iPhone X 5 Months Later _ My Personal Experience

# Article Based on Video Transcription: iPhone 10 Review After Five Months

## Introduction

In today’s video, we’re discussing the iPhone 10 and reflecting on my experience with this device five months after its purchase. The focus is on evaluating both the physical condition of the phone and how it has evolved over time—specifically improvements in hardware and software. Whether you’re considering purchasing the iPhone 10 or are simply curious about long-term usage, this review will provide insights into what to expect.

## Hardware Review

The iPhone 10 is undeniably one of the best-looking devices on the market. Its sleek design, featuring the iconic “hump” with the camera setup, is a standout feature. While I personally wish Apple would reconsider the design—eliminating the protruding camera—I can’t deny that the device has industry-leading build quality.

As for my usage, I rarely use cases or screen protectors unless I’m embarking on long trips where I feel my iPhone might be at risk of damage. However, this particular iPhone does have a noticeable scratch near the Apple logo—a rather large one, in fact. It seems that no matter which iPhone model I own (including the iPhone 8), I tend to accumulate scratches easily. Perhaps it’s time for me to learn my lesson and start using screen protectors consistently!

Despite the minor cosmetic imperfections, the hardware remains in excellent condition. The cameras function flawlessly, the speakers are clear, and the Lightning port on the bottom works seamlessly. All components are performing as expected, which is a testament to Apple’s engineering prowess.

## Face ID: Functionality and Improvements

One of the standout features of the iPhone 10 is its Face ID module. When I first purchased the phone, I noticed that it required me to stare directly at the screen to unlock it. Over time, however, Face ID has become significantly faster and more adaptive. Now, even a quick glance is enough for the device to recognize my face and unlock promptly.

This improvement is especially noticeable in scenarios like unlocking the phone while lying in bed sideways—a situation that previously led to frustration when the face recognition failed to detect me. The fact that Face ID has evolved so much after just five months speaks volumes about Apple’s commitment to refining its technology. I’m genuinely impressed and excited to see what the next generation of Face ID modules will bring.

## Cameras: Front and Rear

The iPhone 10’s front-facing camera is a feature I truly appreciate, while the rear-facing camera is nothing short of amazing. Whether capturing selfies or snapping high-quality photos with the rear lens, this phone delivers consistently excellent results. The advancements in camera technology have made it a pleasure to use for both casual and more serious photography enthusiasts like myself.

## Software Experience

While the hardware has exceeded expectations, there are a few areas where I believe Apple could improve software-wise. One of my primary complaints is related to the control center functionality, which we’re currently testing on iOS 11.4 beta. Despite the widgets being accessible from the corner of the screen, I feel that having an option to invoke the control panel with a swipe gesture from the bottom would enhance usability. Additionally, allowing users to bring up the app switcher in this manner could add even more convenience.

Another area for potential improvement is performance optimization. The iPhone 10 has the capability to be much faster than it currently feels. I’ve discovered a quick workaround to demonstrate its true speed: by sliding halfway to power off and then clicking the power button, you can temporarily remove animations and see just how swift this device can be. While this method isn’t ideal for everyday use, it does highlight the phone’s underlying potential.

There are also minor software annoyances that detract from the user experience, such as the absence of a battery percentage indicator in the status bar. These may seem like small issues, but they can have a cumulative effect on satisfaction. I hope Apple addresses these concerns in future updates to further enhance usability.

## Overall Satisfaction and Future Outlook

In conclusion, my experience with the iPhone 10 has been overwhelmingly positive. Despite its price tag of $1,200, I believe it’s a worthwhile investment that could easily last me another three to four years. Apple products are renowned for their durability, and this first-generation iPhone 10 is no exception.

While there are areas where the software could improve—such as control center functionality and minor user experience tweaks—I feel that Apple has done an excellent job overall. With upcoming updates like iOS 12 and future iterations of the iPhone 10 lineup, I’m eager to see how these enhancements will further refine the device.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys in today's video we're talking about the iPhone 10 and how I feel about the purchase of this iPhone five months down the road what are the physical conditions how is the product evolved has it evolved and how it has gotten better if it has gotten better well today we're going to talk about all those things including software and hardware so let's begin so first I want to go ahead and talk about the hardware because the iPhone is probably one of the best-looking devices in the market yes it does have that hump there with the camera which I wish Apple would get rid of but other than that it has a industry-leading built-in quality okay so it's a great-looking device and what that being said I typically don't use cases only when I'm going on long trips where I feel my iPhone could get damaged as well as screen protectors I don't use them much even though I should be using them but this iPhone here's my personal device and I don't know if you can see the scratch right there by the Apple logo it is a really big scratch now there's always been one thing with Apple products and Apple iPhones in general that I usually scratch them easily I don't know how I did that of course because it just woke up one day and it was there but not only the iPhone 10 but also the iPhone 8 has a scratch there as well as you can see I always have to scratch my iPhones and I don't know how I'm doing it maybe I'll learn my lesson and start using the screen protectors from here on outside but anyway other than that the hardware is in great shape the cameras are working the speakers working the only port on the bottom the Lightning port is working so everything is working just fine like a face idea how quickly it unlock my phone while I was moving it around that's one thing I want to talk about the face ID modulo up at the top this module has done faster and adapted a lot after several months of use ok so at first when I got the iPhone 10 it would unlock yes I will have to kind of stare at it to unlock it but now even with just a simple glance it'll see me and it'll unlock quickly before I used to lay in bed sideways and try to unlock the phone it would give me sometimes to passcode screen because I wouldn't detect me now it doesn't do that so it is true Apple did tell the truth face ID does adapt and improve within time and it's really really impressive how faster has gotten throughout last couple of months of use in the iPhone 10 I think once the second generation of this module here comes out it's gonna be just really really cool so that's something I'm very happy with I'm very happy with the front-facing camera I love the rear facing camera it's amazing okay so in terms of softwares where have most of my complaints there's a few things like the control center which we're running iOS 11.4 beta on this one still hasn't been addressed I think Apple could give us more than one option to invoke this would you panel here the control centers and yes I understand the widgets are on this corner and that's what they were going for but also a I don't know a swipe from the bottom bring up the app switcher and also a panel that has the widgets there if you want them to I think that's a great option I also think Apple should allow the iPhone to be a little faster this iPhone can be a whole lot faster here let me give you a quick demonstration so if I bring up here the slide to power off and I go halfway here and they click the power this will create a glitch that'll allow me to make the iPhone faster you're gonna notice right away how faster the iPhone is without animations did you see that let's go ahead and show you look how much faster I can make and that's just a simple glitch with an iOS that I can go ahead and remove the animations from the iPhone but it just shows you how much faster this thing can be if Apple would just to allow it you know also minor software things as well and again these are just minor things that just kind of hinder the user experience and but I think it's just something easy to fix like the as I mentioned before the battery percentage there so when I'm you know looking at the status bar I know what the battery percentage is some minor software things that I want able to change with the software and that's pretty much it I think it was a great purchase it was a thousand two hundred bucks I paid up right for this device I think I'm gonna go ahead and keep it for I don't know maybe another three years of course I'm gonna keep upgrading but I think I can get a lot of use out of his iPhone for at least three four years because Apple products in general are very well built and I really really like this one the first generation product and I think Apple at least got a B on this one so I like to look forward to this year with iOS 12 and everything else within iOS and the next generation of iPhone tens I hope you guys enjoyed the video let me
