I've been doing some upcycling lately and I wanted to show you guys one of my favorite projects that I did using an old book. So, like, I have this book downstairs as well that I gave to my mom but um I ripped a piece of paper out of it I know that is terrible but the book was already really torn and it was it wasn't readable anyway so um I decided to upcycle it which is there's nothing wrong with that um at least the book gets new life and it doesn't just go in the garbage so I took a piece of the paper out of the book and I just put it in a frame and then I made the poppy look like a flower you can do that with all sorts of things you can press a flower on top of a book page you can do really cool things and make some pretty cool bookish artart using some old books and just upcycling them

One of my favorite stores on the Internet is Litographs they have the coolest things where basically what they do is they take the whole text of a novel a really popular novel they have some old ones they have newer ones they have just the coolest things and they take that text of a novel and they turn it into a piece of art so they have scarves they have T-shirts they have actual posters like art prints they have all sorts of stuff and I'm actually wearing a t-shirt from there right now so this I actually got for my birthday and it is the entire text of Alice in Wonderland and it's on like an ALICE shirt I don't think you guys can see it too well so I will put a picture of me wearing it but I am obsessed with this shirt and it is so pretty and like even on the back like it's so cool to have the whole entire text of Alison Wonderland on me and the material of these shirts is so nice too and I love the style of it and the fit like I just really love this shirt and I also was able to get a scarf now this I got from my best friend for my birthday but this I was actually sent from Litographs so thank you so much to them for sending this to me this is the entire text of Alice in Wonderland on a scarf and it is so cool I absolutely love it and it's a really nice material for scarf and you just wrap it around like you can wear it however obviously but it's not like too chunky of a scarf so you don't feel like you're like suffocating but it's like a really nice size for a scarf and they have all sorts of things they have Alice in Wonderland obviously they have Throne of Glass they have uh Cinder by Marissa Meyer they have like Peter Pan they have all sorts of things

sell all sorts of bookish candles one of my personal favorites is the melting Library they have candles that smell so so good I can't find mine right now but they have really nice candles that smell amazing and they're based off of all sorts of different things from contemporary books so if you're a fan of a Court of uh thorns and Roses by Sarah J Mass they have a night court candle they have literally a candle for everything and they have beautiful packaging like I said there are a ton of different options for candle shops on Etsy so just search for bookish candles and I'm sure you will find a ton I've tried a few companies and there are none that I don't like so you can't really go wrong and just kind of speaking of two of those other companies are uh labrary designs they have this lovely lovely butterbeer candle it just oh my God it smells just like butterbeer so I always am lighting that one and then there's this one and this is from frostbeard Studio which has some really cute candles as well and this one is reading at the cafe which oh my God it smells like coffee it is amazing and candles are always great bookish or not because it's always nice to sit down light a candle have like a cup of coffee and just enjoy a good book so you can combine a lot of these gifts to make a cute little kind of reading care package whether you get them a gift card so they can buy their own books get them a gift card to their favorite bookstore my favorite bookstore is Chapters Indigo so you could definitely I mean I work there so I'm kind of biased but they are the best and they were my favorite before I even worked there so you can get them a gift card to whatever the local bookstore is and then you can get them a candle and you can get them a blanket a blanket is always great whether it's bookish or not a lot of shops on like Redbubble and Society 6 are two great websites that have a bunch of designers and artists that make these things and you can buy them in all sorts of different formats like you can buy mugs you can buy blankets you can buy laptop sleeves phone cases all of this really cool stuff but a blanket is great because curling up with a blanket is just so so lovely when you want to read a nice book and this one is from Chapters Indigo and it is just so soft and it's a nice little throw and I absolutely love this blanket and it is kind of it just makes for a perfect little addition to a reading care package another kind of must have for a reading care package is a good mug like I kind of mentioned a mug just I feel like Book Lovers a lot of times they like hot drinks to have with their books cuz it just feels so cozy so whether it's coffee or tea or hot chocolate you you can get them like coffee beans or like a little thing of ground coffee you can get them tea and you can get them um hot chocolate mix either when like whatever one that they like and then you can put it in a nice little bookish mug this one is an aliceon Wonderland mug shocker I got it I don't even know where a long time ago but like I said Society 6 and red red bubble have some really really nice mugs that