iTunes 10.5 is Now Available! A Look at the New Features

Introduction to iTunes 10.5

What's going on guys? This is Brandon from Daily Ifix.com and today I'll be telling you about the new iTunes 10.5. This was just released to the public this morning, and not all the features are available yet. Some of them have not come out yet tomorrow, so we'll have to wait a bit longer to see those in action. However, I will give you an overview of what's new in this version, and I'll also be giving you tutorials on how to use these new features tomorrow.

The Cloud

One of the biggest most talked about things is iTunes Cloud, which is actually going to be called "iTunes in the cloud". It's not going to be referred to as just "iTunes Cloud", but that's what it's officially going to be called. So, basically, it stores your purchases and makes them available on your devices anywhere, anytime, at no additional cost. This means that no matter where you buy an application or a song, it will show up on all your devices that you have synced with it automatically, right after you download it. For example, if you purchase something from the App Store on your iPhone and then sync your device with iCloud, you'll be able to access that same app on your iPad or Mac without having to download it again.

Wi-Fi Syncing

Another feature that's been available in beta for a while now is Wi-Fi syncing. This allows you to sync your devices over Wi-Fi instead of needing to connect them via USB or Bluetooth. iOS 5 will be the first version of iOS that includes this feature, and I'm excited to see how it works out in practice. With Wi-Fi syncing, you'll be able to access all the content on your device without having to worry about cables or other connectivity issues.

Automatic Downloads

One of the coolest features of iTunes in the cloud is automatic downloads. If you purchase something from the App Store or download a song from iTunes, it will automatically sync with your devices and make it available for you to access whenever you want. This means that no matter where you are or what device you're using, you'll always have access to all the music and apps you've purchased.

Match Made in iCloud

Another feature that's included in iTunes 10.5 is Match Made in iCloud. This is a subscription service that costs $24.99 per year, but it's well worth it if you're a music lover like me. With Match Made in iCloud, you can store up to five gigs of your music library in the cloud, and then access it from any device with an internet connection. This means that no matter where you are or what device you're using, you'll always have access to all your favorite songs.

Conclusion
