LG L90 Dual mid range Android Phone Unboxing & Overview

**Initial Impressions**

The LG L90 has a similar interface to the LG G2, which is a familiar and intuitive design. The device's look and feel are very similar to what was seen on the LG G2, making it easy for users who have previously used an LG device to adjust to this new phone.

**Software and Storage**

The LG L90 comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box, which is the latest version of Android at the time of writing. This indicates that the manufacturer has taken care in providing a fresh start for users, ensuring they have access to the latest features and updates.

Regarding storage, the device has eight gigabytes (GB) of internal memory, but only 3.7 GB are available out of the box. The remaining space can be utilized by expanding the microSD card slot, which allows users to add more storage as needed.

**Key Features**

The LG L90 has a few notable features that make it stand out from other mid-range Android devices. One such feature is the "knock on" gesture, which allows users to quickly turn their phone on or off by double-tapping the center of the screen. This feature adds a touch of convenience and can be very useful for those who often forget to check their phone's status.

Another notable feature is the presence of quick toggles, which provide easy access to various settings such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and more. The "quick slide" apps also come in handy, allowing users to quickly switch between frequently used applications.

**Camera Performance**

The LG L90 features an eight-megapixel camera, which may seem like a decent amount of megapixels for a mid-range device. While it's not the highest-resolution camera available, it should provide sufficient quality for everyday photography needs. However, when taking pictures in low-light conditions or requiring more advanced features, the performance may fall short.

