platforms so we have mac os 12.3 released today by apple we have ios 15.4 as i mentioned ipad os 15.4 with universal control which is finally here i'm super excited there's also minor details i want to share about ipad os here in just a few seconds of course watch os 8.5 is now available for the apple watch and tv os 15.4 now available for the apple tv now this software update is the same build number as the rc so if you're a developer or a public beta tester you have nothing to worry about is the exact same build number as you can see right there one nine e two four one and that's gonna be the build number rc and today so exactly the same i wanna give you guys a quick recap for those of you that haven't been watching my beta coverage on this software so you can see how big of an update this is starting with face id everything you can do with face id you'll now be able to do while you wear a mask download applications make payments authenticate autofill passwords all that good stuff now when you first update to ios 15.4 your iphone will walk you through rescanning your face so that you can unlock with or without face id you get the option to choose you don't have to wear a mask to redo this it's just going to rescan your face to get more data points from the upper portion of your face above your eyes and things like that in order to authenticate while you wear a mask super cool feature i know a lot of users have been wanting this including myself and it is final here with ios 15.4 now with the mask you can also add glasses so if you wear glasses you can also do that as well now you do have to have the glasses on in order to add those to this particular portion of the os and you'll be prompted with 15.4 to do so as well once you update and face id also has one more trick up its sleeve so if you're wearing a mask and it's a little bit above your nose right so covering the bottom portion of your eyes face id will ask you to look down so it can collect those data points around your eyes and unlock using face id while you wear a mask even if the mask is a little up higher above your nose right below your eyes a really cool feature i know a lot of you guys will really make use of this one now there's also a new widget for the wallet application this is new in 15.4 if you want to check it out it is now available there's also new share play options in the share sheet options on your iphone so if you go for example to the apple tv application and you click on the share icon here we click on the share right here you now see that we have share place so you can start share play directly from the share sheet and all applications will most likely get updated to support this new option within the share sheet for sure play on the iphone now there's over 30 new emojis my favorite one has got to be the melting smiley face let me know which one is your favorite i'll have a list in the description down below that will bring you to all the latest new emojis but over 30 new emojis are now available under accessibility we have some minor changes to some of the glyphs here the airpods options right here the airpods glyph right there now represents airpods pro which is slightly different and new from previous generations of os something minor now something that is very very useful is that you can now turn off notifications for automation so if you have any automations on the shortcuts application you'll no longer get those annoying notifications on the lock screen or on the banner up top here when you run an automation it would just run in the background and it will seem natively running on your iphone super cool option again under automation options for the shortcuts application when you decide to run an automation now right here we also have some updates to the apple music icon so if we long press on apple music we have an additional option to play most recent so if you were listening to a particular song or an album you can now long press and go directly back to that particular last song or album that you were listening to just additional options there for the long press we also have custom email domain which now can be added with ios 15.4 of course you want to go into settings here you want to head on over into icloud the icloud options and icloud email and you now find that new option right there it is so custom email domains right now available with ios 15.4 a nice welcome addition here as well now on the lock screen there's a minor updates to some of the glyphs and the icons here we now have a new face id icon and face id to open wallet so when you go to use your apple card or apple pay and you double press the side button to pay if you're not within frame you'll get this new animation right here and your apple id so your phone number apple id is all associated to your air tag so if your air tag is found tracking someone else apple will definitely provide the information that long form law enforcement request in order to detect and provide the information to see who was the person trying to actually track another person air tags apple makes it very clear are only to track items not going to be a lot better to identify your devices around the house if you don't have an apple product but it does support airplay you'll not be able to see the proper glyph for airplay right then in there within control center there's also a new option here to add nodes to your passwords so when you go to passwords on your iphone you can add notes so you can remember your passwords in case you tend to forget you also have a new notifications for wallet and apple is working on a new style notifications and this is what it looks like this is the first of that we'll see most likely more of this with future software updates as well now again this is a major new update there's also a modem firmware update for the iphone 13 so apple looks to be improving the network and performance overall
