The Driveshaft Shop Experience: A Journey of Trials and Triumphs
Over to the driveshaft shop and they can cut it from there and then we can bring it back and Drago will have a driveshaft again. It should be four-wheel drive so we're gonna go ahead and get it bolted up and then we'll also show you with you I'll hold it up do you much pay too much? It's going to use some tape to mark our edge Jimmy do you have an extra sharpie who's gonna mark the tape there you go ain't you bouncing draw an arrow on it to be sure maybe right flange of that liners and then now a good either we're using the tape as a our lines yeah portray him right there. Yeah, it's a pretty nifty little adapter there! It is you're about ready to party here? Yeah, it was about so close you just need this piece right here dude you know you know what's missing right up there.
Oh turbo cool for sure? Yeah, my brother gave to your brake sorry yeah I know in that caliper yeah I got it I was gonna do it right here that's why I brought it. I thought about it we just got this tape right here we just drew a little arrow on it to make sure we remember what side that is but yeah we're just gonna bring it over to them and don't know what to do from there? Yeah, it's tell them if that's where the flange is basically that is how much it's too much. So, they'll cut that back and be good.
Allen actually well it's not that much as two minutes that holds Juna up to the flange so yeah like I said this has a whole bunch of flux so we'll be good tonight. Hey guys we just got back to the shop we got the driveshaft dropped off for WAGO. It turns out that they did not have the driveshaft anymore for the hon drew so we had them make a new driveshaft for an STI and we took so long to pick it up that they ended up selling it to someone else who I guess needed it for their STI but we told me we needed another one made and they said that that one will be ready tomorrow as well as the one for WAGO. So, if we're gonna go back there tomorrow and we should have a driveshaft for both WAGO and Honda ready to go tomorrow so then all the four-wheel drive stuff will be hooked back up again but wago is actually back in aw baby over here not in Jamie's lift anymore because I went to go do the caliper but it turns out they gave me the wrong one. It came off like an EF hatchback which has a different size brake pad and stuff so I'm gonna have to bring that one back and then they also ordered me the right one which will be here on Saturday so we also got the K 24 block shipped out to CSS for Honda as well so that should be coming back to us hopefully in the next few weeks once they get all that done they'll have it sometime next week but ya mean Amelia. Oh, we're just busy all day running around getting things done but we are back now but it's been pretty late after we were messing around with that caliper and trying to figure out what was wrong with that got why go back over here but I think people are starting to get out of here Ben's head now and haven't showed Bret in a minute but he's all busy here he's been tuning away cleaning that type r earlier and it was awesome.
Pedro's in here doing more work on the shower starting to get the concrete all laid out the bottom. He has just like plastic laid down around the drain got all the do rock laid out all the way around got our faucets and the valves for everything so it's coming along. You don't mind the mess on the floor because we're still coming through? Yep, well guys that's pretty much it for tonight meeting Amelia I spent like all day just running around when we got the driveshaft dropped off and getting his block shipped out because everything was so far apart that that's really all we did. forgot the keys to the truck and it's kind of blocking this Bay right here so we're gonna have to maneuver the waggle out this other door right here we got Brent's four-wheeler we're gonna hook up the four-wheeler to waggle and we're actually going to pool lag go around to Jaime's Bay over where the lift is we're gonna lift this thing up and today we're gonna try to measure where we need to get the drive shaft cut and shortened so we can go take it and get it made and then once we get that done we can hook it back up and get the all wheel drive working on WAGO again I'm also gonna go ahead and throw on that new brake caliper while it's on the list because that would be a lot easier and we also need to get any driveshaft for the Honda if you guys remember a while back 100 stock drive shaft was a little blown out that you joints were all loose we got that one dropped off a while ago and I believe it's gonna be the same shop they're gonna be taking wagons driveshaft ooh and that one's all done so at the same time we can go pick up the new Drive shop for Honda roof it's all ready to go and we can get this one dropped off and then we also need to get the K 24 block shipped out to CSS so we're gonna try to see if we can get that wrapped up today and get it ready to be shipped out and just go from there but yeah we're gonna get this thing strapped up for the four-wheeler real quick and bring it over to Jamie's Bay of course there's a Coke in there of course there's a coke and Brynn's four-wheeler yeah Oh so that's all I had three spots I took that done I went to the gym you've never been underneath it only on Jackson my driver know their self clearance from being too low see look here you can see it under here see the rest under there look right here right here it's bad right in there you know look guys no one knew about wha goes rust I only go through and take this off one day and I'm gonna cut all that out and I'm gonna weld in some new metal right there it's the driver sides the worst side the passenger is not as bad I don't think but there's some on both oh no it's still pretty bad over there it's hard to see but yeah there's some rust under these and this would have been so nice to have a lift when I took this thing out now such a pain so much easier to work on - I know we need to get a lift soon on our side in Sam hey guys we got Lyle up on the lift the front half of the drive shaft we took this off when we first drove this thing around the block because the drive shaft was like way too long and it was dragging on the ground so I took that off and got back up on the lift and we're gonna measure for how long it needs to be because we need to cut some of it off and just get it reweld 'add this right here is the adapter from Hub City performance that we got in World Cup so this guy that's right over the factory K series transfer case right here it has this like CNC machined lip that fits perfectly right in there like so and then it came with these Allen's that screw it in there so what we're gonna do is we're going to bolt this up right here and then I can show you guys on this side where it's recessed this has a lip on this drive drive - and then that just meets up right there and then same thing goes with this one we'd have some Allen's and then not bolts from this side so it has eight total holes for the screws to go through but we're gonna go ahead and pull this side up with the adapter plate and then we're going to hang the drive shaft right here and we are going to mark where it needs to bolt up and then the drive shaft drop then we take this - we'll take care of everything else now this doesn't need to be super exact this is going to be hooked it up right here and then we're just gonna mark it just like that and then we will let them know that that is the face of this right here and then this bolts to this plate right here and this has quite a bit of play in it so you know it can easily move a half-inch either way so as long as we're really really close it's not going to be an issue so we're gonna go ahead and get this bolted up real quick we'll make our line and then we can humble everything and this will be ready to be taken over to the driveshaft shop and they can cut it from there and then we can bring it back and Drago will have a driveshaft again it should be four-wheel drive so we're