**Conclusion**

The LG L90 is a solid mid-range Android device that checks many boxes for users looking for a reliable and feature-rich phone. While it may not offer the highest-end features, its intuitive interface, decent camera performance, and expandable storage make it an attractive option in this price range. Whether you're upgrading from an older phone or looking to try out a new operating system, the LG L90 is definitely worth considering.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranjit and I have this LG l90 with drange Android phone by LG and I was not going to review this unit but I did get a lot of requests so I'm gonna review it and it's a mid-range handset it's actually very similar to the Moto G in terms of the internals but it's a little bit different it sports a 4.7 inch screen which is a qHD screen it sports the 1.2 gigahertz quad-core processor that's based on the Snapdragon 400 chipset the GPU adreno 305 and it comes with an 8 megapixel rear facing camera front-facing camera is a VGA camera and this is dual SIM model and the battery is a 2440 milliamp hour battery and regarding the pricing the price quoted here on the box is 19,000 but I purchased this unit locally in India for around 16,000 the pricing of these were phones change a lot in India so I'll have the link for Flipkart in the show notes so let's just break the seed and let's open this box and we have the LG l90 dual itself again based on your country you might have to lose some of the single selenium there is also a single sim variant available on this one there's also this knock-on cord I'll show you that a bit later let's keep the phone to the side and let's see what else do we get and we have the travel adapter which is a USP type so and we also have a headset but these are not in here these are regular type and we also have this to take hot end calls as you can see we also have the microUSB to USB cable the battery and this is the Quick Start Guide so let me keep all these things to the side and let's look at the handset itself and as you can see the battery is at two thousand five hundred and forty milliamp hour battery and this is based on the arm cortex a7 architecture so the battery life should be pretty good and let us open the back cover let me try to open it up and yes you can open it like this and you can add your both the sims over here and we can also add a micro SD card as you can see that means assuming the micro SD card will go in here and both your sims will go and over here we'll put the sim card a bit later let's put in the battery and let's do the first boot of this device again the build quality is average as plasticky again this is also plastic in nature as you can see and let me take out this protective cover that we have over here so let's take this out let's try to do the first boot of this device before that let me give you a physical overview if we have the 3.5 mm headphone jack and this looks like a IR blaster but I'm not very sure I'll change that up if that's the case it'll be very interesting and on this end we have the power button and nothing else over here on the bottom we have the main microphone micro USB slot for charging and on this end we just have the volume rocker again the initial impressions it looks actually pretty decent from the front portion I would say but the back this plastic does not look that premium but anyways let's do the first boot for this device and it says LG and this is interesting generally we don't see that that we see only while there's a software update or something like that also if you notice we have capacitive buttons that's back home this is the menu and this is for the dual SIM as it's a dual sir we have a dedicated button for time actually the handset feels very light in the hand even with the battery it'll be interesting to see how this 8 megapixel camera performs because I feel that will be the highlighting factor between the Moto G and this LG 90 device and as you can see the first boot is taking a lot of time so I'll just skip this and we are done let me change the language quickly and let us set it up and we can set up our Wi-Fi network I'll just quickly do that and we are connected the keyboard Laird was also nice I like my Google account etc later on let's quickly just set it up and we have this unique knock on code using which it says create your own knock on code using the four corners of the screen when the screen is off if you tap the same sequence anywhere on the screen the home screen can be accessed directly so that is interesting I'll set that up later on but and it also says that it has smart forwarding it says never miss a call with smart forwarding it allows you to receive SIM two calls if you are busy on the silver and vice versa forwarded calls may incur extra charges so you can set up smart forwarding if you have two sims and we can give our lost phone number contact etc I won't do that and we are done it's pretty bright let me adjust the brightness and as you can see if you have used any earlier LG phones the interface looks very similar to that I would say it's feels like lg g2 the same interface LG g2 had let's look at the Android version and let's see if it has that auto brightness sensor also let's go to general and common and software info as you can see it comes out of the box with Android version 4.4.2 that is KitKat so we are getting the latest version of Android on this LG l90 so that's a nice thing regarding the Intel storage it has eight gates we did not add any what do you say micro SD card so let's also look at this to rage here is the storage and out of that 8gb the available space that you get is 3.7 1gb out of the box so this is what you get out of the box it's a little bit less I'll also add later on SD card and see if apps can be moved to that but let's move on and we also have some gas shows you and it's nice to see that we have that knock on gas shirt it says if we quickly double tap the center on the screen to switch on or off let's see if it works and it also gives you this helpful tip so let's try that yes so that knock on code is there I'd really like that knock on code so that is there on this device let me also check the screen settings I just want to check that also yeah it's in display and we don't have auto brightness we just have night brightness option but we do not have any auto brightness setting so you need to manually adjust the brightness on this device so that's kind of sad I would say these are the general settings so as we are now connected to my Wi-Fi network and as you can see we also have these quick toggles over here so that's nice and we also have the quick slide apps that we have seen and many of the other LG devices also so let's look at the apps now and these are the apps that are installed Google specific applications as expected are pre-installed we have LG backup and we have some extra apps like voice recorder we also have a video player and LD smart world so not a lot of junk readers sir pre-installed there are some apps but not a lot of junk here so that's nice so let's just fire up the web browser let's go to our website that's take two - calm this is the standard keyboard and again the phone is very light I would say it's very very light phone let's go to our website that stick to Buster calm and my server is a little bit slow so it might take some time to load the website and as you can see it loaded it pinch-to-zoom was decent regarding the screen itself 4.7 inch screen it's a qHD screen and the screen quality I would say is fairly pretty good and viewing angles are also very nice only if LG should have added auto brightness sensor I would say but it's really nice looks initial impressions the screen looks nice let's open up one of the stories and let me change the orientation let's try to playback this this is a YouTube video let's see if it plays it back surprisingly this feature is pretty loud so initial impressions web browsing also looks decent let's go back to the home and again it says we have this gesture also oops and this way you can add more home screens or rearrange the home screens have required pretty easy and you can move the widgets also like this I think so yes that works as expected let's take google now also it should work what's the weather like so don't let me to meet this let's try that knock on coal also once more and it's in standby fan that works so that's nice I would say and we are getting a lot of tips here and that says you can turn on the screen or architecture so let me switch that off and let's also quickly look at the camera it's eight megapixel camera that LG has provided and we do have that tap to focus it is taking some time focusing this takes about a second or two to focus I would say let me take one more shot let's preview these pictures I mean this is an artificial light the picture is a little bit soft to my liking but again this one came out a little bit better and I'll be testing the camera a lot more I'll make a dedicated video regarding the camera performance of this LG l90 device so looks like a decent Android phone and looks like a decent what do you say mid-range Android phone so I will be testing this LG l90 a lot so if you have any specific questions regarding this device do post them in the comment section I'll try to include them in my review thank you for watching this video this is Ranjit and I hope to see you in my next videohi there this is Ranjit and I have this LG l90 with drange Android phone by LG and I was not going
