Ferrania Package!

I'm interested in picking one up because they're really cool and I'm going to drop some footage in over the top cuz I want you guys to see the package this came in uh they were really sweet she sent me a card on the front and so thanks to Annie for thanking me and I love it that there's a little strip of tape at the top that is film anyway they're really awesome um they sent me a stack of cards with the old FNA poster on it and then the shirt as well so major thanks to FNA um I hope that we get to do more with them in the future I know that Annie and Dave have both said they're interested and I'm certainly interested so as soon as things calm down and as soon as they get into production a little bit we'll see if we can do some more stuff with fan because I think it's an important project and uh it's it's awesome that they're actually going to be bringing back film so uh bold move and hats off to them and uh I think they're going to be very successful and I'm really excited about it

so anyway by the time you're watching this I'm probably already in Boston because I'm going to film my two shows today and then get packed and get out of here and if you haven't really followed and I would expect that you would because over the last couple years uh my day job has been at an art museum and I did a lot of media production for them and I the stuff that we're going to be doing with Harold is probably um it'll be different in some ways but more in the style of what I produced with other artist stuff over the years that I haven't really put in this channel um and I will link up to some of these videos below as well there were two in particular that I did that that I was really pretty happy with the work that came out of it um we did one on uh Jim Hodes who's a very well-known visual artist out of New York and then another one that I really liked it was a local artist in Dallas named Steven lap tipon and both of them were very quirky

there were some time restraints um the museum was really uh more keen on me producing like just two-minute versions of these and I really wanted to go a little bit longer with Feinstein so anyway we'll see how it comes out but if you interested in kind of getting a little taste of what I've done before on those you can certainly check those out um you know I'm not in them they're just on the artist and uh you know there's a lot of stuff going on so I'll link up to those below

anyway I know this is a quick video today but I'll let you check those out if you like I got to film the second episode today that we'll release on Sunday and I thought it might be kind of cool cuz we don't really do a lot of gear and stuff on the show I realized but um you know in in terms of equipment that I take on the road and I travel with you guys might be interested in behind the scenes on that

and it's interesting because uh years ago I mean doing video was very expensive and you know it was just getting a camera a computer that there weren really any computers that were strong enough to handle everything you had to have this full Avid system and digital video was very difficult and in the last seven or eight years all that has changed um just about every DSLR in the market shoots video now uh video cameras are a lot less expensive the technology is Affordable and computers can handle things so um you know when that happened I've always been interested in doing video work and so I definitely come at it from a photographer's perspective

um I was a photographer before I got into doing Film Production and so uh I think that the way I work and the types of stuff that I do is obviously very lowbudget if not no budget and it's I have to be fast and Nimble and stuff like that too so on Sunday we'll do a little overview of the stuff that I'm going to be using to shoot on which is a lot of the stuff that I'm in the studio with right now but I figured you guys might like to see that

and then when I get back we'll edit some footage together and start preparing to uh put our documentary out there so anyway um once again thanks for watching the show it's been The Art of Photography and I'll see you guys on Sunday
