new upgrades. He mentioned that learning from past experiences and replacing old components with new ones has been a huge relief.

As we began working on the car, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. Alberto, who was heading out to get his car tuned by Mark at Martin's shop, offered to let me use the truck and trailer, but ultimately decided it would be easier to just drive there himself. He mentioned that he had been to this shop before with his sr and remembered having a great experience.

The conversation quickly turned to our upcoming plans for the day. Alberto was going to meet up with Mark at Martin's shop, where his car would receive some exciting tune-ups. I, on the other hand, was looking forward to spending the day working on my SR, which had been out of commission for a while. I expressed my enthusiasm for finally getting it back on the road and showed off some progress we'd made so far.

As we chatted, Alberto mentioned that he was looking forward to hanging out at the Ace Cafe meet with his crew from the drifter group. The event was going to be a great opportunity to catch up with friends and check out some cool rides. I, on the other hand, was a bit apprehensive about taking my 240 to the meet, but ultimately decided it would be worth it.

The conversation then shifted gears as we walked into the Ace Cafe. Alberto couldn't believe how big and busy the place was, especially considering it was a replica of a UK location. The owner, who also runs another restaurant, had brought in cars from all over to showcase their unique features. We were greeted by a massive BMW S70, which left us both in awe.

As we explored the cafe and its surroundings, Alberto couldn't help but rave about the food options available. He mentioned that he was only concerned with getting some lunch, but was excited to see what the other cars had to offer. The atmosphere at the cafe was lively, with everyone chatting and admiring each other's rides.

The day came to a close as we said our goodbyes and headed off into the evening. Alberto mentioned that he would be back in the morning to continue working on his car and catch up with Mark, who was also scheduled to get his car tuned. I, on the other hand, looked forward to getting some rest before the busy day ahead.

As we parted ways, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to hang out with Alberto and check out the Ace Cafe meet. It had been a great day, filled with good food, cool cars, and wonderful company.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enall right so we're back in the Lions Den and we're starting to put in work I know I've been a little bit light with the SR updates and that's cuz I really didn't know what was going on with it but I do have it back now and basically what the machine shop did because if you don't remember my head warp I don't know what caused it there was air in my engine and essentially when there's air there's no coolant so I got hot ahead worked and pulled the stuff out of the block so what they did is a thing called time certain it so they make the hole bigger where the stud would go and then they thread this thing in that kind of like locks in place when you thread the stud into it in addition to that I also switched from my ARP studs to Mavericks ARP studs that actually go deeper in the block for whatever reason the air piece studs that we had and a lot of people use in s ours they don't go all the way down through the threads which may have prevented the little failure that we had well is that CW pens they also checked through everything that actually disassembled the bottom end make sure the Pistons and the rods and the Rings are all good everything looks mint so we're mid so we're good do you agree though is probably just an air pocket so Alberto's already been putting in work I basically brought him just the short block he's got the head all assembled already oh yeah look check out the new richer line very nice we switched to braided lines for both the return line and this coolant line over here if you remember we had one that was running through one of the exhaust manifold sections and it was kind of sketchy with the heat and we also have this nice heat rap that thermal 0 gave us when they gave us the turbo blanket ended up doing with the return line so how a stainless steel tube that comes out of the flange almost like your OEM style tube and then I will it a dash stain male fitting and then I have a bright of steel line with background stuff and then I also have the eternal thing on it and then on the bottom I did the same thing I did the stock fitting I cut the neck off and then I well that are destined many bonuses completely and custom-made leak-free and his higher assist heat-resistant so we're looking like we're in good shape with that I'll take you guys over to the engine bay give you any sort of update on what's been going on over here temporarily because I don't like to catch skin that I had set up until I get my new valve cover with the a.n fittings on it I just I'm going to be using a push on hose on the tog a factory catch can set up that I got which is cool because it's got a large volume and it kind of fits in there nice and they also got my sweet LZ edged in there dese works also sent us over a bracket for their fuel filter so I have that mounted up there I have their fuel pressure gauge now and I can give Taylor his back I also got a bunch of other exciting little parts and doodads if you guys remember the little issue that we had where I didn't have the right fuel injector seats I have the right ones now radium sent them out also have these rad Nismo motor mounts and mounts a fabricator named Luke Anderson who goes by the name of likewise luke on instagram actually sent me these along with the Nismo mount which I'm super pumped about because I've always wanted them for my car because Lynde that I had made my car vibrate a ton but they're so expensive that it's kind of hard to justify and he's putting a V hue in his car he was like I'll send you mine if you want them and you did and I'm very very thankful and happy these are also way easier to install than the other one so you don't have those annoying allen bolts that kind of caused a hassle they have like their own studs which is dope Alberto is very very stoked about this we're learning from the past and replacing all the different lines and clamps in here with new stuff so yeah here's a quick little preview of kind of how the lines are ran now use some of the metal zip ties to kind of keep everything close together and away from manifold pretty much everything is done that we need to have done before it goes in the car only little stuff would be like the clutch flywheel play oh yeah true the motor mounts and then just like will do the valve cover gasket can feel rail and stuff once it's in the car we're actually going to an Ace Cafe meet the mark is hosting part of his like Facebook drifter group so we're gonna go hang out there I don't know if I'm gonna do anything else tonight on the other cars but we're probably gonna finish up on this tomorrow albert is actually going out to Martin to get his car tune so I'm sure you guys can look forward to seeing the video on his channel about that I'll talk to you I've been there do you remember I did that was it twice or three times with my sr I think it was twice because one time we used Markos trailer yeah the same place and get tuned