you can get made by all these different designers and they're really affordable as well and they always seem to have sales a couple of my my favorite designers I really like Evo I will link all the stuff down below cuz it's kind of hard to say the names of some of these shops but Eevee coo or Eevee bookish her Channel or her name is different on Society 6 than it is on Redbubble but I'm sure you'll be able to find her very easily she from both of those shops um you can get pillows you can get mugs like you can make the ultimate gift and I think that a really great gift for a book lover that you don't know what they own is to get them a gift card to their favorite bookstore a mug a blanket and maybe even some of my favorite things which one second reading socks these things are literally the best these we sell at the bookstore that I work at Chapters Indigo um you can find them online on their website and they are so so lovely they are like they're basically normal socks except they're not because they are fur lined so they are so warm for the winter they're so nice and cozy and they are they're literally just so amazing and they are the absolute best we have tons of different patterns these ones are christmy but there's like plain ones and there's checkered ones there's all sorts of stuff and they're super cute and I love them for this time of year cuz my feet get so cold and curling up with a nice book and my reading socks is just pure Bliss another great thing to kind of add in to a little reading care package is a bookmark bookmarks can either be expensive or they can be a nice little inexpensive addition now I have a couple of bookmark shops that I really love I love crafted van they have their little magnetic bookmarks that are absolutely adorable and they have all sorts of different ones but I also really like the shop cool bookmark they have metal bookmarks that are so wellmade and so so lovely and they look absolutely amazing and you can find both of those shops on Etsy as well as J for you which makes these beautiful little butterfly bookmarks that like sit on the top of your book they're absolutely amazing and I love them another great bookish gift is book ends bookends can make a great bookish gift cuz they are beautiful but then they also like enhance your shelf and they're also practical they are just really great and I found some of the most beautiful bookends I have ever seen on Etsy in the shop I know I'm probably going to pronounce incorrectly but I will link them down below for you guys highly recommend you check it out but it is design atellier article and they are so so pretty they have so many different book ends and they're all metal and really wellmade and I actually have a pair of the aliceon Wonderland ones are on their way to me from this shop so they are just very very gorgeous another great shop is STC handmade they have all sorts of different origami pieces of jewelry which are so so cool and it's like you can tell they were so intricately made and the fact that their handmade they make an amazing gift say you have a girlfriend who really loves books but you don't know what to get her and you don't know what she's read then jewelry is definitely a really great way to go and Booker jewelry is even better another great store is rock paper books rock paper books makes Classics and they like revamp the covers I actually have a couple of them so both of these I actually received in an owl crate the one is the Alice and Wonderland one that I got in the November owl crate but it's up on a shelf and I don't really want to get it but I also got the The Time Machine by HG Wells and they just do like new covers for these books and they are beautifully designed and they're just very very cool it's all the original text in here but they just have a different cover design they're really well made and I'd highly recommend checking them out another really cool thing is that a lot of shops on Etsy they make purses and wallets and stuff like that out of old books so a great shop for that is novel Creations they have all sorts of different books that or different purses and wallets rather that have been made out of books and they are beautiful and make a really cool fashion statement now one of my favorite things on my bookshelf is this right here which is this little book that um folds to say read I actually got this from um book outlet and it gives you like a guide on how to fold it so it doesn't actually come like this this one I had to do myself but the ones that I found on Etsy I Believe come folded if I'm not mistaken but one really great shot for that is sail gifts and they have custom ones so you can get it to say someone's name you can get it to say all sorts of stuff and they also have ones that are pre-made that are absolutely beautiful these make such a great addition to anyone's bookshelf and they're just so cool art is another really great gift and there's tons of bookish art on Etsy and um a really great shop for it is blueberry blooms they have super super cool paintings that are from um more recent popular ya covers like they had the Raven boys they had the Throne of Glass series the painting are so well made and they are just absolutely beautiful so I think that would make a really great gift for someone to get them their favorite book but like painted on the cover so then they can have it like hanging up in their room that would be awesome there's also some really cool DIY things that you can do with books for example um when I got back from France I brought some poppies back with me and I
