Which iPad To Buy in 2022! iPad Air 5, iPad Pro, iPad mini, or iPad!

**The Best Tablets for You: A Guide to Affordable Options**

If you're looking for an affordable tablet, consider starting with just the basic iPad. This well-rounded tablet is great for most people out there who want to consume content, have a kid use it, or just need a basic tablet for media consumption. The iPad is still powerful, but it lacks other bells and whistles that more expensive tablets have. It doesn't have a fancy redesign in the past few years, and it doesn't have Face ID or Touch ID on the power button. However, it still runs the latest versions of iPad OS and is a great tablet. With a starting price point of $329, it's not badly priced for most people out there.

For those who want something that compromises between price, design, and power, consider the new 2022 iPad Air 5. The new iPad Air 5 has Apple's M1 processor on the inside, which is the same one found in the high-end iPad Pros but at a lower price point. It was just updated, making it an excellent option for those who want a powerful tablet without breaking the bank. Additionally, it was recently redesigned, offering improved performance and features.

The new iPad Air 5 has a lot to offer, including up to two terabytes of storage, which is more than the 256GB cap on the standard 2022 iPad Air model. Other changes are fairly small between these two models, but the iPad Pro offers some additional features, such as Face ID, Thunderbolt instead of just USB-C, and an ultra-wide camera on the back. However, those extra features may not be worth the extra cost for most people.

**Tablet Options for Education and Productivity**

If you're a student or professional looking for a tablet to use for schoolwork or other tasks, consider one of these options:

* The 2022 iPad Air is an excellent choice for most people. It's balanced between performance, longevity, redesign, and price point.

* The new 2022 iPad Pro is another great option, especially if you need more storage. However, it's a more expensive option that may not be worth the extra cost for everyone.

**The Best Display: Liquid Retina XDR**

One of the most significant differences between the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros is the display. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro has Apple's stunning Liquid Retina XDR display, which is brighter and more powerful than the 11-inch version. It also offers a lot more screen real estate, making it perfect for those who want to be productive.

**Conclusion**

Ultimately, the best tablet for you will depend on your specific needs and budget. If you're looking for an affordable option with great performance and features, consider the new 2022 iPad Air 5 or the regular iPad at $329. If you need more storage or a larger display, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro may be worth the extra cost. However, if you don't need those additional features, one of these options is sure to meet your needs.

interested in starting off with one of my favorites the ipad mini the ipad mini is a super great ipad it's exceptionally powerful with an a15 bionic processor plus it just got a whole redesign with usbc an edge to edge rounded display it's just overall a great tablet but just because it's small don't think that it's cheap with a price point of 4.99 starting out you should really only consider the ipad mini if you want power in a tiny body if this size is important to you consider the ipad mini but if you're just looking for a cheap ipad this is not necessarily the one you want to go for if you're looking for an affordable tablet consider just the basic ipad this well-rounded tablet is great for a lot of people out there if you're looking to consume content looking for something for a kid looking for something for someone who's older or just want a basic tablet for media consumption the ipad is the one you want to consider it's still powerful but it lacks other bells and whistles that the other tablets have it doesn't have a fancy redesign in the past few years it doesn't have face id nor touch id on the power button but it's still an ipad still runs the latest versions of ipad os and is a great tablet and with a 329 starting point it is not badly priced either for most people out there the tablet that i would recommend if you're looking for something that compromises between price something that's been recently redesigned and enough power to last a long time would be the new 2022 ipad air 5. the new ipad air 5 is amazing it has apple's m1 processor on the inside which is the same one that's found in the high-end ipad pros but at a lower price point additionally it was just updated this is still the last generation ipad air 4. the new ipad air 5s are just beginning to go on sale and start shipping which is why we don't have it here in the studio yet but we have an idea on performance since again the ipad pros do have that same m1 processor on the inside for pretty much everyone out there the only reason i would say to go with the 11 inch ipad pro is if you need more storage between the 10.9 inch 2022 ipad air 5 and the 11 inch 2021 ipad pro the biggest difference is gonna be that it has up to two terabytes of storage on the inside where the ipad air is still capped at 256. other changes are fairly small between these two models the ipad pro yes has face id it has thunderbolt instead of just usbc it has the lidar scanner as well as an ultra wide camera on the back but those are all fairly small changes between the two devices and i don't think it makes sense for most people to spring for that extra money if you are looking for more power you'll have to wait for the next generation ipad pros but for again a lot of people out there these things look great have a bunch of fun new colors with the 2022 versions these are the tablets that i would recommend for a lot of people out there including high school and college students who want to use a tablet for schoolwork a lot of professionals this is just an amazing buy go get the ipad air 5 the 2022 model that all brings us to the ipad pro there are two sizes of ipad pro the 11 inch and the 12.9 inch this here is a 12.9 inch when looking at the ipad pros the only one i would recommend right now is the 12.9 inch model there's just not a big differentiation on the 11 inch versus the new 2022 ipad air i would lean towards this one because it has the best display ever on an ipad this liquid retina xdr display is brighter and more powerful than the 11 inch version plus it has a lot more screen real estate they do have wi-fi and 5g options on all these models but the pros do have millimeter wave support which is faster though limited in where it's available so again for those who want to be the most productive and want the best ipad they can go for the 12.9 inch ipad pro so that's how it all shakes out just to reiterate one more time the ipad mini is a fantastically powerful tablet in a small form factor but with a 500 starting price point it is not that cheap for the most affordable ipad for kids media consumption go for the regular ipad with a price point of 329 it's incredibly well valued that takes us to the ipad air which is probably the one that most people should buy the 2022 ipad air that is perfectly balanced between performance longevity redesign as well as lower price point than the similarly powered ipad pros just above 700 then we get into the new ipad pros that haven't been updated in a little while they do expect to see an m2 version of these coming on the pipeline either in late 2022 or early 2023 but i don't think that update is coming anytime soon so these are still good to buy though i would lean everyone towards the 12.9 inch model for that larger display if you're okay with the 11 just go with the ipad air it's just as powerful in a cheaper price point let me know what you guys think if you want to grab any of these tablets there's a link down below in the description youtaking apple's new 2022 ipad air into consideration which one should you buy in 2022 welcome everybody to apple insider it is andrew
