Lamborghini Centenario preview. See new carbon fibre supercar in detail _ evo MOTOR SHOWS

The Lamborghini Centenario is a sleek and powerful sports car that has left a lasting impression on car enthusiasts around the world. One of the key factors that sets it apart from its competitors, such as the Aventador SV, is its use of lightweight materials. The car's carbon fiber bonnet, doors, and front fender reduce its weight by approximately 15-20 kilograms, which may seem like a small saving but when combined with other features such as forged aluminum wheels and a unique cooling system for its massive carbon brakes, the Centenario becomes noticeably lighter.

The engine of the Lamborghini Centenario is, as expected, a powerful and efficient one. It is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that revs up to 8,600 RPM and produces an astonishing 770 horsepower (759 brake horsepower) and 59 lb-ft of torque. The engine's performance is matched only by its beauty, as Lamborghini has incorporated numerous details throughout the car that showcase its craftsmanship and attention to detail.

One of the standout features of the Centenario is its unique interior design. Gone are the traditional door panels, replaced by a stunning expanse of carbon fiber that dominates the center console. This new design element not only looks striking but also provides a sense of modernity and sophistication to the cabin. The seats, too, have been upgraded, offering improved comfort and support while still maintaining their signature hardness.

The Lamborghini Centenario's performance is nothing short of impressive. It accelerates from 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h) in 23.5 seconds, making it one of the fastest production cars on the market. The car's steering system has also been upgraded with rear wheel steering, which enhances its agility and responsiveness.

Another highlight of the Centenario is its exterior design, particularly the massive diffuser that dominates the rear end of the car. This design element not only looks stunning but also provides improved aerodynamics and cooling for the massive brakes. The car's lighting system has also been upgraded with bespoke LED lights that provide a unique and futuristic look.

In addition to the Centenario, Lamborghini is also showcasing other cars at its event stand, including the Avio, which is essentially an Italian version of the Huracan in matte blue, gray, or green. The Avio is an exciting car in its own right, with its unique design elements and advanced technology features.

Last but not least, we have the Lamborghini Centenario, a truly exceptional sports car that has set new standards for performance, design, and engineering. Its lightweight construction, powerful engine, and stunning interior design make it an absolute must-see for any car enthusiast.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwelcome to the Lamborghini stand at the Geneva Mo show 2016 and here we have the centenario now Lamborghini has been pretty good over the years at s producing these uh very limited run versions of cars that sort of already exist we had the Reventon start with the CEST ELO the Aventador J we did quite a cool video of that so look that up Elsewhere on our Channel this the centenario is designed to celebrate the 100th birthday what would have been the H 100th birthday of ficio Lamborghini of course the founder of the company and yeah they actually go to town on these cars it it might some of you I can understand totally why some of you will not like this car it is is wild in the extreme but there are some actually some lovely details when you start looking at it the little air intakes to the side of these front lights here it it weighs less than an Aventador SV because well it's got carbon fiber Bonnet carbon fiber doors as opposed to aluminium and the same with the front fender too so it's about 15 20 kilos all in which is well it sounds like it's only a 5 kilo saving over an SV but we bear in mind some of the other technology that's on this car it's actually a bigger weight saving overall if you see what I mean other details in the car were the wheels they're forged and Mill aluminium but then with these carbon fiber blades on them as well which extract the heat from the big carbon brakes the engine well it's the familiar 6/2 lit naturally ASA V12 revving to 8,600 RPM and sounding absolutely glorious I no doubt as it does so it's now producing 770 PS which is 759 brake horsepower and putting out 59 lb for of torque which is shall we say ample I think around the back of the car we can see a few more of the Glorious details of this you can see the the definition between the matte carbon fiber and the gloss carbon fiber all naked weave which is really rather lovely obviously we've got a huge diffuser here I love the fact that you can see the rear tire exposed with this cutaway into the diffuser there which looks absolutely gorgeous also these lights which are now beghini lighting it says nice little script along top and if you look from just up here it looks as though they're floating in these amazing sort of fins coming out the back all very nice indeed the rear wing as well is now on hydraulic struts so think sort of um McLaren P1 the way that rises up like that and that obviously adds weight which is one of the reasons it's obviously weighs sort of effectively less than an SV but certain bits weigh more than an SV the other thing is it's now got rear wheel steering which we know is is something that's worked exceptionally well on the latest 991 generation of 911s and they' developed this new P0 Tire to go with that we're going to have a look inside in a second but I just wanted to mentioned a couple of other things also here on the stand we've got the Avio which is a Huracan to celebrate what is effectiv Italian version of the red Aries you can have it in matte blue matte gray I think and matte green matte green one looks really quite well military which could be quite cool and the hurricane spider over there has a new interior with the forged carbon fiber which you might remember from the s Elemento it kind of looks like um well camouflaged carbon fiber it's an acquired taste I think so what do you get for your 1.75 million EUR plus taxes of course inside the centenario well the big news is that you get a 10-in touchcreen in the middle which is is quite a big departure really for the event door it means they've had to totally redesign this center console here and it it does make the interior look much more modern I have to say it's um yeah I can only assume they're saying that it won't appear in Avent doors for the moment but you you've got to assume there will be an updated facelift of ventor at some point and this will appear because it just yeah it lifts the whole interior massively setting here the car will do not 62 mph in 2.8 seconds and go on to 300 km hour 186 M hour in 23.5 seconds which is just the 10 seconds slower than the new Sheron which I think says more about the shearon than it does denigrate this in any way everything else well some lovely stitching in here as you would expect and apart from that it's fairly much Aventador Fair the seats they do actually feel slightly more comfortable than the Aventador seats which is rather nice still very hard and you got these enormous great paddles here which are such a feature of the car gearbox is still the seven-speed ISR independent shifting Rod gearbox which is a single clutch gearbox and uh yeah it can be fairly bruthal but the same differ if as well the big news as well is that the steering whilst it's still the dynamic steering which we've been fairly sort of well critical of let's face it in the past it's also now tuned with this new rear wheel steering so it'll be interesting to see how that feels we know it can make a car feel much larer and much more agile so that'll be interesting if we ever get to drive one which I sincerely hope we do so there we go that is the new centenario let us know what you think on Twitter and Facebook and all those sorts of things and don't forget to subscribe to the channel as ever thank you very much for watchingwelcome to the
