Steam Greenlight Spotlight - Top 7 Greenlight Games to Watch, Ep. 5

Welcome to Greenlight Spotlight, our series that brings you the latest and greatest up-and-coming games on Steam's Greenlight service. I'm Steve from Gamers Nexus Net, and we're excited to share with you seven fantastic games that are worth keeping an eye on.

First up, we have Guncraft in slot number seven. Now, some might call it a Minecraft clone, but trust us, it's not quite like that. Guncraft takes the popular sandbox game and adds its own unique twist, with high-octane gameplay that's reminiscent of Modern Warfare and Battlefield. But what really sets it apart is its fully destructible environment, which allows you to build and create anything you can imagine. And if that's not enough, Guncraft also includes helicopters and other vehicles, as well as a Minecraft map importer that lets you bring your favorite maps into the game. Sounds awesome, right? Well, it is! So if you're looking for a game that combines the best of both worlds, look no further than Guncraft.

Next up is Folk Tale, which takes slot number six. This city-building game has all the makings of a great game - it's got a similar design and majesty to Settlers, with a dash of humor thrown in for good measure. But what really sets Folk Tale apart is its focus on sandbox play. It's not just about building cities - it's also about experimenting with different designs and seeing how they work out. And with its multiplayer capabilities, you can share your creations with friends and family, or even compete against them to see who comes up with the most innovative design. Whether you're a fan of city-building games or just looking for something new to try, Folk Tale is definitely worth checking out.

Now, if you're in the mood for something a bit more lighthearted, we've got Wooden Sensei taking slot number five. This beautifully presented time-based challenge game is an indie finalist this year, and it's easy to see why. With its unique grappling hook mechanics and hammer-actuated bounces, Wooden Sensei provides a gameplay experience that's both challenging and fun. And with its varied environments, each with their own artistic approach, you'll find yourself exploring a world that's both visually stunning and full of hidden secrets. Whether you're a fan of platformers or just looking for something new to play, Wooden Sensei is an excellent choice.

Fourth on our list is Gear Up, which takes slot number four. When I first saw the gameplay trailer, I couldn't help but think back to my childhood days playing Battle Tanks on the N64. And it's not hard to see why - Gear Up brings back all the excitement and action of those classic tank battles, with a modern twist that makes it feel fresh and new again. With 32 player support, you can join forces with friends or take on opponents in epic battles. And with its full level editor and co-op missions, there's plenty to keep you busy for hours on end. Whether you're a fan of tank games or just looking for something fast-paced and action-packed, Gear Up is an excellent choice.

Next up is Secret of Grinda, which takes slot number three. This old-school action RPG combines the best elements of classic SNES games with modern gameplay mechanics, resulting in a game that's both nostalgic and exciting. With its Zelda-inspired combat system and pet companion, Secret of Grinda provides a gameplay experience that's both challenging and rewarding. And with its well-written storyline and fluid aesthetic, you'll find yourself fully immersed in the world of Grinda. Whether you're a fan of RPGs or just looking for something new to play, Secret of Grinda is definitely worth checking out.

Coming in at number two is San Frey, also known as San Fray. This game combines third-person action elements with visceral combat and basic trap placement mechanics, resulting in a gameplay experience that's both challenging and addictive. With its unique lore and setting, San Frey provides a world that's full of depth and complexity, and you'll find yourself exploring a town that's teeming with life and activity. And with its focus on defense and strategy, you'll need to use all your wits and cunning to outsmart the invading werewolves and lycanthropes. Whether you're a fan of action games or just looking for something new to play, San Frey is an excellent choice.

And finally, we have our number one game, which takes the top spot. This game is... well, I'm not quite sure what it's called yet! The developers mentioned it in an email to us, and let me tell you - it sounds like a real winner. With its unique combination of third-person action elements, visceral combat, and defense mechanics, this game has all the makings of a classic. And with its focus on strategy and exploration, you'll find yourself fully immersed in the world of San Fray, working to defend your town against hordes of invading monsters. Whether you're a fan of action games or just looking for something new to play, this top spot game is definitely worth checking out. Stay tuned for more information on what it's all about!
