5 SIMPLE Tech Tips

**Denki Tech Hacks**

Hey everyone, welcome back to Denki! Today we're counting down our top 5 tech hacks that you might find useful in your daily lives.

**Number 5: Secret Function Keys**

Most keyboards have function keys right at the top, going from F1 to F12. However, something people seldom know about or really utilize are keys F13 to F24. These extra function keys exist natively on Mac and Windows, but can be mapped to any button of your choosing.

This is especially handy for power users who have extra buttons on say a macro pad device like the Stream Deck. It can also be mapped onto your existing keyboard with a little bit of configuring. The main reason why you'd want to do this is to create simple shortcuts or macros without overlapping or overwriting ones that already exist.

**Number 4: Unexpected Feature - Wireless Noise Canceling Earbuds**

Wireless noise canceling earbuds are undeniably popular these days, and it's not hard to see why. They offer plenty of convenience and allow you to focus on your music or tune out the world around you. But have you ever considered using them to protect your hearing?

I go to a lot of concerts and something I'm getting more and more conscious of is taking care of myself while I'm having fun. In the short term, a three-hour concert can leave my ears ringing temporarily, but doing that multiple times a year can yield harsh long-term effects.

For me, hearing protection is a non-negotiable. I have a nice set of earplugs that are specifically designed and tuned for concert use, so that I can hear everything clearly just at a reasonable level. However, I'm only human and sometimes admittedly I leave them at home. And that's where my earbuds come in.

Yes, these are AirPods Pro too! While it might seem counter-intuitive to use noise canceling headphones during an intimate musical performance, in a pinch, these can be your best friend all thanks to its transparency mode. This will of course work with any ANC earbuds with the same feature though you are at the mercy of how well it works on those headphones.

**Number 3:...**
