It got BIGGER? | Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 2023 (and more!)CES 2023

**CES 2023: The Future of Displays**

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is always a exciting event for tech enthusiasts, and this year's edition did not disappoint. One of the most impressive aspects of CES 2023 was the display technology on show. In this article, we'll take a closer look at some of the most innovative displays that caught our attention.

**Transparent OLED TV**

LG unveiled its brand new LG OLED T TV, which is the first transparent OLED to be sold at retail. This stunning display features a transparent OLED panel that can be used as an art piece with a city or forest background. However, if you want to watch something more traditional, the TV will roll up a black screen behind the transparency layer, allowing it to function effectively as a normal OLED TV.

**Zero Connect Box**

The icing on the cake is that the TV comes with a stand and utilizes LG's Zero Connect box, minimizing all of the wires and cables in the setup. This innovative design makes it easy to set up and enjoy high-quality visuals without the clutter of cables.

**Computer Monitors: A Different Ball Game**

Displays are one thing, but computer monitors are another story altogether. We were impressed by the number of OLED monitors on display at LG's booth, including their 42-inch flexible monitor (OLED Flex) and a 45-inch Ultra gear OLED with a 21x9 aspect ratio and an 800R curve.

**Samsung's Odyssey OLED**

Samsung has long been known for its gaming monitors, and this year was no exception. Their new 49-inch Odyssey OLED features a stunning 1800R curve, 240Hz refresh rate, 0.1 millisecond response time, and dual Quad HD resolution. This monitor is sure to deliver an immersive gaming experience like no other.

**The King of Gaming Monitors: Odyssey Neo G9**

Samsung's Odyssey Neo G9 has been the king of gaming monitors for years, and this year it got even bigger - 57 inches! And with an 8K by 4K resolution, this monitor is set to deliver unparalleled visual quality. However, be prepared for a challenge in finding space on your desk!

**AMD's Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX**

To push all of those pixels to the Monitor and Max it out again at 8K by 4K, you actually need DisplayPort 2.1. And guess what? The only device that happens to have that Port is AMD's Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX. We got to play some Forza Horizon on this thing and were blown away by the level of immersion.

That's a wrap for our CES 2023 display showcase! If we missed your favorite, let us know in the comments below. Thanks for watching, and we hope to see you guys in the next video!

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enin this video I'm going to be talking about the things that interested me the most at this year's CES let's talk about it before I jump in I just want to thank you guys for getting denki to 100 000 subscribers it especially means a lot considering that the first video on this channel was exactly a year ago at last year's CES the story of that particular piece was that it was the first time the show was back coming out of the coronavirus at that time CES was running in a reduced capacity many Brands hardly showed up and for the ones that did there was a significantly smaller audience to show their products to but having gone to CES 2023 it's very clear that the show is back in normal capacity not only in numbers of people but also in just the sheer amount of stuff that was announced so here are the things that I found that pique my interest now it wouldn't be a CS without a new slate of laptop announcements from all of the major manufacturers AMD announcing their new 7000 series laptop chips the top of which has Zen 4 and goes up to 16 cores Intel with their 13th gen laptop CPUs will hit all the way up to 24 cores and of course Nvidia has their 40 series gpus going in to laptops as well put all of this together and laptops are looking incredibly powerful in 2023 now I couldn't quite check out every single laptop that was announced at CES nor would I really have the time to do so but Asus and Razer were awesome enough to give me tours of their booth and I gotta say the laptops were pretty dope first thing that I thought was really cool this year was a shift to 16 by 10 laptop displays there are a few reasons why this would be a weird change one of which especially is the fact that when you watch 16x9 video on say YouTube or Netflix you get hit with the black letterboxing on the top and bottom however in my opinion the pros outweigh the cons the main benefit here is that screen bezels get way Slimmer in the context of laptop chassis these companies already manufacture it might not be something a lot of us think about but when you design a laptop for a 16x9 screen if you want to keep the bezel slim you also need to make the deck shorter as well this cuts into keyboard space trackpad space there's less places to put your hand so as far as ergonomics go 16 by 10 is the way to go I can talk about displays all day but performance is another key Point especially when we consider thermals at least on the Asus side of things they're cooling all of their Arrow G gaming laptops with liquid metal as standard across the board when we're talking 65 65p on ryzen 7000 or Intel 13 gen and up to 175 Watt tgp on Nvidia RTX 4000 series gpus crazy Vapor Chambers and custom fans help mitigate all of that heat and ring out an insane amount of performance and luckily on the highest end we're now seeing 18 inch laptops come back Asus has an 18 inch Rog Scar and strix Razer has their blade 18 which should hopefully be enough to mitigate thermal throttling even with how thin their chassis are but perhaps one of the most intriguing laptops I've seen at this year's CES was Asus Pro Art Studio book 16 with its 3D glasses free display with a traditional OLED screen tons of additional layers and eye tracking they're able to make a 3D display that will follow you no matter what angle you have on the screen guys I show you not the models were popping out of the screen and with that eye tracking I can move around and look at it as if it was in Virtual space and the best part is that you can turn it on or off meaning it's as involved or as out of the way as you want it to be from a technical perspective it's cool that they were able to cram all of this Hardware into a laptop on the Practical side it actually makes a surprising amount of sense when you consider that you can preview stuff in 3D in a similar way to how you would with a virtual reality headset this can be useful if you're designing stuff in 3D or often monitor 3D models maybe you're designing stuff for a video game or checking out 3D models of hearts or brains or whatever surgeons do of course these are far beyond use cases that the average consumer will be seeing and content that takes advantage of this technology will be few and far in between but the implementation at least from the demos that I've seen has been surprisingly good so the fact that there is some potential here is making me curious on how far this stuff can really go but that's kind of the beauty of CES isn't it we get to see the bleeding edge of Cool Tech and if it catches on little hipster us can be like I saw before was cool now of course because these products were literally just announced and I'm checking these out in a Convention Center for short periods of time if you guys want to see more in-depth coverage on this year's gaming laptops let me know in the comments below and hit that subscribe button for more content CES is always a great place to take a look at new displays and The Usual Suspects are bringing improvements to TVs Samsung's continuing to improve on their quantum.ol ads making them brighter and brighter whereas LG are thinking outside the box quite literally their brand new signature M3 OLED features a zero connect box allowing you to connect up to three HDMI 2.1 devices wirelessly to the TV itself in fact this box is the entire brains of the TV being beamed incredibly fast to the panel itself leaving it with only one wired connection the power cable I'm sure the amount of data being beamed between the box and the TV is massive which makes this all the more impressive but even crazier than that is the brand new LG OLED T the T standing for transparent and while they made transparent oleds in the past this one is actually going to be sold at retail it's probably going to be a lot of money to be fair but the fact that it'll be available to anyone that wants to buy it is really cool nonetheless well you probably wouldn't want to play video games or watch movies with the transparency on maybe it's just going to display an art piece with the backdrop of a city or a forest in the background whatever rich people you have in your house then if you want to watch something in a more traditional way the TV will roll up a black screen behind the transparency layer so that you can motion was incredible as well we're actually going to be taking a look at it on the Austin Evans Channel pretty soon and I can't wait I want to put this thing through its Paces but really when it
