The Thrill of Drag Racing: A Weekend to Remember

It was a weekend that would go down in history as one of the most exciting and unpredictable drag racing events of all time. The street car super nets, held on the Las Vegas strip, had drivers pushing their cars to the limit, with some truly astonishing performances.

As we made our way to the track, it was clear that this was going to be a weekend like no other. The anticipation was palpable as the drivers took to the track, eager to see who would emerge victorious. And then, without warning, disaster struck. A rear end noise was detected on one of the cars, and despite efforts to fix it, it became clear that it was too damaged to continue.

But even in the face of adversity, the drivers refused to give up. One driver managed to secure a loan from a friend, who had spare rear ends to lend, and with some quick thinking, they were able to get back on the track. It was a testament to their skill and determination that they could adapt so quickly to this unexpected setback.

As the day wore on, the competition only grew fiercer. The drivers were running at incredible speeds, pushing their cars to the limit in an effort to emerge victorious. And then, just as it seemed like things couldn't get any more intense, another driver suffered a mechanical failure that brought them crashing down.

Despite the setbacks and disappointments, the drivers refused to give up. They kept pushing, determined to make it through to the next round. And that's exactly what they did. With some remarkable performances, they managed to advance to the next stage of the competition.

But even with their successes, there was still a sense of uncertainty hanging over the event. The track was getting colder by the minute, and with 4,000 horsepower cars flying down the straightaway, safety became a growing concern. In the end, it was no surprise when the officials made the decision to bring the competition to an early end.

It was a bittersweet ending to what had been an unforgettable weekend of drag racing. The drivers had pushed their cars to incredible speeds, and some truly spectacular performances had been witnessed by the crowd. But in the end, safety had to come first, and with the track conditions becoming increasingly hazardous, it was clear that it was time to call the competition to a close.

As we reflect on what happened at the street car super nets, one thing is clear: these drivers are truly among the best of the best. They have a rare combination of skill, determination, and nerves of steel that allows them to push their cars to the limit, even in the face of adversity.

The 767

One driver who had been making waves all weekend was [driver name], who took his car out for a spin and set an impressive time of 768 on the 767. It was a truly impressive performance, one that left the crowd gasping in amazement. As he drove away from the finish line, his crew erupted into cheers, thrilled by their driver's incredible achievement.

The Double

But [driver name]'s performance wasn't the only highlight of the weekend. Another driver had also been making waves, and at one point, it seemed like they might be able to take the lead. When they made a spectacular pass on their way down the track, it was clear that this could be a truly special event.

However, just as things were starting to look up for them, disaster struck once again. A rear end noise was detected on one of their cars, and despite efforts to fix it, it became clear that they would have to make an early exit from the competition.

The Buy Run

Despite this setback, [driver name] refused to give up. They made a final attempt at making a buy run, determined to leave everything on the track and see what happened. And in the end, their efforts paid off, as they managed to advance to the next stage of the competition.

Second Round Coming Up Soon

As we looked ahead to the second round of the competition, it was clear that this event was going to be one for the ages. The drivers were already talking about who would emerge victorious, and with some truly spectacular performances on the cards, it was anyone's guess what might happen next.

The Next Victim in Second Round

But as we looked around at the field of competitors, it became clear that there was only one person who could be considered the next victim: [driver name]. They had already made a remarkable performance on their way to the final, and now they were looking forward to another tough challenge in the second round.

The Third Round

As the competition entered its third and final stage, it was clear that this event was going to be one for the ages. The drivers were running faster than ever before, pushing their cars to the limit as they battled it out on the track.

A Lot of Cars Left

But despite the excitement and tension that had built up throughout the competition, there was still a sense of uncertainty hanging over the event. With so many cars left in the running, it was impossible to predict who would emerge victorious. Would [driver name] be able to pull off another incredible performance? Or would someone else come from out of nowhere to take the top spot?

The Uncertainty

As we looked around at the drivers, it was clear that they all knew exactly what was on the line. They had pushed their cars to the limit, and now they were waiting to see who would be crowned the champion.

The Safety Concerns

But despite the uncertainty hanging over the event, there was one thing that was clear: safety came first. The track conditions were becoming increasingly hazardous, and with so many powerful cars flying down the straightaway, it was only a matter of time before someone got hurt.

In the end, it was no surprise when the officials made the decision to bring the competition to an early end. Safety had to come first, and with the track conditions becoming increasingly hazardous, it was clear that it was time to call the event to a close.

The End

As we reflect on what happened at the street car super nets, one thing is clear: this was an unforgettable weekend of drag racing. The drivers pushed their cars to incredible speeds, and some truly spectacular performances were witnessed by the crowd. But in the end, safety came first, and with the track conditions becoming increasingly hazardous, it was time to bring the competition to a close.

The Legacy Lives On

But even though the event is over for this year, its legacy lives on. The drivers who took part will be remembered as some of the best of the best, and their performances will go down in history as some of the most impressive of all time.

