I Can't Believe How Excited He's Been to Rip This Car Apart
This is something that I thought I'd have to do, and he just jumped right on it. To be fair, he's been really enthusiastic about taking this car apart. The sound end design looks a lot easier than what we expected, especially compared to an S13. It looks like it comes apart nicer, which is a good thing.
I've noticed that there are some weird things that I didn't expect while doing this. For example, there's more sounding in areas that you wouldn't typically expect, like way back in the corner or in little pockets here and there. However, the sound is still pretty good overall. One thing that we're doing to remove the sound deadening is to get a good spot to weld in the cage. Not only does it help with the sound, but it also saves weight.
One of the things that's been exciting is saving all this crap that we're pulling out of the car and putting them in bins to see how much weight we actually saved by gutting the car. I think it would be awesome to get this car under 2,700 pounds. We'll have to see if that's doable, but it sounds like it could be a good goal.
The Unboxing Process
We've been waiting on parts from Japan for a while now, and they're finally starting to arrive. Today, we opened up some boxes containing various parts for the R34 GT-R, including an intercooler. The fitment was great, and the quality of the parts is what I expected.
I'm also excited about a new condenser that I'll be installing on my R32. It's not something that I need right now, but it's always good to have options when it comes to upgrading or maintaining these cars. We're also planning to get some test pipes for our cars, which will allow us to hear the sound levels in a more realistic way.
We've been having fun with dry ice and other props while working on the car. It's making everything look cooler than usual, but we know that it's not what you really want when you're driving around.
My Cats Are Coming
I have some bad news – my cats were accidentally sent to my new location, and I'll be receiving them next week along with test pipes. This will give us the opportunity to hear how loud our cars can get before we start building the cages.
New Exhaust System
We've been testing out a new exhaust system for our cars, and it's turned out to be quite exciting. The tips have been angled up a bit, which gives them a cool look. We're also thinking about adding some carbon deposits to make them blend in better with the rest of the car.
I'm happy with how everything is sounding, especially when we get to test pipes. It's going to be a lot more fun to drive around and hear how our cars sound up close. The new exhaust system has already made it feel cooler to drive, but I know that the real fun will come once we start hearing the sounds of the test pipes.
Watching Back Videos
I've been watching back videos of my previous projects, and I have to say that it's a lot more fun than working on them in person. There's something about seeing the end result that makes me enjoy it even more. We'll be doing some unboxing videos next time around, which will show you all the parts we've been waiting for.

because the way that it's designed probably one of the only companies I would trust a statement like that because they do a ton of research with the cars on the dyno they're like crazy science engineer nerds and know all about exhaust flow and can get crazy amounts of power out of these by little changes and even have their own intake set up for gt3 RS a--'s that make a huge difference for power I've just been too lazy to do it because you have to like kind of pull not pull the engine but like drop down yourself anyway this is as crazy as it gets for a center muffler delete what Alberta was yelling into it before he's like look I echo let's hear echoes so yeah it does huh that's crazy what the only thing is my car does somehow out of all my cars this car still has cats so it could technically be louder if I had catalyst headers I do still have like High Flow cast so I'm not losing that much power but compared to a countless car I might have a little bit less rasp but I'm curious to hear how gnarly it's gonna be with this setup what do you think Alberto I think I'm gonna like it I want to go to the Smoky Mountains next weekend it's probably cold up there hollers probably probably snow so last time we like pull the bumper off we pull the wheels off I looked at it I think I can do it without pulling the wheels or the bumper off so I'm gonna try on a car like this obviously taking the bumper off is you see your chance to mess something up or scratch it so I'm gonna do my best to do it without taking the bumper off and see if I can't I don't even know how many I need to take this off but I figure I'm still baffled like I did the headers on this car right it is the easiest car do headers on in the world have you seen it with the pan off over down so good I would love to change the oil right now but everyone thinks I'm crazy for it change my whole every