Welcome to The Custom of Interest! Today, we're going to discuss a popular debate: whether to buy used AirPods or clones. Both options have their pros and cons, and we'll explore each one in detail.
First, let's talk about the price. The cheapest pair of used AirPods I could find on eBay was for $80. However, it's worth noting that half of them were sold individually, without the case, so the full set cost more than that. On the other hand, clones of AirPods can be found for around $60.
So, which one is cheaper? Well, it depends. If you're looking for a good deal, buying a clone might seem like the way to go. But keep in mind that cheaper doesn't always mean better. As they say, "you get what you pay for."
Another factor to consider is the battery life. Some used AirPods can be three to four years old, which means their batteries have probably degraded over time. This could affect their performance and overall quality.
On the other hand, if you buy a clone, you'll get a brand-new battery that should last you around three to four hours. However, it's essential to note that not all clones are created equal. Some might have lower-quality batteries or inferior designs, which can impact their performance.
Now, let's talk about quality. AirPods are known for their high-quality design and build. They're genuine Apple products, after all. While clones can be stylish and functional, they often lack the same level of quality control as the original product.
For example, many clones don't have wireless charging or Siri support, which are features that come standard on AirPods. And while some clones might have better sound quality than others, it's always a gamble when you're buying second-hand.
Another factor to consider is the previous owner. If you buy used AirPods, you'll never know for sure what kind of care they received from their previous owner. They might have been treated with great care, or they might have been dropped on the floor and abused.
The same goes for clones. You never know who bought them first, how often they used them, or what kind of conditions they were exposed to. It's like buying a used car – you might get a good deal, but you also risk getting a lemon.
Despite these risks, there are some benefits to buying clones. For one, they're usually cheaper than buying new AirPods. And if you're not particular about having the latest and greatest technology, a clone can be a great option.
Ultimately, whether to buy used AirPods or clones depends on your individual needs and preferences. If you want high-quality products with good battery life and reliable performance, then AirPods might be the way to go. But if you're looking for a more affordable option and don't mind taking on some risks, then clones could be a viable choice.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey what is up youtube welcome to the custom of interest alright so should you buy a used pair of air pods or should you buy a clone pair well there are pros and cons for buying either one and hopefully this video will help you decide also i will leave links in the description for the best deals and products i can find also this is for the original airpods and not the pro virgin but if you want me to make a separate version for the pros leave it in the comments alright so should you buy a clone or just used air pods first let's go over the price the cheapest pair of used air pods that i could find was on ebay and it was for 80 us dollars i mean they were like cheaper deals but they but half of them were like only the case or only the earbuds and they didn't sell the full set and so the 80 ones were the ones actually had the full set and yeah the closest and highest quality clones you can find right now go for around 60 us dollars i'm sure you can find cheaper clones but like the cheaper they are the the worse they are so for the price i say the clones win on this one the next factor i can think of is the battery some used air pods can be three to four years old which means the battery has probably degraded over time and it probably holds like half of its capacity that it used to be able to hold and in some cases it can be even lower than that if you buy a clone you get a fresh brand new battery that should last you around three to four hours but if you buy a lower quality clone you can also it also might just have bad battery life and it might get the same as like used airpods it all depends on what clone you buy and how high of quality they are but for the battery i would say the clones win on this one the next thing is just quality now the airpods take the win on this one i'd say just because they're they're genuine apple airpods they they're the highest quality they are genuine they're real wearing clones a lot of times the quality control isn't as good but at the same time the clones are brand new so shiny new case new accessories never been worn before by anyone previous they they are just they're just cleaner like they haven't been in somebody's ears they haven't been who knows growing earwax or something they're just brand new and then so when you're buying a clone essentially you don't have to gamble on a previous owner like it could be it could have been a bad owner could a good could have been a good owner it's kind of a gamble for all you know the previous owner could have taken really good care of the earbuds and they could just work amazing or they could have taken really bad care of it and you never know often if the previous owner didn't take care of it they could the quality of the earbuds could just go down because i've seen where like sweat or water gets into the drivers and the drivers don't fully function so they don't like some of them don't have base or they just one of them is just not quite as loud as the other one but then the people keep using them anyways because they don't they don't want to buy new ones but at the end of the day it's just kind of depends on the previous owner another thing to take into account is when you're buying a clone they're mostly pretty much all the clones are just the gen 2 clone so they have wireless charging hey siri support where all the used ones i could find were gen ones and so they didn't have wireless charging or hey siri and they have the inferior chip also but at the end of the day they both have factors that could go wrong the used originals could have a terrible previous owner or a good one clones you could buy just a bad quality clone there's just many factors that can go into either one well if this video helped you in any way be sure to leave a like on this video i'll be leaving the best clones i've tried in the description and also the best deals on used airpods in the description thank you all so
