**A Fun Day Out at Home Goods**

I decided to visit Home Goods with my loved ones and I was picturing these candles on the coffee table in either of the rooms, so we'll see where that goes. I thought that these little candles were so cute and the thing that eventually can just burn it has like a really light non-offensive fragrance. I wouldn't say that it's necessarily very Christmas-y and it doesn't tell you what it is, um it just says "daft" which is very similar to the word for smell and Danish.

I was impressed by the mercury glass finish on these little candles, I'm trying to make sure you guys can see this. The mercury glass finish is so pretty, isn't it? So I was thinking that after the candle is gone, this would be so cute just with like a packaged treat or something or um just a jewelry box. Even at the holidays, I don't know there's so many different ways that you could use these. I got this size and this size, okay maybe that is the fragrance this one says Balsam Forest oh it does smell like a balsam forest, um I like this fragrance the best.

This candle was 9.99 and I just thought that the little metallic kind of mercury glass finish was so pretty. Maybe I'll move you guys back into the room a little bit okay, maybe that is better. Okay but I just thought these were beautiful and so high-end looking. I know for certain that they sell things like this at Pottery Barn and I'm like "and I know because look, you can see I've got my mercury glass lamp which came from Pottery Barn sitting back here." So this mercury glass, these metallics, I just wanted a glamorous feeling this year but it's still going to be very simple, a little bit more hotel-like and feel.

So I really like that they have like a it's different metallics mixed into these. See if I can you guys can see that it's got a little bit of like a mercury glass kind of feel to it. Um and they've got more mercury glass kind of looks in here. These box sets are incredible. This one's more like "oh this is heavy" these are heavy and I definitely know, oh you can't see the detail let me see if I can show you the detail on these is so beautiful. It's got like a crackle kind of finish on it. This set was 24.99 for all these ornaments.

You're gonna look for these. This is from the Sleigh Hill Trading Company and the other box does not have a name on it but I really recommend these sets because they feel very high-end, they have a lot of weight to them, and the colors are beautiful and so spot-on for the season. Now I did feel extremely anxious in the store, I actually almost left without buying anything because when I get into Home Goods, I start to feel so stressed out because there's so much stuff everywhere.

And then a little bit of Halloween was still leftover and then a lot of Christmas but I'm wanting to do in the other rooms a little bit more of like leather and um a lot more black. And I didn't find anything at Home Goods for that, so a few weeks ago I did a video about how to shop at Home Goods and my shopping tips and my number one tip was to be willing to walk away. So I had to exercise that advice and just simply walk away without feeling like I needed to buy something else.

The associate there I asked her, "Is this basically everything?" And she said it's not even close to everything, she said there is so much more stuff that they just have to get things out, they have to get things out, they have to get that stuff sold. So they can bring more stuff in. If you haven't watched that video with those tips and tricks, I definitely recommend it because it should help you really hone in on what you want.