thousand miles portion and they just like oh yeah I forgot about that all right so this bad boys coming off if you're gonna have me up in the DM z-- trying to buy this I'm not gonna sell it I'm gonna hold on to it just letting you know and you would think that that wouldn't be a thing that would happen with a Porsche gt3 RS but you would be surprised Oh shulman me Oh show me look whose hands they're not in pink TT I'm s babysitting these two key click Kamini working on my porch Deepti little weird brackets where loosen it and then slide it over I'm really pumped it I never realize I'd be able to do this without thinking number off yet don't it's hot yeah you're wearing gloves it's still hot how hot Samantha Wow weight-wise I can't wanna weigh this that's all about scale yeah that's me replaceable okay all right ready Wow from the weak things that pull it out twice not even the corners gotta be plugged into the power all right so I'm gonna be thirty eight pounds wow that's a heavy muffler to be fair I think that's a bit lighter than stock but I'm not sure so new piece weighs 5.6 pounds so that's a weight savings of 33 pounds but there's two little elbows that need to be included as well put that on top so we went from 38 to eight so we saved 30 pounds that's not bad I might wait seven those over this dark unit yeah well the stock one actually I think is pretty light it might even be Thai it's not that heavy but still yeah I'm gonna really feel that in my rear feeling so I've been done but I've been going crazy there's a small little rattle I don't know if I'm gonna hear it when I'm driving but I have checked everything and it seems like it's actually internally in the cat so I could have failing cats who knows with aftermarket high flow cats if that's a thing or not I was planning on maybe changing test pipes but we'll see when I started if it's something you can notice or not yikes I'm a little bit there's still room for me to angle a lot more I'm just gonna start it on make sure there's no leaks or anything that rattling is okay drive me nuts we'll see if it even doesn't want us running 25 percent louder okay this thing is so loud oh my god they're like it's a real race card now you like it my god that is so loud nine gray that's like six grand you think the shop neighbors could hear it no oh my lord my god oh my Adam it sounds so insane you feel it you feel it where it goes by you like you feel it hard you feel the orange it's insane like literally the best thing I've heard in a very long time we were dude in the shop and when you were around the block like you could hear that thing like it was it was a crowd like it it it was gonna try going to every other day with videos the problem being right now is just staying on top of editing gets very confusing what stuff goes in what video so I think this is continuing on from the video of the gt3 exhaust I know one thing I want to do today with it Alberto said he wanted to drive it with the new setup so well we'll take that for a drive in a little bit in the meantime we'll condenser yeah and I figured might as well get the intercooler - since when I had on theirs and it actually is the one that came with the car are you guys playing with dry ice again I was you gonna put a cap on the water bottle Alberto is literally 12 when we get back Alberto wanted to take it for a drive so we're going for a drive I should also inform you guys my cats were indeed bad done into sending me new cats next week as well as test pipes so we'll be able to hear what this sounds like with it as loud as it can possibly be the big smile fart make sure you read that out bro 9k is the limit do you like it my second ear I love the rats on diesel so good smile machine or what I'm not gonna lie I happen to be Luke super loud and obnoxious has made it a little bit more fun to drive around Florida it's literally just stoplight to the straight light and straight straight lines straight straight lines straight and stop stop straight dude I'm gonna get in trouble now with a new setup I think that's a new exhaust what do you think do you approve it was exciting before now how about twenty next time you can feel the vibrations through the seat yeah and the weird thing is when the cars in 7th gear like it doesn't really drone that much either which I thought it would I know it's loud as hell outside of the car but inside that car is actually quite pleasant it's actually the right balance of noise I agree it all comes out that I can just get a little bit for is behind you now it's another thing what do you think about the tips I kind of angled them up a little bit it seems like that's how the bracket one of them I think it kind of looks cool what do we cool with maybe a little bit of a slant cut but I think once these get some carbon and deposits and I'm going to look a little bit more natural I'm surely get black especially once we ditch the cats dang this cars cool all right I just way too loud that hurts okay so that is it for this video on the gt3 RS make