And so, we say thank you to these incredible drivers for bringing us such an unforgettable weekend of drag racing. We can't wait to see what they do next!

happy with until i looked at egt's and saw i was missing a cylinder and then found that problem and then that was my first first real power hit so was the engine hurt or was it like electronics yesterday it was electronics it was it's a broken wire and was able to just that's good you know old school trace it out and run it run a single wire and and fix the injector and and now we have now amount of power it makes yeah um we dynoed it back in march it put 1200 to the ground at 6 500 rpms see that see the combo it's i guess it's pretty pretty basic nothing super fancy old school mag it's a good combination i i i truly think it's going to go bottom sevens based on the numbers in a wagon in a wagon a true steel door steel rope still quarter i was gonna hug the track the only thing last is the noise how much does it weigh now me at full fuel full race gear is 28.50 that's pretty light yeah where'd all the weight come from where'd you take it out mainly obviously the front end everywhere you know but it's a double frame rail basically it's a promo chassis with this little little power from that though i i have no worries yeah i know i know if i happen to go forsaken and go for a tumble i feel confident that i'll climb out it's so far it's fun it made me made me get a little shaky yeah and uh fun little wheelie there that's great yeah very happy with it it's you know i like to i like to give the spectator something to appreciate everyone was loving that and especially with what the car is being be in the wagon with you know all that the spectator is just throwing on it i have a feeling we're gonna get pretty pretty busy with people here in a little bit thanks let me check it out absolutely thanks for being here thanks for doing your promoting and having fun what all you guys do damn that was cool 762 at 180 out of the freaking malibu 300. that was sick that was one of the most beautiful wheelies i've ever seen that was just like just soaring through the air softly touches down a plus wheelie right there that was beautiful work of art hi guys you weren't supposed to do that that was literally probably one of the most beautiful wheelies i've seen this is jake this is jay childs the chassis builder the man behind the whole car she went nice and straight last night i was like you know it's going to power stem i want to make sure it drives straight because he can't see out that window in a power stand cut a hole in the floor yeah it's wicked it was and you landed it just perfectly too yeah like a rubber bumper yeah yeah you're right in the back now oh yeah you hit the back last night so you got rubber on the front left i got it yesterday and rubber on the back from today it's sweet 760 index we went 760 with a two that's amazing now you just have to do a wheelie every time so you can stain your dot your uh number yeah that uh that might be tough hopefully not but i'll take what i get as long as it's a to b yeah you got eliminations next round yes got a little work to do on the car but yeah you're right at that dial-in though it's the the 760 is the index we went 760 with the two lid 180. beautiful in a in a steel body of the 65 spell wagon hello good morning good morning guys so what's your plan to keep this thing consistent we're gonna keep doing wheelies or uh well we're hoping not we uh we did a lower bar change we raised the lower bar put tighten the shocks tighten the struts up and uh did air pressure change so we're hoping she stays semi-flat and goes a to b did you have to turn it down to stay consistent or you think we're going to leave tune up alone okay yeah we're tuning up is way safe way way fat it's kind of you know look honestly it's a tad on the lazy side all right we'll see another 62. yeah yeah that that was just you know pretty amazing out of it yeah with a little bitty small block so that's awesome we're over the moon happy is this first round elimination first round yeah and as luck has it we we we draw our our sister card are you serious yeah which car is the the the 16 four chevy here that is beautiful so they were built out of the same stable oh yeah we're both running small blocks he's pro-charged i'm turbo so great good time should be good race battle the boost yes good luck thank you 768 on the 767 nice work nice work it's like you meant to do that i meant to do that i had to lay this on when i saw the double yeah you did yeah decent pass lifted so we still don't know where we're gonna go i was wondering because when it didn't go up i was like this might be too quick well yeah it would have been because i lifted on you know i shaved off probably better 25 mile an hour so it's uh i still run a 768 on a 760 at a o38 light yeah and uh dimner cut the tree over you know he went to 770. you can't cut him for that they they run their number two they got that dial pretty good yeah so all right we're happy we're happy we're happy second round coming up soon second round coming congrats yeah so who so who's the next victim in second round next victim is myself you gonna buy we get a buy run into the final we're not in the finals but into the into the third round so we're going to uh kind of lay everything on the line and see what we got hopefully we can get you know not hopefully but we can get into the 30s or 40s and you can't break out on your byron cam you can you can break out on your buy run okay they'll let you they let you break out you don't lose as soon as you break the beam you you win the race and uh so i can run it out the back door and see what it's going to do so all right bye run coming up next and then we'll go in the third round so we got a lot of cars left and that's going to be the stressful part about this is we've had so many delays yeah hopefully maybe a couple of people awesome enjoy the buy room thank you please we've got some folks that are trying to make a big tire so right before that pass he was telling me that he heard a rear end noise the first two passes and it kept getting worse so his friend a couple trailers down loaned him his rear end i thought he fixed it but i don't think it's fixed unfortunately where's the other one's at oh you already pulled them out those that was pretty fast oh yeah yeah right off jeez that's record timing i think they've only set two pairs since you went i think so and didn't even uh create an oil down so i know that's good so you're putting the less problematic parts in now yeah we're putting old faithful back in oh my god still in the game still in the game yes sir our plan didn't quite work out but uh yeah we'll be uh i think we'll be okay to make round three i really wanted to see what it runs oh you did it too i did two see you up there all right thanks guys well unfortunately we just got the word here at two o'clock in the morning at the las vegas strip that streetcar super nets is a wrap and it's too cold on the track to continue running that's just the way it goes sometimes they have had i believe over 25 oil downs this weekend the track staff worked their asses off to get us to this point but it's just not safe enough for these race cars we have 4 000 horsepower cars about to run down the track so they had to make the decision for the safety of the racers it's not going to happen all that work all that work for not dang it busted our butts got through and changed ready to go called the race at 2 30 in the morning yeah nevertheless you know we came out here untested unproven yeah we're going you know going into the third round of eliminations and uh cars cars running good we put old faithful clunker rear end back in it and uh well you know we'll live to play another day it might be for the better that you did honestly you know yeah the track's getting cold and you know people get hurt that way well thank you for the entertainment absolutely the wheelies were a blast to watch thank you thanks i enjoyed doing them yeah that last one was was really fun hopefully we'll see you somewhere along the way yes thank you thank you guys for coming out here and doing this and we're covering it busting your butts for it i enjoyed it