I really had a list going into my shopping experience about what I really wanted and what I really needed. Unfortunately, you know, I didn't find everything, and that's okay. I may also go to another Home Goods if I do, um I will probably post that on my Instagram account. things that i have and add a few things to it so i've been looking everywhere and i can't seem to find anything um online or it's really expensive online so i was thinking well maybe this is a good excuse to go to homegoods and see what we can find so we're gonna mask up go to home goods and see what's out there and i'm a little bit afraid that we go i'm actually a little bit afraid that we might find absolutely nothing that's possible but i've got my iphone with me and um it's just me so it's not gonna be super fancy but i thought you know let me just take you guys with me i feel like you're my shopping buddy do you guys feel like that too like we're buddies we get to go shopping and you know hang out together so that's what we're gonna do and then i will meet you back here in just passing apparently i was not the only one who was excited about christmas because this was pretty much the only time that i was alone so i thought it might be easier for us just to chat just a little bit while i show you some of the footage there's this really fun little area that had a whole bunch of traditional christmas dishware and little serving pieces none of it was anything that maybe i would necessarily choose but it was very cute and then we got over into the dog sweater area and of course i wanted all of them i love finding little sweaters for louie and i think because we got him when he was only six weeks old he will willingly wear just about anything we put on him and i think he almost kind of likes it i didn't find anything for him this time but there was lots of temptation next up was all the cute little christmas themed dog toys this is the part where we go crazy and usually buy a little too much i mean how cute is that i always think about what i want to see laying on the floor because inevitably he's like another little child leaving his toys all over the house and these little guys totally adorable if you happen to have a pet i think that home goods has some really really cute items i thought that these little chew toys were adorable i managed however to leave the store without buying any of this even these adorable ornaments i typically do not buy a lot of these kinds of ornaments i really try to stay with the more chic and you know that elevated kind of feel when i purchase things but i think it's okay to have some personalized ornaments in your mix as well especially if they look like your pet the number one thing that home goods seems to have gotten a plentiful a bountiful amount of this year are blankets and pillows and there were so many choices but this is definitely the part where i get really picky it has to be awesome and as i started to go down this aisle with all the red i almost felt a little bit anxious because there was so much stuff and of course i find the one neutral thing i don't think it was supposed to be on this aisle we're looking for that tassel we're looking for that nice material i can't believe this one was only 19.99 but personally i don't usually use a lot of red at the holidays which i know is you know ghastly to some people but you know everybody's got their own thing and hey you know sea life and all these other themed kind of things are fun but if you're trying to create a high-end look these are probably the things that you should pass on and maybe try to look for some things that just have a little bit more of an elevated kind of feel something that feels a little bit more elegant we're back down yet another aisle of blankets and pillows you're gonna see a lot of these in this video because there are a lot and what i'm really looking for is a blanket that will take me all the way through the holidays that maybe doesn't have such a theme i personally didn't feel like these were better than some of the other ones that i've seen they were good but they weren't super soft i'm gonna be suggesting some other ones that i've seen at target lately that i think are really really good these pillows were really cute i typically again try to avoid these kind of themey items but i thought this one in particular was super cute and i might have included that one however i didn't buy it i find myself gravitating more towards cable knit something that has that sort of classic feel to it that i can use all the way through winter and then i might add something in that feels a little bit more christmassy but you see i just can't keep myself away from these fur ones i just think they're so pretty and it just it gives you something that will really last you all through the season instead of just having something that's ultra themey these were pretty affordable for 98. normally it's a regular price down to 39.99 target has some really good ones too and of course you guys know that i really love the pottery barn fur blankets i still think that they are totally worth every cent i found this gorgeous wool one which i very seriously wanted to bring home with me i thought it was absolutely gorgeous of course made in italy and it's 39.99 so i don't do this on purpose i think that a 39.99 blanket at home goods is probably the higher end but you know if you're looking for something that's quality sometimes you will be paying a little bit more but in the end you end up with an item that's going to last you a long time and transitions with the seasons i know it's a little bit hard to tell in the video but we've actually moved to the tree skirt section and i was actually really disappointed i didn't find anything i had really hoped that i would be able to find even a couple tree skirts and um i just couldn't find anything everything had too much embellishment or it just wasn't the right style nothing really fit so there's some really cute ones and maybe these will fit your theme but none of these were right for me i've pretty much stopped buying all these small tchotchke style things because they just end up cluttering up the space and i'd rather have larger items you can see that obviously we have a dog because i'm drawn to these cute little things but i was really thinking more for haley these are items that i would put maybe in her room on her christmas tree but i also love to buy ornaments like this and tie them to presents for my friends who do have dogs now we're starting to get near the candle section there were so many things everywhere it's like okay now we're in the ornament section and i was just starting to feel really overwhelmed with so much stuff um as you can see it's just everywhere and this is the part that can start to feel a little bit stressful because you really have to hone into what you're there for and try to stay focused just when i thought i was going to be going home with a roll of wrapping paper i did spot these gorgeous mercury glass style christmas trees and i got really excited so let's see what i ended up with all right i am back in my office and i can't believe how busy this store was since this home goods slash tj maxx happens to be right next door to an old navy i did pop in there as well however i bought so much stuff that i'm going to make that a separate video because there was way too much stuff that was so amazing i bought a ton of stuff but i've got to try it on so i'm going to save that for a different video and then i want to target yeah so i'm pretty much um pretty much broke now at this point but the house is going to be gorgeous so let me show you what i got okay so what did i end up getting at home goods i bought i'm trying to see if i can show you i got the gold paper which you probably could have seen in the cart um i just like having a couple rolls of really basic paper like this because it's gonna look awesome with all the golds and the metallics in here and please tell me you match your paper to every tree you guys probably don't have nearly as many trees as i do right like you don't have like multiple trees maybe two trees in the same room you know i know you're probably not that crazy i absolutely love these box sets last year i bought these and as i was unpacking them this year i was like ugh those were such good ornaments for such a good price so i'm gonna take one out hopefully here okay so i'm not going to be taking them out because apparently i bought garland that lights up i don't think you can see that but it lights up this was only 12.99 um i'm so blown away i can't believe this this is completely adorable look at this look it comes with a little pack isn't that so cute either way these were that was quite the find i also bought the metallic christmas tree this one was only 19.99 19.99 is a lot of money to me i mean maybe it's not to you but it's still a lot of money to me however if you look at pottery barn or crate
