For so long, earbuds have been designed with the assumption that people sit with their ears facing forward, listening to music and podcasts. first it's like science experiment right so spoiler alert these are kind of what like the earbuds look like we're going to come back to this we're going to look at the actual earbuds and then I guess see what's inside all right so now let's get to the next layer this is an unboxing so we've got the earbuds over here a nice little message from shocks uh you might have seen some of the bone conduction headphones that they've had in the past but this is like something entirely new for them so over here we have Ultra Soft silicone oh this is the material that it's made out of yeah I've never felt this on a pair of earbuds before check this out Dom makes some nice coaster yeah right I like that and it does come in black and then beige we'll be checking those out soon we've got our paperwork as well as our USB cable so that's what you normally get in the box and while I've got this really special unboxing experience to share with you guys this is what the typical box looks like we have the beige option right here but let's take a look at the earbuds okay here we have it and these are the earbuds now this isn't like the typical bone conduction headphones that we've seen shocks make in the past this is completely different open ear and right here is where you feel that soft silicone so it's like touch sensitive so you can press your buttons here let's throw these things on really quick now disclaimer your boy has very funny shaped ears I've always said it in every headphone video that I always do so here they are and we've seen earbuds in the past that have like the hook design uh this one's pretty special I believe they call this the dolphin Arc ear hook so we've got this component right here that kind of gives us some balance probably has a battery in there you know what I don't have to guess I've got the schematics right here hold on let's take a quick look this is actually pretty dope oh take that out and then we have a layer so number one oh they break it down so this is the overall design and over here we got the last piece which is a split design between the earbud and Battery I was right kudos to me now that we know what's inside let's take a look at the actual earbuds themselves so check it out these are an open ear pair of earbuds and basically if you want to go out jogging or or doing any kind of activity but you still want to be aware of your surroundings uh you can skip the whole transparency mode thing and just let your ears stay open now we've seen the concept of open ear headphones before uh basically where the headphones aren't completely sealed off inside and you can hear things going on around you should help for like a bigger Sound Stage when it comes to headphones but on the earbud side of things it's more so that you can kind of stay in tune with what's going on around you while still being able to hear your own audio so this is cool I mean I I can hear everything around me this it's like nothing's obstructing my ears so uh I guess I should play some music and see how it sounds I have like lullaby music as my last track being played who am I kidding let's do some royaltyfree music oh wow I'm surprised at how loud this is I don't even have that 100% right now and royalty music is fine but I kind of want to hear what it sounds like with just something I would listen to okay so there's a surprising amount of Base here and with an open ear design that's not something you typically expect you don't expect to feel or hear a lot of bass uh but this thing definitely delivers and shock says that comes from their direct pitch technology which is supposed to be able to give you you know better Clarity in the highs as well as the lows so though that base you're supposed to be able to hear that a lot more uh so it's important that they paid attention to that and it sounds like they did a pretty a good job here what's up Don hey I mean you're right there yeah a normal conversation yeah music now how how well can you hear this can make up there some kind of sounds but not very dis now obviously someone nearby is going to hear something going on it is an open design uh but the fact that he can't really make out what is what he's hearing that's what we're looking for so the sound experience is actually pretty impressive especially considering they don't even I don't even think they sit in my ears the way a normal person's ears would kind of hold these D yeah get the black ones let's let's see what they're supposed to look like why does this keep happening to me everyone has better
