LG Lucid Unboxing

# Unboxing the LG Lucid: A Comprehensive Review

## Introduction

Hello everyone, this is Aaron from Zolot Tech. Today, we’re going to unbox the LG Lucid, the latest smartphone from LG, which brings a lot of features to the table for a very reasonable price. Priced at $79.99 with a 2-year contract, the LG Lucid seems like a great deal. Let’s dive in and see what this phone has to offer.

---

## What’s in the Box?

Here’s the box containing the LG Lucid. It’s a bit different from what I’ve seen online, but that’s okay. The box doesn’t have a top that pulls off easily, but it’s not a big deal. Inside, we have:

- **AC Wall Adapter**: A standard adapter with a USB port on the back. Nothing too special here.

- **USB Cable**: This is a micro USB cable, which plugs directly into the phone. It’s a bit hard to see in the box, but it’s there.

We also have some documentation wrapped in cellophane tape, similar to how Apple packages its products. The documents include:

- Start Here (in multiple languages)

- Important consumer information

- Product safety and warranty details

Next up is the **battery**. It’s a 1,700 milliamp-hour battery, which should provide about 8 hours of talk time or 14.6 days of standby time. That’s pretty impressive for such an affordable phone.

---

## The Phone Itself

Here’s the LG Lucid. I haven’t seen one in person before, so let’s take a closer look.

The phone has a **square design** with rounded corners on the bottom. The sides are slightly thicker than average, but it still looks nice. There’s some metal around the edges, which gives it a premium feel. On the side, we have the power, sleep, and wake button. On top, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, and noise-cancelling features.

The back of the phone is made of plastic, which catches fingerprints easily. It has a red tint behind the plastic, giving it a subtle color. The speaker is located at the bottom, typical of LG phones.

---

## Screen and Display

The screen is supposed to be pretty nice. It’s a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels. While it’s not as high-resolution as newer phones (like 720p or higher), it’s more than sufficient for everyday use, especially at this price point.

---

## Specifications

Let’s talk about the specs. The LG Lucid comes with:

- A **1.2 GHz dual-core processor**

- **1 GB of RAM**

- **8 GB of internal storage**

These specs are pretty decent for a mid-range phone, especially at this price. It should handle most tasks smoothly.

---

## Features and Expandability

Before we pop the back off, let’s note that there’s no micro SD slot visible initially. But wait—there it is! The LG Lucid does have a **micro SD slot on the side**, allowing for expandable storage. That’s a nice feature to have, even if it’s not advertised heavily.

---

## Design and Build Quality

Now, let’s pop the back off and take a look inside. The phone feels pretty well-built. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy, which is good. The battery compartment is sturdy, and everything fits together nicely.

The LG Lucid has a **5-megapixel rear camera** and a forward-facing VGA (3 megapixel) camera for selfies or video calls.

---

## User Experience

Let’s turn the phone on. It震动了一下, so I assume it has haptic feedback. The phone feels a bit heavier than I expected, but it’s comfortable in the hand due to its rounded, angled corners.

The phone runs **Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)**, which is a bit disappointing. While it doesn’t look bad, it feels like we’re a couple of versions behind newer phones. However, LG has its own UI, and it’s functional enough for everyday use.

---

## Screen and Display Quality

The screen is an **IPS display**, not AMOLED, but it still looks great under bright light. The touch response is good, making the phone feel responsive and snappy despite running an older version of Android.

---

## Final Thoughts

Overall, the LG Lucid feels like a solid mid-range phone. It’s not premium in terms of materials or design, but it’s well-built and functional. With its decent specs, expandable storage, and reasonable price point, it’s a good option for someone looking for a reliable smartphone without breaking the bank.

---

## Conclusion

I’ll be reviewing this phone over the next week to see how it holds up in terms of performance and battery life. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them below. Thanks for watching! This is Aaron, and I’ll see you next time.

the battery it's 1,700 milliamp hours it's good for about 8 hours talk time or 14.6 days or 350 hours of standby time good capacity 1700 millia hours here is the phone itself now before I pop the back off let's take a look at the phone I haven't really seen one of these so here we have a square design rounded bottom the side is it's kind of thick but it's a nice design it's not just the normal plastic everything here we have some metal around the side looks like we have our power sleep wake button on the side here on the top we have a 3.5 mm headphone jack microphone noise cancelling I'm catching my fingerprints it does have kind of a red tint to it behind the plastic this is plastic we have our speaker down here speaker phone so uh pretty typical as far as LG goes now the screen itself is actually supposed to be pretty nice it is a 4 in 480 by 800 resolution so it's not crazy high resolution like some of the newer phones 720p that sort of thing but it is $80 on contract so pretty good the specs are 1.2 GHz dual core processor 1 gig of RAM and 8 gigs of internal storage so that's pretty nice uh let's go ahead and pop the back off and while we do that we can take a look at the 5 megapixel camera it also has a forward-facing VGA camera3 megapixels uh but here's the phone itself I do have a SIM card for this so I'll go ahead and pop the micro SIM into it goes this way pop the battery in so the phone feels like it's built pretty well I don't see any expandable storage in here but it does have 8 gigs of RAM I don't see any like I said I don't see any uh micro SD slot oh there's one right here on the side so we do have a micro SD slot on the side so it is expandable but does have 8 gigs internal there we go let's go ahead and turn it on there we go uh the phone just vibrated there so I'm assuming it's going to have haptic feedback as well weight is pretty good uh it is a little bit heavier than I would have expected uh feels good in the hand due to these rounded Corners though they're kind of angled rounded Corners I don't know if you can see that uh but overall pretty nice phone's booting up it is an LTE phone so we should get really fast speed with that uh it'll be seen to see how long it'll last with LTE on the battery and here we have set up I rebooted the phone after setting up my information on it and here we have the main screen now the one thing that's a little bit uh disappointing about this phone is it runs gingerbread Android 2.3 while it doesn't necessar necessarily look bad it's just uh a little disappointing that we're a couple versions behind basically there we go it says pinch to claps categories so this is LG's different uh UI now the touchcreen is responsive it's an IPS display it's not an AMOLED anything like that but it looks great uh we're under pretty bright light here and it looks great now the the phone does feel a little bit better than your typical LG phone in the hand but you do have this plastic back and you can definitely tell it's a little bit plasticky uh it does not feel real premium but it isn't necessarily a premium phone but responsiveness wise it feels pretty good I'll go ahead and review this for the next week or so and then we'll come back and do a full review now if you have any questions or comments or you've used this phone uh please go ahead and place your experience Below in the
